Chapter 12 - CHAPTER 12: She's not my family

Louis would remember when Al was a little boy, he used to be the most happiest and adorable boy in the world until the tragedy happened, and ever since that day his son was never the same. He was not even given the chance to choose.

Then when he had no one in his life it was Al that stated him and made him strong. Louis loves his son no matter what others may say. And he knew that somewhere in him is that little boy that stood strong no matter what the world throws at him.

' ooh, I hope that day won't come where I will need to break his face to wipe that smirk off.' Al thought.

"Sit somewhere son." Louis chuckled. Al sat in one of the chairs and got ready to eat when Jules asked...

"Won't we pray before we eat?"

"No, we don't do that here," Al replied coldly and began to eat when his dad stopped him.

"Will u comport yourself, son?" Louis scolded Al.

"There is always room for a new family tradition."He said.

"From now onwards we will pray before we eat" he added.

"But da...."

"No buts son. Now Miss. Jules, do you mind praying for us?" Louis asked her.

She delivered the Grace in less the one minute and they all went back to their food quietly. Al could see his biggest nightmare come to pass as he watched them giggle about God- knows what.

And that was how he spent his week.

"So where were they when you were coming," Austin asked.

"There were going for a picnic" Al answered.

"Why didn't they invite you?"Austin asked.

nothing?" Al chuckled

"You know is not doing nothing it is spending time with your family" Austin said

"She is not my family. She's just a guest."Al corrected him.

"As long as she's staying in your house for God knows when you should start considering her as one."Austin teased

"Is not funny," Al said coldly.

"Okay then man, let's have fun," Austin suggested and ordered more drinks for them.

***After two hours of drinking and chatting***

"It's quite late we have to go," Austin said as he looked at his watch.

"Man….. it's now 8 pm. We've been here for less than 3 hours do you think your wife misses you that much already."  Al teased.

"I have to go, dude I have a pregnant wife to take care of," Austin said as he took on his jacket and stood up.

"Are you complaining?" Al teased.

"You idiot. Am not complaining about anything. I love my wife and will constantly

take good care of her" Austin scowled.

"Get up let's go." He ordered, pulled him off the chair, and dragged him to the parking lot.

"Should I drive you home?" Austin offered when they got to the parking lot.

"I can drive myself home."Al smiled.

"Says the person who knocked down some on some weeks back. Am beginning to wonder how you got your driver's license." Austin teased.

"It was an accident." Al fumed.

"Okay then. When you manage to get home in peace don't forget to give me a call."Austin

said.

"I will do that.....don't worry."Al patted his back as he made his way to his car and drove off.
