Ast now is 19 years old. He is athletic with a ripped body, his hairs were completely black, his eyes were blue containing abysmal depth, and his skin was a bit brown. His whole look exudes primal ferocity, like a beast about to pounce.
He wasn't that social and likes to keep to himself, but considers himself a part of his tribe and cares for the juniors of his tribe.
In the orient forest, the chrome clan were not the only clan/tribe. With the advent of time, many tribes had adapted to a symbiotic form of relationship.
Nearest to the Chrome tribe was a tribe of forest elves. Although elves were a prideful bunch with the horrors of the time, this particular tribe's views have changed and were now very close to the chrome tribe.
Ast has a friend in the forest elves her name is Alena. Alena was a prodigy of the FERO TRIBE, she was currently 18 years old but had her talent awakened when she was 15. She had awakened an extremely rare S-grade talent of Archery.
Ast had a quite peculiarity in his personality, he was well accepted as an anti-social by almost everyone who knew him and most of the time, Ast would be quiet and calculations if someone very cunning, but Ast did not care for social pretences whatsoever and at times he would just lose his shit completely.
So people close to him would try not to anger him but most of the people in his tribe would outright keep their distance from him. But even Ast had a soft point, he was caring and protective of the children of his tribe or any child in general.
Mostly Ast liked to either train with his tribe seniors or would go exploring the forest with his friend Alena. But today was a special day for him. Today was the annual event where the temple assigned by the Universal system helps people awaken their talent.
Each year this event was conducted on the same date and anyone below the age of 20 can participate. Most of the children of Ast's age had their talent already awakened. Everyone didn't need to awaken their talent at any given point in time(no fixed age) but almost everyone awakens their talent before the age of 20. It was also a known fact that the earlier the person awakens their talent, the higher the grade. But Ast had never participated before.
Ast parents both had the same talent luck extraction. This was a very peculiar talent. Each talent with time and proper growth would manifest skills. These skills were truly magical, it allows anyone to do things. Things that they might have never even practised once in their life but with these skills, it felt like an instinct.
Ast's parents were very secretive about their skills and even Ast was not privy to the specifics of their skills. They told Ast that luck extraction allows them to steal others' luck and store it. But that luck had to be used all at once for a particular moment. This stored luck cannot be used permanently or continuously. There was a huge cooldown associated with each of their skills.
Before passing away his parents gave him a ruby stone and made him promise that he would only awaken his talent when he was 19 years old and would crush this ruby at the time of his awakening.
Ast trusted them and believed that this had something to do with luck, which would enable him to awaken a great talent.
Talents in the world were divided into grades, the lowest being F and the highest known talent to the public was S grade. Even if someone awakens a higher grade of talent, they would never share this info with the public.
At the time of awakening, everyone's talent's name would be announced but their talent's grade was hidden.
