Angie's alarm rang, waking her up.
She stretched out her body lazily due to lack of sleep.
She has been thinking through out the entirely night in front of her computer doing her assessment which she couldn't even focus on and keeps making mistakes.
Her aim this morning was to meet with Nancy and hear from her whatever it is she isn't telling her.
Maybe, if she know part of the story it will enable her not give up on Maths.
Someone knocked on her door as she was getting dressed in her dressing room after taking a shower.
"Yes? Come on in", she called.
Dennis entered into her room.
"Where are you?", he asked searching through the room.
"I'm coming", she said.
"Hurry up and come down to prepare breakfast", he said with pride.
"Hey there, I'm not preparing anything today".
"I don't think I heard you right. Dad didn't come home yesterday, you also came late from wherever you went to and didn't prepare anything. I had to eat ketchup and bread, do you want me to repeat it today again?!", he bellowed, angrily.
"Serves you right", she said coming out from the dressing room, all dressed in her school uniform.
"I'm going to report you to dad for staying out late this days. You don't even remember you've got home and a little brother to take care of".
His speech made Angie burst out laughing.
"Say that again", she teased.
"To hell with you!", he exclaimed, fiercely.
"Alright, fine. I'll prepare some meal for you. Is noodles alright?"
"Whatever, I'm not eating junks food again".
"Good, I'll join you down when I'm through", she said arranging her books into her backpack.
"Where did you go to yesterday evening and came back late in the night?", he whispered gently changing the topic.
"What does that have to do with you?", she asked suspiciously.
"I'm looking after your safety", he conveyed.
"Hmm, don't bother, I'm fine and grown enough to take care of myself".
"You don't want to share it with me?".
"No, do you still want to eat?", she asked getting tensed with his questions.
"Of course", he answered proudly.
"I don't think so", she said carrying her backpack and pushed him out to stop him from uttering further questions.
"Angela! You are heartless!", he shouted and ran after her.

Riley entered into his friend's office and met him chatting with his secretary.
He walked quietly to sit on a sofa watching his friend as he question Ben.
They were busy on his laptop.
"Good morning sir", Ben greeted when they noticed his presence.
"How're you, Ben? Long time no see".
"Same here sir".
"How's your health? Hope your boss isn't stressing you out?", Riley teased.
"He... Is...", Ben stammered and look at his boss who gave him a deadly glance, "What I mean is that, he is but it's my duty, I can't complain".
Riley laughed.
"Don't worry, you are welcome to work with me if you want to resign, he's not worthy of your work".
"No sir, I love my work", Ben said rejecting the offer.
"Focus on what you are doing, Ben, mo mistake", Sideon tensed voice came in.
"Yes sir", Ben answered and faced what he was doing.
"Give that boy some space, Sideon. He's yet to marry or don't you need space, Ben?"
"Stop it!", Sideon fired, "He's busy".
"I'll shut my mouth up then", Riley said and whispered clearly enough for them to hear, "Think about it Ben, I'm all available".
Sideon stood up and went over to him.
His friend seem to be a talkative when he got nothing to do.
"You are busy blabbering and saying things that isn't your business", Sideon said and sat in front of him opening a file he picked from the table.
"I'm speaking the truth here, man", Riley uttered with a smile on his face.
"The truth it is", Sideon said and handed the opened file to him. "This contains all the information about the copied files, their hidden place and their password".
Riley read through it calmly, not skipping any important word.
"What about the finance files?".
"I gave them to the vice president".
"Okay, that's save".
"Yeah and I'm giving this to you".
"Me?", Riley asked bewildered.
"Who else can keep it save except you?".
"What made you think I can keep it safe? I've got no underground in my house not even a save in my office".
"You've got your way of doing things. I don't think it's save with me", he said, brought out his cell and went into the phone message to show his friend the message he got yesterday morning.
"Look, this message came through my phone early morning, yesterday".
He then handed the phone to Riley who read through the content.
"Did you trace the number", he asked confused.
"Yes but I don't know, we couldn't find any available information. I was wondering if it could be because of its a private number".
"I don't think so, It either the network isn't available anymore or the sim has been destroyed", Riley explained.
"You have any idea what it means?", Sideon asked solemnly.
"Not yet but my instinct says it from our enemies".
"Yeah, right. That's what I thought", Sideon said gracefully.
He knew he wasn't wrong during his guess
"Those bandit already knew we are hiding the files. They are watching us so close now", Riley relayed.
"I'm through with it sir", Ben said interrupting them.
"Bring the laptop over here", Sideon commanded.
Ben took the laptop and placed it on the table in front of them.
"I'll leave to finish up the remaining work in my office", he said and went ahead to pick up some files.
"When is my meeting with the president?", Sideon asked.
"12pm, sir".
"Get going, I'll call you when I'm ready".
"Okay sir", Ben said and bowed his head before taking his leave.
"Take a look at this DEF new system I created", Sideon said and turned the laptop for his friend to view.
"What for?"
"To hide files on system. I put in a strong security that can't be easily opened and protector from virus".
"Why don't you move the copied files into it?", Riley asked.
"I am planning to invent it before copying those files", Sideon answered resting on the sofa.
"Why then do you make it look like you've completed it?".
"I'm too busy to finish it up. I just updated the virus into it".
"Lazy bone".
"You call me lazy? I don't even sleep for three nights, at least", Sideon bellowed. "Even the president won't give me space".
"Whatever. So you mean I should go with this", Riley asked pointing the files at him.
"I wasn't joking".
"Then you have to call a group of armies to escort me home", Riley said and smirked. "Those bandits might starts following me", he muttered and looked around the office.
"Aren't you an army yourself?"
"Not in this condition".
They both burst out laughing.
"Did you see Maths this morning?" Riley asked.
"I won't be in my office laughing with you if I got a glimpse of him".
"What do you mean? You don't even know if he's doing fine. I'm very sure he's the last thing on your mind".
"See...", Sideon called and pointed at some files on his desk. "Those are his medical reports, I've got no time to check them".
"What a father!".
"You can also do me the favor of being his father".
"Don't tell me you want me to check through those reports too?", Riley asked astonished.
"You're not as busy as I am, are you?"
"What do you mean? Isn't this files a work itself? I need to check it out every one seconds".
"You can also check those ones too", Sideon proposed.
"In your widest dreams".
They chatted for some time before Riley left the office not until he took Maths monthly medical records with him.
Maths POV
I saw her walked passed my car, going into the school.
Somehow, I felt I should go down and apologize to her for yesterday but on another thought, I don't think I need to.
I drove my car into the school parking lot before striding up to my class.
I was walking up the stairs when I saw Shed and Davis waiting at the corridor.
Some students were busy chattering and taking pics with them.
Huff... They always make scenes.
"Why are you guys here?", I asked calmly but still, the students moved away murmuring to each other.
"Hey bro, How're you doing?", Davis asked and gave me a hug.
"I'm good enough", I said and walked into my class, the two following me behind.
"You don't look good today, what's the problem?", Shed asked suspicious.
The boy never gets low rank when watching moods.
"I have a slight headache this morning".
"Are you okay now?", he asked, nervously.
"I'll get better soon, Why are you guys here? Classes will start soon, you guys should get going".
"Don't bother about it, we'll leave when we are ready. We came to check on you, we've not seen you for some days now", Dennis said pretending to care.
"We'll talk about that later at basketball practice. You guys can go now".
"Hope no one is disturbing you?", Shed asked smiling at me.
I furrowed my eyebrow, suspiciously.
Who told him I'm being disturbed? Did he know about the girl?
"Come to think of it", I said and grabbed his uniform by the collar making those watching us, gasped. "Should anyone bother me?", I whispered.
He looked at me, turning his head, he answered, "I.. I don't know what you...", he stammered.
"Oh, right!", I exclaimed, softly, "You don't know what I'm trying to say right? I bet you don't".
"I'm serious I have no idea...".
I caught him shut holding unto the collar more tight.
"Hey man, he was just trying to know if you are in a tight condition, so he could be of help", Davis interrupted with a strain of smile on his lip releasing Shed collar from my hand.
"Really?", I asked while they both nodded.
"Alright", I said and sat upright, resting my head on my chair, "I'll need you guys for something but that will be later when we meet during training. You can now go back to class", I said, closed my eyes and rested my head on my seat so they can leave.
The two brats might know about that girl and didn't say anything to me.
They might have also gotten review from Nancy that I kissed the girl.
Oh, What the fuck!
They won't escape my interrogations.
I'll make sure they pour out to me whatever they know.
That way I could have an idea what that silly girl needs from me since she kept pestering me.
