'This demons strength is comparable to rank 8 expert, I wonder how powerful the other demon is, who dealt with rank 10 beast in 2 moves, your mission reward will also increase when you kill them but the fight ahead of you is going to be a tough one.' Merlin's voice resounded in my head.
"I still regret not able to kill you last time brother and thought I have to live with this regret my whole life but thank you for coming back alive." bamel said eying babel viciously.
"You killing me, a cowardly bastard like you who only know how to backstab others will never be able to defeat me even if you ascend to godhood." bamel gave an angry look to babel than turned to me.
"Who is this clown you have brought with you?" Babel said looking in my direction but I did not think my appearance was that bad.
"He is the guy who will kill the clowns you have brought from outside world." Babel said proudly standing beside me.
"Is that so?" The demon Makia said levitating next to bamel, it sounded little disrespecting to me as he was looking down on me with faint smirk on his lips.
I inspected the physique of the demon who looked like a mixture of human and beast, his height was 8 feet tall and his body and face were that of a human but what distinguished him from humans was his two big horns and creepy mouth.
He was wearing formal attire and on his chest a werewolf badge was engraved, he had a black sword in his hand, which was a beast weapon clearly of high grade and from his whole appearance I could deduce that he was no ordinary demon but had quite the influence in the outside world.
I could still sense a more powerful force observing the situation from inside the castle and it was a good thing that this demon has underestimated me and came alone.
"Just kill them bamel and let's go search for that beast core." The demon eyed us once again and turned around as if he was wasting his time here.
"Yes my l…"
"You haven't found the beast core yet did you, what if I tell you I know where it is?" I said looking at the demon maintaining a grin on my face.
The demon stopped and slowly turned in my direction releasing his killing intent and soul force to suppress me and babel, but it didn't affect us because on both our skins, I have manifested a layer of soul force stronger than the demon's soul force.
"He must be speaking lies my lord don't believe him." bamel shouted in hurried tone but his sister barita cut him in as if to take revenge of his previous statement.
"My lord he is telling the truth, otherwise his artifact which discern truth and lie would have lighted up just now." bamel gave an angry look to barita and then moved his attention toward the fake holy sword in my hand.
"I have six children." The demon spoke in a loud tone so that everyone can hear it and it was a lie, so I made the fake holy sword emit light.
"I have eleven children." The demon spoke once again and this time it was truth, so the sword didn't react.
After that the demon Makia spoke few more statements and once he was satisfied with the ability of the sword, he spoke.
"Its ability certainly seemed to work, what a wonderful artifact you have, it emits light when a person tells lie."
"Where did you find such a fine artifact?" The demon Makia asked but I didn't reply.
"It doesn't matter after I have extracted the information about the beast core from you, I will retrieve it from your corps thus the origin of that sword doesn't matter." The demon said and started to descend on ground.
"Try to touch it and your body will turn to ashes, it is no ordinary sword but a holy sword forged to destroy you filthy demons." I spoke maintaining my signature grin but the demon makia didn't lose his composure.
"We have our own methods of retrieving the sword from you, don't worry." Makia replied.
'Lord do you really know the location of beast core?' babel asked me telepathically.
'No, but I know that you know where the beast core is.' I sent him the message.
'Yes I have a wild guess as to where my father would have hidden it, but it is not yet confirmed.' Babel replied.
'Just pretend that you know the location for now.' I said focusing on the demon in front of me.
"Your control over soul force is better than mine, with such a crude physique I am intrigued how you achieved such a feat, are you a runaway lab rat of Duke Elise, if yes it would be better to take you alive and hand over to her." The demon spoke as he landed on the ground.
"You talk too much." I said as behind the demon other 3 beast descended to the ground.
Bamel was a rank 9 beast and he was helping his other two rank 6 siblings levitate in the air.
"Then let me ask you one last question, will you give me the information about beast core while I am asking nicely, or do I have to torture you." Makia said to me.
"I will give you the information about the location of core but I have one condition." I said standing tall in front of demon.
"And why should I entertain any of your condition?" The demon replied.
"Because it benefit both of us, I can see that you have been bored out of your mind staying in this god forsaken kingdom and you intend to kill that bastard bamel before leaving anyway.
It is all façade leaving 10% of population alive and letting him rule so why not play one little game and I will hand you over the artifact and beast core myself?" I said waving the sword in front of him which wasn't shining.
"Who said I was going to kill them after I have got the beast co…" The demon stopped mid-sentence as the sword in my hand began to shine and he laughed out loud.
"hahhhaahhhaaahhaa… you got me there and you are right, I am fucking bored out of my mind doing this dirty job of finding a single beast core for that bitch demon princess, so what do you suggest?" The demon Makia eyed me amusedly and asked.
"You see this beast behind me, he has only one wish and that is to have a fair duel with his elder brother and kill him, who have framed him and wiped out his whole family."
"Let those two settle their grudge in duel of life and death."
"I will not complain even if my fighter is rank 8 beast, while his opponent is rank 9 beast and you receive the information of beast core and artifact anyway, what do you think?" I asked the demon in amused tone.
Makia looked in the direction of royal palace for a second then turned toward me and said.
"You have half an hour to finish this little game of yours, because if it took more than that, then lord Jabel will come and force everything out of you." The demon said as he turned to face bamel.
"You heard him bamel, get your ass to the dueling ground and fight that asshole brother of yours, you useless piece of shit who can't even find a single beast core." As the demon's true nature got revealed, Makia stopped pretending and cursed bamel and flew toward the dueling ground.
