She looks at the man in Infront of her and all the questions she had disappear. He stands tall and he is huge and he doesn't look very happy to see her as the grim look on his face doesn't change as he sets down the tray that he came in carrying.
He is wearing white overalls and white boots and she wonders where they wore such an outfit. Maybe the hospital.
Was she sick?
He doesn't say a word to her he just turns around and the space that had opened up closed.
She picks up the tray that the man placed on the floor and goes back to her bed as she starts scrutinizing the things that were on the tray.
There was a piece of bread that was too hard but she was starving so she didn't care. There was a small bowl that contained a green substance in it which she didn't know its name.
She pokes a spoon that had come with it and it jiggles so she takes a little of it and puts it in her mouth. It tastes sweet so she swallows it and tells herself that she would ask what it was, that was if that man came back to her room again.
There were some pills in a container and a glass of water which meant that she was sick.
Then again did hospitals tie up people? Or maybe she just hurt people that's why they tied her up.
She ate her bread and the green substance and when she was finished she took the pills and swallowed them.
She put the tray on the floor and waited for something to happen.
At least one question had been answered. She was not the only person alive.
She studied what she was dressed in and it was a white gown that fitted her loosely. There was a name on the gown but she couldn't figure out what it was or pronounce it.
"P R O J E C T Z ", she tried pronouncing it and failed miserably at it.
She felt stupid.
After some time the little cube which served as a doorway opened up and this time round there were two people instead of one but none of them looked like the man who had come before.
There were new ones and they had some sort of thing on their hands.
"Stand up ", one of them said with a huge voice and she did as she was told.
"Put your hands to the front ", the man who had asked her to stand up said again.
She did so and the other man put the object over her hands and in one swift motion, her hands were bound together.
"What is this thing ?", she asked herself.
" Walk ", they said as they aggressively grabbed her shoulders and pushed her forward.
Why were they treating her like that?
They left her room and entered a dimly lit corridor. She tried to look around but there was nothing to look at. Just like her room, there were just walls surrounding them.
She stumbled and almost fell as they pulled her up and didn't say a word just kept pushing her then they reached an intersection and took the left turn.
What was on the right side?
She wanted to know what was there but it was not like she could leave her room anytime she wanted.
She felt like a prisoner and maybe she was she had no way of finding out who she was.
They reached a door and one of the bulky men opened it and waited for her to enter the room and so she did.
Unlike the corridor, they had walked through. This room was different. Covered in white paint it was brightly lit to the point the light was hurting her eyes.
She squinted her eyes trying to adjust to the light and then she started seeing clearly.
The room was filled with equipment that she didn't know their work. She was more disappointed in herself because she couldn't figure anything out.
There was a bed in the middle of the room and there were cuffs on each side which she presumed were the ones that were used to tie her up.
Maybe they were doing something that she didn't like to her body that was why they felt the need of tying her up.
One of the men took off the object that was in her hand and asked her to climb onto the bed and lie on her back.
She hesitated for a second but then decided to do as she was told. Even if she didn't want to lie on the bed they could easily make her lie on it given that they were like thrice her size.
She climbed the bed and lay back as she was told and waited for what was to happen next they both came to her sides and took hold of her hands and she knew what they were about to do next.
"Do you have to cuff me ?", she asked them out loud as she winced in pain as they put the cuffs on her.
No one answered her as they went for her legs next which meant that they had to cuff her to the bed.
After they were done they left the room and she wondered who was going to walk through the door next.
Would he be like the other people she had met or would they at least try to have a conversation with her?
She lay there in silence and she heard a ticking sound behind her and she turned to look at it but was against the idea immediately as it caused her immense pain in her wrists and ankles.
The door they had used to enter the room finally opened and someone entered. Unlike the guys she had met earlier, this one was dressed differently.
She was dressed in red. She looked colorful. The red lipstick on her lips made her stand out as it made her pale skin look like it was the perfect shade.
Her heels clinked against the floor as she walked and stood beside her bed.
"Hey ", she said with a smile on her face.
