Killing an ethereal physique ranked demon was not an easy task and I can't reveal my true strength or demon jabel would intervene in our duel thus I slowly matched my strength with demon makia as if the rise in my strength was natural.
His mana reserve even after including his ability to manipulate mana externally was lower than mine.
His demonic physique's attributes like strength, agility and others were far superior when compared to normal humans but they were inferior when compared to my draconic physique.
Using external mana manipulation he had attacked me multiple time with myriad of weapons, his black fire attribute's severity has increased several times by as it was able to endure the heavy rain but using my own ability [Infinite blades] I met his every attack decisively.
His aura attacks were impressive but with the help of Ether sword I endured most of the attacks absorbing the chunk of his aura in the process.
As the attacks of demon Makia were getting repetitive and he had nothing more to offer I decided to end the fight before the other demon Jabel intervenes.
[Lightning Spark]
A fist size 50 lightning sparks left my hands flying aimlessly in the air, it was a phenomena akin to lots of fairies floating in the air but sensing no threat coming from them demon Makia focused his attention on me.
[Lightning Bolts]
Suddenly the sky was filled with thick lightning bolts as tens of lightning bolts fell on the ground at the same time and an overwhelming amount of mana gathered in the sky but both the demons didn't understand my intention for using so many lightning bolts which were ineffective against demon Makia's silver skin.

I detonated all the 50 [Lightning spark] at close intervals and whole kingdom was brightened up with blinding light and at the same time I used the attack [Divine verdict] which I had used to get out of the ruined cave where I had evolved.
Both the demons around me have lost their senses and thus I directed the overcharged [Divine Verdict] spell imbued with 500 fate points on demon makia.
Two golden laser beams fell on the demon Makia but his instinct warned him and he raised both his hand above his head manifesting a thick layer of black flame as shield and covered his body with thick aura to defend from the upcoming attack as the golden laser beams fell directly on him passing through the layer of fire shield as if it was nothing burning demon makia's whole body and creating a crater beneath his feet.
I charged at the same time toward the demon because the spell would only last 5 seconds, arriving in front of him, I imbued all my strength into ether sword and penetrated the chest of demon makia who was defenseless and distracted by my mana spells.
There was a limit to how many fate points can be imbued into a single magic spell or ether sword and thus I was not able to kill makia with a single low level spell.
I could feel the sword going deeper and deeper into the chest of demon Makia but before I could pierce his heart something hit me in the ribs sending me flying as I crashed into the house positioned 100 meter away from me.
The Ether sword was still embedded in the chest of demon makia as his body fell backwards on the ground unconscious because of my sudden attack but he wasn't dead.
I looked at the location from where I had come crashing down and saw other demon standing there examining the body of makia.
He looked at the charred body of makia who has transformed back into his demonic form but his whole body was burnt leaving not a single hair and a bright red sword remained embedded in his chest.
'This feeling of pain, I can never get used to it.' I thought experiencing pain after a very long time which started to diminish as my broken ribs started to heal due to my immortal physique.
I stepped out of the broken rubble and looked in the distance where my eyes met with demon jabel, looked at me interestingly.
"You humans and your cheap tricks." The demon jabel said looking angrily at me because even he didn't know, what happened in those 5 seconds.
I employed [Lightning sparks] before casting [Divine verdict] spell because if the second demon saw the golden lightning attack, he would have intervened before I could deal enough damage to makia.
I also wanted to hide the appearance of spell from everyone otherwise they will know my identity but even then the second demon was able to find and attack me.
"You said you won't intervene?" I said because the demon in front of me was trying to allege my tactics as tricks.
"That is how it should have been, but you exceeded my expectation." Demon jabel said retrieving the Ether sword from chest of makia and evaluating it as his eyes turned red.
The second demon jabel was a 10 feet tall demon with black skin and white eyes without any pupils. He had 4 long curved horns on his head wearing golden robes and a symbol of cross swords engraved on his chest.
I had exhausted nearly 15% of my mana in fight against demon Makia but to take down the demon in front of me, i wasn't sure whether remaining reserve would be enough.
I still couldn't feel any mana coming from his body and his looks woke the feeling of dread in my body which I had felt very few times while training inside the sea of consciousness.
Demon Makia held the Ether sword in his hand but I willed for it to dissolve into sand particles and returned in my hands becoming whole again.
"That is an interesting weapon; I hope it will accept me as his master once I have killed you." The demon jabel spoke.
"I don't think that would happen, I have borrowed it from someone, and once I die, it will return to its original owner." I said because merlin has told me that if I die on this quest to slay gods, all my belongings including my weapons and core will be transferred to him.
I don't mind it because everything I have was given to me by merlin and I would prefer if it returned to him rather taken by someone else.
"That is a pity." The demon jabel said and was about to prepare an attack when he sensed a not so powerful presence approaching our location.
'Lord, please leave from here I will buy you time to escape, you have fulfilled my wish that is all i ne…'
'Idiot, I am just pretending to be weak I can kill him whenever I want, so go and hide faraway and don't get caught by him, becoming their hostage.' I said telepathically glaring at babel.
He stopped in his tracks and started retreating from where he had come as demon Jabel stared at him confusedly.
'Very well my lord, I will be hiding in the north cave from where we have come, please let me know if you need my help.' babel said while retreating.
For your ancestor's sake stop trying to mess with my mission, was the only thought in my mind.
Ignoring the existence of babel, Demon Jabel clenched his fist and something black and ominous started to cover his fist.
'I have a good news and a bad news Eric, what would you like to hear first?' Merlin's voice resounded in my head confusing me.
