Chapter 6 - I am the dark dragon?

Drake stared with a smile on his face at Simon, who reluctantly agreed to sell the fire-imbued clothes, despite knowing that Drake was immune to fire. The old dwarf wasn't sure how strong his immunity was and if it would protect Drake from armour's side effects for long. However, this might be his only chance to sell those clothes, so he nodded and said the price. "One gold, please!"

When Drake heard the price, he almost choked. However, he was not sure what the price range of clothes in this world was, so he gave him a slight nod and the only gold coin he had.

"Oh? You actually have a gold coin?" Simon looked surprised for a few seconds before packing Drake's new clothes into the storage bag and handing it to Drake. "Storage bag is on the house, haha!"

When Drake looked around, he noticed that everyone was staring at him. "Did I do something wrong?" he wondered as he picked up the bag. Suddenly, he heard a system's notification ping.

[People are surprised that the person just gave away a storage bag. A single ten square meters storage bag costs about one gold. While he gave you a storage bag with five square meters.]

"Oh." Drake didn't know what to feel about it, but since the bag was free, he would take it. "Thank you!"

Simon smiled. "No problem! Now go home, young ones!"

After saying goodbye, Drake left the shop with the backpack. He spent the rest of the day exploring the town and found the clothing store. But realised that the clothes might be cheaper. However, they would have made him look like a villager. So he sighed in relief that he had bought the clothes in the guild. After the sun started to set, he returned to the inn, grabbed some food and slept.

When he fell asleep, he opened his eyes and saw Lux staring at him from her throne. She smiled and waved his hand, greeting him. "Hey!"

"...What the hell?" Drake questioned. "Am I going to end up here every time I go to sleep?"

Lux tilted her head curiously. "Maybe... Are you not enjoying your stay here?"

Drake rolled his eyes at Lux's assumption. "I would enjoy it more by actually taking a nap."

Lux laughed happily. "Well, dragons don't feel mental fatigue. So while your physical body is resting, your astral form can enjoy my company!" she chirped excitedly.

"Astral form...?" Drake asked.

"Yes! This is an astral plane!" Lux replied enthusiastically.

"...I see," Drake muttered. He decided to ask about the library as well. "So, was the forbidden library in the astral plane as well?"

Lux thought about it for one moment before shaking her head. "Not exactly... The library itself is inside your spirit. That's why you are the only one who can get there through using the gates of the forbidden library." Then Lux added, "Though I can't help feeling a little envious because all the books in the library are extremely knowledgable. Not to mention the items and weapons stored in it."

"Weapons and Items? Could you tell me how to find them?" Drake asked eagerly. Although he already found the book from which he got the system of a Dragon Lord, if he could find the items without the help of the system, it would be an excellent loophole! Or so he thought.

Lux shook her head again. "I can't. I have never been in the library myself," she stood up and pointed her finger at Drake. "you are the sole owner of the forbidden library!"

"...Me?" Drake blinked confusedly. "I am a guy summoned from a world with no magic!"

Lux giggled mischievously. "That is true. However, you are the reincarnation of the forbidden library's creator, the dark dragon." Lux smiled softly, "Yes, you were reborn on earth, which suppressed your powers, but I assume your past self foresaw that I would search for you, so he added something in a library that would help you grow in strength and knowledge. Rapidly."

"The power-up system..." Drake mumbled quietly as his brain started to work. "I am the dark dragon..."

"Indeed!" Lux squealed. She flew toward Drake and put her face close to his.

"Close!" Drake thought as he blushed embarrassedly and scratched the back of his head.

"I want to know you better," Lux suddenly grabbed Drake's hands and held them tightly. Her grip almost hurt as she tried hard to squeeze her claws inside Drake's skin. "You must tell me more about yourself..." her eyes sparkled as if she was a fan girl meeting her idol for the first time.

Drake gulped, looking away nervously. "Alright," he said as he gently pried the claws off his arms. "But promise me that you won't hurt me anymore?"

"Huh?" the she noticed that her nails were bloody, and Drake's arm was bleeding. "Sorry!" she became flustered.

"So, do you promise?" Drake asked again.

"I promise," Lux answered, immediately releasing her grip and giving Drake a bright smile. "You'll be safe with me."

"...Alright then," Drake nodded slowly. "Where should we begin?"

"Well, you seem to like reading, right?" Lux raised her eyebrows slightly. "Would you mind telling me more about it? The books of your world." she could barely contain her excitement, then realised it would be more comfortable to talk elsewhere, so she decided to take him to the dining hall. "Oh, wait, let's go and have a seat and maybe a drink. Or ten drinks..." she grabbed his hand again and pulled him towards the dining hall.

When the two of them sat near a highly long table filled with exotic food and many colourful drinks, Drake sighed deeply and decided that starting his life story might be easier if he drank a lot of alcohol. He took a sip of a red liquid and relaxed. He told her everything he had experienced in the modern world, everything about computers and the internet, how you could read books on the internet and speak with strangers on the opposite side of the world.

He talked for several hours while Lux sat beside him silently, listening carefully to everything he was saying and nodding occasionally. When the sun started setting outside, she leaned closer to Drake and whispered something, but it was time for Drake's physical body to wake up, and he vanished from her sight.

"Oh..." she exclaimed, disappointed that their meeting ended so fast. However, she knew that she would meet him again soon, so her mood instantly lifted, and she sat next to the dining hall window. "See you later, my lord!~"

As expected, Drake woke up in his bed. It was morning, and he was quickly dressed in his new clothes. He rushed out of the inn without even eating, so he wouldn't be late for an adventurer's exam.
