"Dad, when will you be back from work again? You came back very late yesterday, now you are leaving very early tomorrow morning," Shed complained as soon as he entered his dad's room.
"I'm sorry son," Riley replied and moved close to him as he rubbed his hand on his hair, roughly.
"It's not about being sorry, dad. It's about you getting yourself busy with so many things that you even forget that in a month, Kate will be home. You haven't even prepared for her flight yet," Shed complained.
"Dad will try his very best to finish everything he's busy with," Riley assured his son.
"You better do, Kate won't love to see you stressing yourself out."
"Alright, alright, I get it daddy's boy."
Ding! The doorbell rang.
"Is anyone visiting?" Shed asked.
"Rose."
"Miss Rose?" Shed Cringed.
"Yes, get the door."
"Oh no, dad! You should have informed me beforehand," Shed uttered bitterly.
"She called a while ago for a visit."
"A while ago? I could have left the house a while ago."
Ding! The bell rang again.
"Go go go, be a good child," Riley said and pushed him out of his room.
Shed stood in front of the big door and dressed properly before opening the door. As he came in contact with Miss Rose, he bowed his head and led her in.
"It's been some time since I came visiting," Miss Rose said gracefully.
"Oh! Ye… Yeah," Shed stammered with a shaky voice.
She looked back at him and adjusted her glasses on her face. "You look nervous, is everything okay?" she asked suspiciously.
"Sure," he answered and faked a smile.
A strain of smile curved on her lip as she moved towards him. Her movements made him scared but he stood still pretending not to care inside of him, he shook like a jellyfish.
"Am I that scary?"Miss Rose asked, jokingly.
"Ye… I mean no."
"Oh!" she mouthed and moved away from him gently, "Where's your dad?"
"You mean?"
"You dad?!" She snapped softly.
"He's upstairs," Shed rushed it out.
"I see."
"I'll go up now to my room."
"Okay."
With swiftness, he rushed to his bedroom and locked himself in. If his dad had told him earlier about her visit, he would have left the house rather than stay in his room like he was being tormented.

Maths woke up feeling a slight headache. Quickly, he stood up and went into his bathroom to have a cold bath. It's Saturday, basketball training will be held. When he finished taking his bath, he came out tied a towel on his waist and moved to his dressing room. He dried his wet hair with a small towel and moved to his wardrobe. He then settled on a pair of white shorts and a grey sweater. He went into his studio to pick up his basketball bag and headed out. He pressed the open button from the car remote and opened the door before entering.
He started on the basketball court and on his way, his mind drifted back to yesterday night and remembered what he did to Angie. How could he be so careless? He thought, wearing a frown on his face. He hopes Angie was also drunk so she won't remember the incident. But, it doesn't seem to him that she was drunk since she slapped him.
"Fuck!", he exclaimed angrily and hit his hand on the steering wheel, hard.
"What got into me? What was I even thinking of kissing her?" he asked himself, aloud. He just hopes she won't create a scene when they meet again. She's too fastidious for his liking. He kept reminiscing over it till he got to the basketball court.
Even during practice time, the incident keeps refreshing in his mind that he couldn't focus well and got scolded for making lots of mistakes. It was a dreadful day for him.

It was an hour before noon when Riley knocked on his son's door after Rose's departure. Shed opened up immediately and ran to the kitchen to get something to eat because he couldn't come down for breakfast when his dad invited him to the dining.
"Is Rose joining us?" He'd asked and received the most frustrating answer.
"Yes, she prepared it herself," Riley answered thinking that he gave a satisfactory answer but he was wrong because his son got angry.
"You screwed things up, dad! Go on with your breakfast!"
Riley followed him behind into the kitchen and watched as he devoured his meal.
"I thought you don't want to eat her food," Riley teased, smiling.
"Not when she's around," Shed answered with a mouthful of food.
"I guess so."
"Oh yeah, right," he mumbled and continued with his food.
"You better get used to her," his father warned.
"Me?" Shed asked, displaying an irritating look, "Never!"
"You will one day, though."
"Till the end time," he muttered.
"Well, I have something to do upstairs and I already booked your sister's flight," Riley relayed and turned away from the kitchen.
"I can't wait to see her," Shed divulged happily and grinned between his teeth.

I watched as Nancy wrote things I was going to do to flirt with the great Maths. I'm a bit scared and confused, what if he treats me harshly in the way he hates girls? Will he comply with all these?
I pray he will because I also want to try to soften his heart. He can't be sober at all times, it's not making sense.
"Take a look at this list, I'm sure this will work out," Nancy said and gave me the jotter she wrote the list on.
I looked at the list, astonished at what was written on it. "Be his chef?!"
"Yes, this will make you closer to him," Nancy answered.
"Will he accept it?"
"You don't have to worry about that, Mrs. Sara will take care of it."
"Hmm…," I muttered and checked through the remaining list.
I read them out amusingly.
"Arrange his bath, clean his den, take care of his cat? He got a cat?" I asked, bewildered.
Nancy nodded, "It will fetch you more bonus."
"Hmm…," I muttered again and continued reading till I got to the last one.
"Hold on a minute, will he allow me to enter his den?" I asked, agitated.
"That's where it comes in," Nancy replied and smirked.
"What comes in?" I asked nervously.
"Accusing him of kissing you," she whispered.
"Woo... you mean I should go to the SAH mansion and accuse him?" I asked again and she nodded. I knew she was up to no good with that grin. "You're something else, Nancy, you're too smart," I complimented.
"You can say that again," she uttered and blushed.
