Chapter 12 - Strange human

After paying the 50 points, he was led to a room, or should I say, a locker room. Different lockers could be seen arranged in an orderly manner.

He could see both male and female fighters who had ripped v-cut abs.

The females looked more like men, with visible muscles everywhere. Compared to everyone here, he was the least in terms of muscles.

He caught sight of a figure who had a similar build to him. The figure sat at the end of the broad locker room. Judging by his outfit, Ethan already knew the latter was a guest, just like him.

The organiser in charge of the locker room led him to a locker with a guest inscribed on it. He connected the dots: the guest locker room is for those who just want to participate for a night. That explains why the other fighters seem huge and bulky. " They are probably fighters who have been contracted to this fighting club," Ethan thought inwardly.

He opened the metal locker and saw fighting attire neatly arranged. Surprisingly, there were only shorts and pants. Ethan swept his gaze around the room and noticed they were all bare chests. Only the ladies wore tops holding their bosoms up, but still, it was mostly flat due to their choice of profession.

"Come to think of it, why are the males and females sharing the same locker room?" Shouldn't the organisers at least separate them? "Maybe they probably don't have enough space," Ethan tried to think.

He looked around and sighed. "There is no way I can strip privately here."

He started stripping off his clothes one by one. He soon halted when he noticed everybody staring at him, or precisely, his tattoo.

Everybody inside the room was captivated by the large, beautiful red dragon tattoo on Ethan's back. Although there were people with tattoos, none of them could match Ethan's. One guy even had tattoos all over his body, making him look like a freak who is about to star in a horror movie.

"Hey, where did you get your tattoo?" a pretty girl with a ponytail asked. His back was currently facing her, but that was not the problem here. He was currently in his underwear. "Gosh, can't these people respect a person's privacy? I know it's one room, but still, a personal space won't cost much, "Ethan thought.

He turned around and answered, "It was drawn by a friend."

The lady subsicously gulped. His body was not that muscular compared to some, but his muscles were slim and beautiful. She slowly raised her eyes and met his golden pair.

"Hello," he said. This was the third time Ethan had said hello. She finally came back to her senses; a visible blush could be seen on her face. Ethan noticed the girl was different from the rest. Maybe she was just a guest like him. The girl stiffly stretched out her hand when she noticed how awkward the atmosphere has become "Layla," she said.

"Ethan," he said, accepting the handshake.

"OK, see you around," she said stiffly, forgotten why she had approached him.

After the awkward conversation he had, he proceeded to put on black joggers. The reason he chose this outfit was to allow him to move freely when fighting. He wouldn't want to be restricted by his pants, and he also knew that moving freely when fighting was a huge advantage. He stretched a little to wake all his sleeping muscles.

Considering the registration was late, he had to wait a few more hours.

After a few more matches, it was finally his turn. He walked in toward the fighting cage. An official disconnected the electricity, allowing him to pass freely. He stood confidently, waiting for his opponent.

"Oh sh*t, I forgot to ask about my opponent," Ethan said.

After some time, his opponent finally walked in. He was surprised that his opponent was the same isolated guy in the locker room. The young man was almost matched with Ethan in terms of body build and attractiveness, and they were all standing at 6'2.

The two were able to stare eye to eye. Ethan noticed the latter's strangely pale skin.

The bell soon rang, indicating the start of the match. Ethan quickly went on the offensive after hearing the bell.

He was hoping to catch his opponent off-guard. Ethan threw a punch to gauge his opponent's strength. However, the pale-skinned boy ducked, evading the attack completely. He still made another punch, yet it was still the same outcome.

Ethan knew his opponent was experienced. Just the way the latter was casually dogging his attack proved his point. Ethan still didn't give up as he made a series of attacks on the pale boy, but the latter avoided them all.

He was starting to get frustrated, but he recalled Rowena's words. He knew if he got angry, it would cloud his judgment.

Ethan jumped to his feet and swung his foot at his opponent's jaw, but he stepped back to avoid the kick.

"He seems fast," Ethan noted.

And, to be honest, the pale-skinned boy appears to be unusually fast.

This time around, Ethan used the popular trick. He made a simple shoulder feint and sent an outward punch to his opponent. The punch connected with the pale-skinned boy. Seeing this, Ethan moved forward and swung his legs, going for a kick.

However, the pale-skinned boy pushed his legs away before Ethan could take a step.

"He's a brute," Ethan said. The force his opponent used now was so strong. If he hadn't gained balance in time, he would have crashed into the electric cage, and Ethan honestly wouldn't want to think of the next scenario.

Ethan soon saw a kick coming toward his face. He quickly made an x shape with his hand, trying to block the kick, but still, the kick made him move back a few steps.

The organisers didn't allow the usage of abilities. That is why no one used their abilities in the previous matches. Ethan rained insults on the person who had made these rules. He knew his opponent was using an ability, but he couldn't prove it.

Ethan was currently on the defensive. Several kicks were sent out without a breather by the pale-skinned boy.

Ethan blocked his attacks with his hands. He could feel his hands gradually becoming sore. "Ah! Are all humans this strong? " Ethan was confused. He had previously believed that humans were not that strong, but this human... he trailed off as his eyes widened.

" Wait, did his eyes just turned red?"
