Chapter 13 - BOUND UP

"How's school today?" Mr Albert asked his daughter, hugging her.

"Hectic," Angie replied tiredly and disengaged from the hug to find the couch to sit on.

"What? Why? Is something wrong? Were you not treated well?" Her father conveyed. He sat down beside her and she placed her head on his shoulder.

"Of course, I was treated well." She answered woefully covering up all his questions.

"But why did you say it was hectic?" He questioned, stroking her black wavy hair.

"That's because I experienced something new from class today." She lamented.

Her father sat comfortably on the bed, "Tell me about me."

She went on to explain every detail to him from the top to the least about what happened a few hours ago in her class.

"Hmm_" He murmured since he was also speechless.

"Perhaps he had his reasons, dad." She concluded and shrugged while he nodded. "I need to shower." I divulged, yawned and stood up.

"You also look sleepy, I've prepared lunch for you guys, eat before you go up."

"Aw… That's so sweet of you, dad." She bellowed and pecked him on his cheek before rushing to the table.

"Davis was just too amusing today. He's got some nerves." She thought as she lay down on her bed. The drama that day in her class played clearly in her head. She turned over and over again on her bed reflecting on it and sleep wasn't going her way. She felt she needed some fresh air and decided to leave her room, down to the garden.

As she walked down the stairs she saw her brother eating and at the same time laughing so hard at what her father's trainee was saying to him. "What a world!".

"Seems like you guys won some jackpot." She mumbled, sounding like she asked a question since she needed an answer. It was unbelievable seeing them together.

"Mr Goodie is giving me details about the Marine officers," Dennis answered almost immediately.

"Hmm_" She muttered.

"Where are you going?" Dennis asked as she strode down the stairs towards the entrance door.

"Continue with your meal and don't stick your nose into what's not your business." She let out, trying to wear her coat. It was cold outside and she could feel it.

"Your food tastes so bad tonight."

He complained harshly and made a sign like he was going to throw up while Usher made a thunderous laugh.

She walked back to them and gave Dennis a hard stroke on his head. "You can get up, go inside the kitchen and prepare for yourself something nice and sweet, ungrateful fellow." She retorted coldly, giving him another tap.

"Ouch! Taste it yourself and see what I'm talking about, gosh you wreck!" He cried out, stood up and hurried out of the sitting room.

"Come back here!" She shouted towards him.

"Fuck off with your food, dummy."

"I hate you!"

"I hate you more!"

"I don't like it when someone distracts me from my teaching." She heard Usher's voice behind me.

Her eyes shifted to the stairs to Usher's face and stared at him for a moment. Then, she remembered he shouldn't be here, it was late at night.

"What the hell are you doing here?" She inquired, angrily.

"You should go inside the kitchen and prepare something nice for the little kid." He teased, ignoring her question as his lip turned into a devilish smirk.

"Hell! He's got to be kidding me!" She yelled inside of her, "Why don't you try it then, I guess my little brother has become your buddy." She proposed, folding her hands over her bosom.

She watched as he stood up and came to stand in front of her, his hands on his waist. She felt a little repulsed.

"Do you mind preparing some for me too?"

"Heavens, Save me!"

She looked at him horribly and scoffed. She has nothing to say to him since that's not the reason for her going down. She hit past him with my shoulder and finally left for the garden to cool myself. Is

Late the same night|

Shed and Davis decided to spend the night at the SAH mansion since their rehearsal took so long before it ended.

They all lay on the floor inside the studio humming to the lyrics of the song.

Maths stopped playing his instrument and announced to them, "Mr Anderson has something to tell you guys."

"Tell us about it."

"I'm busy, I won't be available," Davis grumbled.

"Tomorrow by 4 pm, don't be late." He warned softly, laid his head on the couch he was sitting on and closed his eyes trying to get the sleep he has been wanting for hours.

"Nancy and I have a party to attend".

"I'm coming with you, please". Shed pleaded to Davis.

"When did you start having an interest in parties?" Davis asked, grabbing Shed by his collar and shaking him.

"So I won't have to attend that meeting." Shed whispered, which made Davis let out a loud laugh.

"Davis?" Shed called after a long pause.

"Yes?"

"About the newcomer, what do you think?"

"Newcomer?"

"Yeah, the new girl in class."

"Oh, you mean Angela?" Davis asked and smirked when he remembered Angie's expression the moment he shouted at Miss Rose.

"How come you know her name already?" Shed's eyes popped out of surprise.

"She's pretty, don't forget I love girls like her."

"Pervert."

"Why did you bring up her topic?" Davis asked suspiciously.

"She's_" Shed wanted to say but hesitated.

"Cat got your tongue?" Davis asked, sensing something from his friend.

"Asshole, I was just wondering why she came to New York."

"Hmm, I see. Seems like someone is in love." Davis teased.

"Seems someone got a new catch," Shed muttered.

"Yes, I did. Stay away from her

" Davis warned playfully.

"I never said I was into her."

"I was just saying."

"What location is your party?", Shed asked, changing the topic.

"Coney Island."

"I'm in."

Maths kept quiet the whole time listening to every single thing they were saying. He kept wondering who Angela was and why the two are so much into her. "She will be beautiful." He thought. He would hate her the moment he comes in contact with her. "Tomorrow afternoon by 4 pm, you don't want to miss it." He declared again, making the two jerk out of their thoughts.

He stood up, picked up his musical note and guitar, and placed them where they were meant to be before striding away into his bedroom. Sitting down with the two of them will worsen his problem since he needs to get some rest, that's if he can get some without his nightmares.

"Did you hear that? No party tomorrow."

"Heaven knows what that mentor of his has to say." Shed complained sheepishly.

"Get some sleep man," Davis said and grabbed the pillow on the sofa placing it under his head.

"Is that how you want to sleep?"

"Take the couch." He muttered drifting into sleep.

"I mean, no blanket?"  Shed asked bemused.

"No."

He watched as Davis turned his back on him. For the first time, his friend wants to sleep on the floor not even with a bedsheet to place on the floor or a blanket to cover up his body.

"Then I'll take the couch". Shed whispered happily and slipped himself Into the couch, grabbing a pillow beside him and using the blanket provided to cover up.

Then silence came upon the den once again.
