What Ast needed now was some great talent to copy, he was not going to make any talent permanent for the time being.
There were some pros and cons associated with this. Ast wanted to only make ss grade talent permanent and he was adamant about this. While ss grade talent would be better, finding them would take more time and preparation due to which he would not be able to grow much, as nurturing ss grade talent would require time.
And whenever he would replace any temporary talent all his progress would vanish away with the talent itself.
Any talent has a level associated with it. In the same way, each skill also has levels. With each level, skills would become more powerful and domineering.
(
NOTE: Here is an example::
Flame control lvl5 :
1. fireball lvl7
2. fire arrow lvl3
These two are the skills obtained from the talent in ascending order of their appearance(chronologically)
)
Ast had to adapt and find a balance among all this but also look for ways to free himself and his tribe from the curse.
Ast decided that he need information on talents and the best experts that were available right now. Slowly he was also forming a plan to best utilise his overpowered talent.
Orient forest was very huge and the chrome tribe lived near the periphery of the middle region of the forest. In the outer periphery of the forest, there was an outpost of the adventure guild, which was just a small representative of the Adventure guild which was a huge name throughout the universe.
Ast's identity was a bit special because he belonged to the chrome clan, which were cursed and the adventure guild does not allow such a person to become an adventurer. If someone was cursed and lied about this, it was considered a serious offence. Except for some peculiar conditions, it was relatively easy to become an adventurer, because for the guild the more the merrier.
Ast entered the adventure guild and registered using the fake name of Sam. Ast knew he could get into some serious trouble but he didn't care. He was not going to play by the rules of some self-righteous organisation anyways.
After registering Ast went directly to access the library of the guild. He read about various talents and adventurers who were active in orient forests.
Ast spends his week reading and gathering data. He concluded that there were two ways to obtain talent. First was to go after some promising adventurers, in this way he would avoid confronting any powerful awakened and can obtain talent easily.
Another way was to apply for a job in a transit terminal on the periphery of Orient forest, this was a kind of in-between place where any VIP of adventure guild would come if they were passing by this area. It was a super luxurious area built to cater to the needs of these VIPs.
Currently, Ast could copy talent from about 50m distance. After some consideration, Ast applied for the job at the transit terminal but while that was in process, he joined a team of adventurers.
