Chapter 16 - 16. Wish

"Greetings, Princess Cerllynda.

I don't know what to say to you. I just want to tell you, never overdo it and also don't blame yourself for everything that has happened to us. If it's true that we can't be together, then you and I won't be able to do anything anymore.

I love you very much Princess, this is my impudence to you. I don't want King Carlin to hurt you like he slapped you this morning. My heart aches like it hurts as much as your white cheeks are flushed red from King Carlin's slap, I know it must be really painful right? So is your heart.

I also wanted to say if I allow you to hope that I will win tomorrow morning's battle. But, I'm afraid you'll be disappointed by the expectations you made, Princess, I'll do my best for you. Now, wipe your tears and smile. Don't let yourself cry Princess, your tears that are dripping will only make my heart hurt, I don't want to see it. I love you Princess.

Greetings Gressilia."

Princess Cerllynda was silent when she read the reply letter from her idol. Tears rolled down her cheeks again. It felt suffocating, all the sentences written on the paper seemed to describe if Gressylia wanted to give up but couldn't because she was forced to fight.

"Are you going to give in to, Gress?" Princess Cerllynda whispered, who immediately burst into tears.

He couldn't give up his hopes of marrying Gressylia. Because she only wanted Gressylia alone, nothing else.

"Okay Gress. If you're only struggling because you see me struggling right now. So, watch me who will fight for this love, because this is the only thing that makes you fight. I'm sorry if I'm too selfish Gress," muttered Princess Cerllynda while wiping her tears with Rough. He tried not to cry so as not to make Gressylia sad about it.

"Mina, please make me sweet tea," asked Princess Cerllynda to Mina, her maid.

He wanted to calm her confused mind. Between wanted to give up because there seemed to be no hope in front of her, but she didn't want to lose her idol.

Mina came out of Princess Cerllynda's room to the kitchen to ask the maid on duty in the kitchen to make Princess Cerllynda's tea.

Meanwhile, Princess Cerllynda is now silent with her chaotic thoughts. She lay limp on her bed without intending to do any activity. He was too dizzy and tired of this love affair.

But, this love has snatched her eyes and ears. She was blinded by love, but her heart was not wrong. She has chosen a good man who will bring prosperity to his country. Just because of the caste issue and his father's disapproval of it, of course it made him feel a little stressed if she kept thinking about it.

"Princess, here's the tea," Mina said in a low voice.

He put the hot tea on the nightstand, glanced at the princess who was now only curled up limply, she was not crying, but she was more like someone who did not have the will to live.

Mina finally chose to leave the princess's room, leaving her alone in the room. She needs calm in order to get through his days of fighting for her love with Gressylia.

Time seemed very slow. I don't know when this day will end and be replaced with a tomorrow full of hope. Princess Cerllynda sighed repeatedly, she was quite tired of what had happened recently as well as all her decisions to oppose the caste that made her unable to think about her idol completely.

"Mother, if you know I love a poor young man and want to marry him, will you be angry with me as much as father. Mother, I miss you, I want to hug you," whined Princess Cerllynda again with tears falling again. She is quite a crybaby, very easy to cry.

Sge again wiped her tears violently. She didn't want to look messy the next day in front of everyone with her eyes red from crying and swelling a little, even the bags under her eyes were a little black from sleeping too late.

Everyone said that she was the prettiest girl in Carvandalle, so she had to maintain this beauty too. But, for now she didn't really care about any of that.

All day Princess Cerllynda was silent in her room. She was not at all reluctant to go out even to have dinner with hee father. She only asked her two servants to bring hee food into the room. Sge wanted to be alone to calm the anxiety in her heart.

King Carlin certainly didn't like Princess Cerllynda's current behavior, but he who was angry chose to remain silent and left his daughter in her room all day after she meeting with the man named Gressylia who had made his daughter fall in love and dared to oppose him.

Now Princess Cerllynda is silent on the balcony of her room. She was just silent while feeling the night breeze that hit his body like the gentle caress of a mother. The sky was completely dark, there were only stars that twinkled as far as the eye could see the night sky, with the crescent-shaped moon that faithfully accompanies the star.

She smiled faintly at the night view which he always liked when she saw it from a height. From her balcony he could see the twinkling lights of the village below. Very beautiful, once in a while a firefly back and forth in the dark.

"Mina! Please get me paper and pen!" Princess Cerllynda asked her maid.

Mina obeyed and immediately got the paper and pen for the princess.

Princess Cerllynda was silent for a moment, she wanted to pour her heart out at this moment, this afternoon she really wanted to reply to Gressylia's letter, but she was too confused about what to reply.

Tonight, she wants to share half of her heart for the young man she loves. She began to carve letter by letter until it became a sentence. When she finished writing, she immediately rolled up the paper, tied it with a red ribbon and gave it to a dove who would give the letter to her idol who might be looking up at the same sky as she is now.

She was just silent watching the departure of the dove who had always been traveling to send her letters to the intended people. She smiled faintly, wishing Gressylia well with the hope that tomorrow would be a happy day.

Today, she only hoped. She wanted Gressylia to be her husband. She wanted Gressylia to win in tomorrow's competition that everyone could see.

"If, Gressylia fails and loses. What should I do?" murmured Princess Cerllynda again feeling angry.

"I made it like this. I also have to take responsibility for all of this. But, how?"

She kept wondering to herself while trying to be sure and not to worry about tomorrow.

It seemed like a very long night, a very long morning. She couldn't wait to see Gressylia. She wanted to see his prowess again a second time. She wanted to fall in love again with the greatness of Gressylia to love everything that was in him.

"God, help me. I firmly believe that only he is the best for me. I don't want a noble's son or the Crown Prince. They are all not people I love. They are also not good enough people in my eyes, I'm afraid they want something and don't love me . Lord, save me from all this. I am very afraid, please strengthen me."

Incessantly Princess Cerllynda uttered her heart's restlessness to the wind that blew, to the pitch black night and the stars and moon that glowed beautifully.
