Chereads / I Am Not A Villain / Chapter 20 - Unknown

Chapter 20 - Unknown

Standing outside, Vin looked at his dorm's window, it was locked and sealed shut.

"Whoa, I really didn't remember closing this window."

Shutting his eyes, he increased his stamina, enabling him to race on the wall, up high.

Surely, he would have just been up there, by flying, but he had to practice some skills and test Dravil's capability in vertical running.

[Whoa! This is awesome.]

Vin smiled, rushing with a speed he never knew existed, while climbing more than three hundred floors high.

Upon getting to his dorm's window, he opened a portal, allowing him to easily slip into his room with style.

"Yeah-"

"Where have you been?" A sudden question made him flinch, almost falling backwards.

"Mr Snow-"

"Don't 'Mr Snow' me, answer my question!" Snow said, sitting down in a corner.

"Well, I went berry plucking," Vin nervously smiled.

"In the middle of the night?"

"Well-...," Vin sighted the book of the damned under his bed, beside where snow sat down.

[Damnit! The book is out! Foolish me! I forgot to hide the book!.]

With both hands at his back, Vin made sure his eye contact was on Snow.

"Well…after berry picking, I went to actually see my long lost friend who fell ill recently and needed my help with some certain things, since there wasn't anyone around." Vin pushed the book away from the sight.

[Close call]

"So, where are the Berries?"

"Uh?"

"The berries you went picking, where are they?"

"That's a good question. I saw an old woman on my way back, and I gave it to her, because I'm good and she was hungry" Vin smiled, when he saw the same Black cat which attacked him earlier, elegantly walking under his bed.

[What the heck is that possessed cat doing in my room?]

"Interesting," Snow Understandingly nodded, "I wish your long lost friend good health!."

"Yeah me too!" Vin rushed to drag the cat from under his bed, but when he saw the cat's paw on the book, he angrily pushed it back.

"I came here to give you a letter a raven dropped behind"

"Is that so?" Vin battled the cat under his bed, trying to release its paws from the book.

[I never knew cats has this amount strength]

"Vin, are you listening to me?" Snow asked, seeing the situation at hand.

"Yes Mr Snow… Just a moment please."

Saying this, He crawled under the bed, coming in contact with the cat.

"Listen to me, you possessed Demon cat!" Whispered Vin, "I'm giving you one last chance to give up and get out of my room instantly!."

Meowing, the cat spoke in its own language and attitude, a "No".

"Fine, have it your way!" Vin dropped his hood, allowing the cat to look into his deep red crimson eyes.

The cat's blood went cold as it ran away in fear.

Meanwhile, Snow's eyes went wide open, as he felt the aura emitting in the air.

Dark and intimidating.

Vin quickly wore the hood back, covering every evidence of darkness.

Coming out from under the bed, Vin saw Snow's face. It had a traumatic look, enough to make one curious.

"Mr Snow?"

He didn't move, his eyes away from reality.

"Snowrando Eldon!!!" Vin called his full name out loud, enough to break him from the trance.

It worked.

Snow looked at Vin with raised brows, slight anger and a suspicious glare, "How did you know my full name?"

"I read the big book of rules and it mentioned your name. I swear it wasn't a means of disrespect" Vin tried making him not to get annoyed.

"I wasn't angry Vin, just a flashback to the past and your words mixing with those memories." Snow didn't say another word, instead, he handed Vin the letter and walked away with the highest level of suspicion and worry.

Sitting on his bed, Vin sucked in a rush of air. He didn't know how he called Snow's name, but there was a flash of anger in his eyes.

Bringing the book out, he clutched his hands together, sending the book away into a safer place.

"That would keep that book out for some time. Now, for the letter."

Carefully opening the red envelope and avoiding the seal, he pulled out a neatly folded golden paper which had an elegant style.

"Fancy!."

Opening this, his slight smile went to a frown.

The letter wrote;

"Lovely it is writing to all these while my Lord after a thousand years of silence.

"From the depths of hell, I knew you would emerge, to bring the world to their knees. Although the light holds a stand.

"Surely, I am alive and would offer you, My lord, an invitation. Yes, there have been lots from those low lives, but personally, I invite you to my mansion, dark as your graven heart.

"I have seen your depression and the power of your loneliness, a short time not too long and worthy of your style.

"If your time permits our stay, then so be it, there would be screams in the darkness and a flower whose petals shall be torn off.

"Any time would be appreciated, I'm lonely, sure and unoccupied, so indecency won't hold me back.

"I leave you my lord, to your heart desires, but a face to face seeing with an upper ranked Demon lord won't hurt My friend.

"Till the light goes down, Alucus.

"YOU MUST COME LORD DRAVIL TOMORROW!."

Vin's hands trembled as he looked at the words written.

One, it was written smoothly in an odd ancient language.

Two, the letters were written in blood.

"Alucus? Who the heck is Alucus?," Vin stood up, letting the letter fall to the ground, "My head can't just-"

Vin suddenly went shut when he saw a memory flash before his eyes.

A man, wicked and heartless more than Dravil himself. His chisel facial features and a cold glare made him more scary.

On his long flowing black hair, a hairpin he placed, having lost souls of mages he had conquered, trapped and tortured.

"Oh no!" Vin lamented, "Who is this Alucus? And why must I visit him tomorrow?."
