Angie's POV
After church, I received a message from Nancy.
She told me to get ready before 12 noon, that we'll be visiting the SAH mansion to start our plan.
I became anxious and agitated.
Why won't Nancy stop bothering me with this devilish mission we are about to take.
Oh! I could feel my heart beat racing faster than it should.
Very well, I have no choice than to comply.
It takes a lot of courage for Nancy herself to come up with such ideas.
I can see she's really eager to see Maths become a better person.
At exactly 12:30, Nancy horned her car signifying she was already around.
I rushed downstairs since I was also expecting her arrival.
I entered into the car and we took off.
We got to SAH mansion and the gate was opened almost immediately.
I became nervous, I guess Nancy noticed my reaction and gave me some warming advice before we went in.
"Is he home?", Nancy asked Mrs. Sara who came to welcome us.
"He went out early this morning but promised to be back by noon", the old woman, relayed.
"Alright, we'll wait upstairs for him", Nancy said and took the stairs to his den not after she beckoned at me to follow her.
I couldn't view his den very well the last time I entered.
But now, with my eyes wide opened, I will say his den isn't like what one should be expecting.
It's like I just entered into an amazing paradise.
Everything were sparkling white and gold.
It looks like the king of all kings lives here.
The wall, chairs, tables even the tiles were all made with white and gold.
I wonder how the real King Chamber will be if Maths den can look like this.
The little girl, Julie came running in as if she was being chased by a group of lions.
Nancy went to her and gave her a hug.
"He's coming up", Julie relayed lost of breath which made me also lost balance and the gold carved lion statue I was holding hit the floor.
"Are you okay?", Nancy said as she rushed to where I was.
"Yes, I'm good, just that...", I replied sheepishly.
"Thank God you're not wounded", Nancy uttered.
She then directed me to one of the couch to sit before she went back to the broken statue.
I watched as she gathered the broken glasses together stood up to find something to pack it out when suddenly, she stopped.
I looked up and I saw Maths staring keenly at her.
"What's going on in here?", his deep cool voice came out.
Oh! I ruined everything now.
How could we possibly go on with our plan with this?
The role I was supposed to play was being a proud and arrogant girl and now I was looking all mild and calm.
What am I to do? How can I get everything back in order.
"We, humm...", Nancy stammered, finding nothing to say.
We all stood and watched each other, having nothing to say to ourselves.
Just then, an idea popped into my head.
"Hello, great King!", I greeted amusingly, as they turned their gaze towards.
Oh geez! That weird face was staring deeply into mine.
I took a step forward and moved towards him.
"Nice to meet you once again", I said and stopped few meters away from him, "We came to visit you but I'm so sorry, I broke your carved lion mistakenly".
I watched his facial expression but I couldn't read them.
Still I continued, "I hope you don't mind but don't worry too much, I'll get you a new made just exactly like the broken one", I assured with pride.
I think I played my role perfectly because he just sighed and entered, passing me by.
"Nancy", he called calmly, dropping off his bag and moved to the dinning. "I don't know the reason for your visit but I will love if you and your proud partner kindly leave here because I'm not in the mood to receive any sarcastic visitor and please leave the broken statue alone, I'll get it back to state".
Nancy and I both exchanged glances.
We are doomed was the expression we gave to each other.
How is this going to work out? We need to act fast.
We can't simply leave because we failed the first plan.
I looked at Nancy with pleading eyes for her to come up with something but it seems she was also lost.
She whispered something to Julie and I saw the little girl stride out of the den.
Maths looked back at us and I quickly maintain my stand.
"Do you understand what I just said?", he asked.
"No", I replied, bashful. "I don't think we heard you clearly".
I took some steps to where he was and again I stopped a meter away from him, I might lost words if I get too close.
"The only thing I heard was you referring me as someone who's got pride. Tell me now great Maths", I uttered and placed my both hand on my hips.
"Do you remember I was a proud girl when you kissed me?".
I knew this took him aback because he looked all shocked.
"I don't know what you're talking about", he finally said after a long pause but the words came out with guilty.
He then walked to his room and was about to open up but my words stopped him.
"No you won't until I show you some evidence of mine".
Suddenly, he looked back at me fiercely.
I could sense he was already burning In rage, but who cares?
I cat walked to to him seductively and touch his hand which was on the door lobe but he flinched my hand away while I gave a slight laugh.
"I did not expect you to be this meek seeing the way you kissed me".
Then I whispered close to him, "It was hot".
He threw a threatening glance at me and I became alarmed.
Did I say too much? I don't want to be repulsive.
"We came to visit you to sort things out but it looks like you want your secret to be leaked out", I said to calm the atmosphere and walked to one of the couch to sit.
I looked at Nancy and she gave me a thumbs up.
I guess I did right.
I exhaled calmly in order not to show my weakness.
Then he opened his door and went in.
I could tell from his attitude that he was already tensed.
Anger already grew inside of him.
