One thing Ethan noticed is that the robot acted like it had emotions of its own. He came up with this speculation after watching the previous assessment.
After seeing the sudden attack, he knew his theory was not farfetched. Ethan did a backward flip when he saw the laser beams, causing them to miss him completely.
The spot where the laser hit, surprisingly, caught on fire.
"What the heck! These lasers were not this strong, so what just happened? " Ethan caused
He had overheard the students, who had taken the assessment first, mention that the laser just stung a bit, but this... if he hadn't avoided the lasers, he was sure he would have been injured badly.
Whoever is in charge of these bots has decided to mess with him, and he won't let it slide.
Raising his hands again, he made several flame bullets from the aftermath of the previous laser strike, and he hauled them towards the flying bots.
One of the bots was about to shoot another laser beam again, but unfortunately, the flame bullets hit the red spot, where the laser was building up again, and it exploded.
Similar explosions occurred with the other boys as well. There were about two robots left hovering in the air.
Ethan quickly dashed at them. He ran from side to side, avoiding all the lasers being shot at him.
When he was close enough, he grabbed the two bots and smashed them together, making them explode. Before he smashed them together, he had already overheated his hands with his flames, which made it a lot easier for the robots to explode.
His total time spent was 2 minutes and 50 seconds on the dot.
At the same time, inside the control center,
"That's another ace we got there," the cloaked man, who had been watching the assessment this whole time, smiled. "Let's see how he will fare in the academy."
The trio came back to their dorm room after a hectic day.
After having their shower, they all went to the canteen area.
Reaching the canteen, they could see several students already seated and gobbling their food.
The canteen was shaped like a square and it also had several metal tables with two seats on each side, and, of course, the walls were grey.
After grabbing their food, they sat at a table. Looking around, Ethan soon noticed that the canteen was split in two. The ones with higher ability or power rank sat on the right side, while those with lower levels sat on the left.
Ethan sighed, "They have already made rules for themselves."
Looking at where they were seated, he noticed that they were sitting in the midst of the lower levels, but they didn't care.
Then, his gaze finally landed on Helena, who was far away from the rest. She seemed lonely and bored at the same time.
"Guys, excuse me," Ethan said and left.
" Hey, are you OK?" Helen suddenly heard a voice behind her. She titled her head and saw Ethan.
"Am ok," she said with a smile.
Ethan noticed her forced smile, and he said, "You don't need to pretend. I know it's hard for you to socialize with people, but you should try sometimes, and maybe you will make new friends. " Ethan said in a soft tone and continued, "If you keep on isolating yourself from everyone, you might die of depression one day."
"OK, with that said, why don't you join us over there?" Ethan suggested, pointing to their table.
"No, I am, actually, OK here," Helen said after looking at the table, where she could see Noah and Ileus already seated.
"I insist," Ethan said with a serious face.
After biting her lips for a while, she finally said, "OK if you insist."
Reaching the table, Ethan introduced Helen.
"Hi," Helena said shyly.
"Is she your girlfriend?" As usual, Noah, the talkative, asked. "I never knew you had a girlfriend."
Of course, you don't know me.' Ethan wanted to say it aloud. "No, she is just a friend," Ethan said.
"Oh, she's your friend who is a girl, so she is your girlfriend," Noah teased.
"Whatever. It doesn't matter how you want to think about it," Ethan said and pulled out a chair for Helen.
Helen's face was now a bit rosy. She was being talked about in her presence. Although she was happy he, at least, called her a friend.
During their meal, it was one person doing all the talking, and, of course, it was Noah.
The rest just listened to his rambling.
Ethan was a bit attentive. After all, he needed info about Earth and he had the right person for that, so without stressing himself, he just sat there and listened.
Helen was a bit stiff. Maybe it's because she was sitting in an all-boys seat.
Ileus was also paying attention, as he needed information as well.
After their meal, all the students returned to their respective dorm rooms.
After some time, Ethan stepped out of his room again.
After seeing what Noah did in the assessment, he knew he had to train harder because it seemed like the Draconian Empire had underestimated the humans a lot. And thinking about those pure-blood families made him nervous. According to the people of this world, the purebloods seemed to have abnormal powers before the whole discovery of the beast's crystals. and coupled with the fact that the human race had multiple abilities, just increased his burden.
Now he wanted to ask those brothers of his, "who said Earth is easier." He knew that climbing to the top would be very hectic.
He walked through the academy, which had multiple cameras that seemed like they were following his every step.
He finally stopped at a huge metal door with "Training Room 1" inscribed on it.
"If my guess is right, this should be the training room," Ethan said while looking at his handband, which indicated an arrow pointing to the door.
The handband also has an inbuilt feature, which allows the students to navigate the huge academy building easily.
"I guess if I want to become stronger, then I need to train harder." Ethan pushed the door open and walked in.
