"I'm out then!" I yelled towards my boss.
I had always been a hard worker, but I always looked forward to when I could go home. Work is always a bore.
My name is jack. I'm a 22 year old man who went out of university straight into the workforce.
Currently I'm walking homeβ¦
'Man I'm tired. I can't wait to get home and finally sleep.' Ive never had a car so I was walking home. It was 10 PM and the streets were desolate.
I walked for about 15 minutes. It was dark and gloomy. Not many people out. It was lightly sprinkling rain.
'Damm, I knew I should've brought my umbrella.' I was wet and tired and just about ready to sleep.
"Hey you can I get some help with something."
A hooded man with a ski mask over his head approached me. He wore a grey, worn hoodie with some baggy black sweat pants. He began walking towards me.
'What the hells with this guys attire. He looks like trouble.'
"Nah man sorry. I have places to be and can't waste any time." I calmly replied.
The man continued approaching while I continued backing up.
'Okay, that's definitely not normal. I'm out of here!' As I made up my mind and turned to run off, I slipped on a glass bottle on the ground.
'Fuck!' My Ankle hurt like hell. I must have sprained it.
"Give me all your valuables." The man suddenly pulled out a knife after getting into range of me.
He jumped on me and started rummaging through my pockets.
"What the hell is your problem. Get off me!" I yelled towards him. I pushed him off. Honestly more afraid than anything else.
Soon I gave up and let him take my stuff.
"Give me the rest!" The thief demanded me to give up stuff I don't have. He was like a hungry dog, searching for a bite to eat.
"You have everything man I swear!" I spoke to him in a scared voice. Fear was practically pouring out my mouth.
The man looked me over one more time before plunging his knife into my gut.
"Aurgh!" I yelped in pain.
In and out, in and out, in and out. The man stabbed me without rest.
"Arghhh!" I screamed out. Blood was pouring out my wounds and I felt a sharp and hot pain in my lower body.
The man on me searched my pockets before grabbing my wallet, phone, and house keys he had dropped in the scuffle before running off.
There I sat alone. Painting the street, cloths dyed red. Tears were pouring out of my eyes. I was afraid. My parents and friends wont even be able to see me off.
'Why? Why did this have to happen to me of all people? I've been good my whole life!' I was upset at the world. It seemed at this moment my whole life was coming crashing down.
Blood began to force its way up my throat as if reaching for the sky. My wounds throbbed in pain and my whole body was out of my control.
Fear took over my mind. But not before anger I've never felt before pushed its way into my brain.
'It hurtsβ¦ so muchβ¦.. these rotten bastardsβ¦. Scumbags!'
With that. My eyes lost the shine of the living and my body shut down. My hands went limp and I stopped breathing. My heart beat was goneβ¦

"Gasp!"
My eyes shot open. I was breathing faster than I ever have been before.
I reached down to touch where the knife hit me.
'No wounds!' Surprise could clearly be seen written on my face.
"Kaz! krazis! Are you okay?!" A loud voice yelled for me.
I looked back and saw a large burly man with brown hair. He looked to be middle aged and fatigue could be seen on his face. In his hand, a steel sword with lots of little nicks was painted red.
"Krazis! Dear god boy. I though I lost you!" The man closed onto me and hugged me.
'Krazis? What the hell is going on here? Why does this man have a sword and most importantly where the hell am I?' I was confused. I had just been bleeding out in the middle of the street not to long ago.
'Is this a coma!?' I thought as I began sweating.
Uncertainty was all I could feel at this moment. My eyes wavered and I looked over my surroundings.
"Don't worry son. I killed that dammed animal. You have nothing to worry about." The mans last words where said with struggle as he cried and hugged harder.
From afar it would look like a beautiful moment shared between father and son. But unbeknownst to the father, his son was long gone.
'What the hell is going on hereβ¦' Krazis was confused but for now he just hugged his "father" back.
"It's okay father. I'm alright" my voice was high pitched. Clearly male but not a voice that belongs to a 21 year old adult man.
The dad must have been too happy to notice his young sons odd way of greeting him and continued to hug.

Soon enough "Father" and I walked up a path towards a wooden cabin. When we opened the door a middle aged women with deep brown hair tied in a bun stared at me. She was slightly underweight by one glance and had red eyes like she had been crying.
"Kaz! I told you not to g-go near that dammed forest! Wolves are all over the p-p-place!" Despite her harsh words little hiccups and tears were sprinkled into her words. It was clear this person loved me as much as "Father"
"I'm glad for your concern mom." My voice was bleak. I learned before that I'm a child. Looking at my hands they are far too small for an adults. Looking down I can see I'm not too tall.
My voice wasn't one of a child's. It was filled with bitter anger. My mom looked worried but soon shook it off.
Soon my mother came to me and gave a hug as great as my fathers.
"I'm so glad your okay Kaz!" My mother cried out as my dad looked on with a warm smile.
Despite the warm atmosphere I was upset. My life has been cut short. Soon I was thinking of my current situation.
As my new parents hugged me I thought of my past. I thought of my old parents.
Sadness gripped my now lively heart, tears flooded out of my eyes as I thought about the people I've left behind. My parents, friends and girlfriend. All of it was goneβ¦
