When Ethan returned to his dorm room yesterday, he found no one there, so he went straight to his bunk and laid down to relax his muscles, but alas, he fell asleep.
When he awoke, it was the next day; the continuous ringing of the loud alarm made him jump out of bed and get ready. When he got to the bathroom door, he opened it and walked inside. After watching his face, he approached the only shower room inside their room. Ethan felt the military did not try in this aspect. I mean, why would they make 3 people stay in one room and, worst of all, only one bathroom. However, he didn't complain much, as he wasn't the only person experiencing the same thing. When he entered the bathroom, he knew someone was inside; the soapy scent coming out of the bathroom proved that. He proceeded to knock on the shower room door, but his hands stopped mid-air, very close to the door; he heard a wired song coming out of the bathroom, and it seemed like the singer was dancing as well. From the voice, Ethan knew it was Noah.
Shake that booty. Shake it. Shake it, shake it. Shake that booty. Shake it. Shake it. Shake it.
Hearing the wired song and the footsteps, Ethan hoped he was not dancing because it would look wired if he was dancing to the song he was singing. Ethan knew that most people believe they have talents when they are in the shower, and he knew this was one of those times. He wanted to let him live his delusion, but he couldn't, as an announcement resounded. " All students have 30 minutes to get to the training ground," the announcer's voice rang in all the dorm rooms.
Hearing the announcement, he knocked and said, "I hope you know it's only one shower room we have, right?"
Noah paused his dance; he was in an awkward position, and with an embarrassed face he said, "I am coming! I mean, I am coming out of the door! "
Ethan faced palm himself; he wanted to scream, I never misunderstood you, but then a thought came to his mind, "is he..."
Less than a second later, Noah came out.
After seeing Noah, Ethan frowned and said, "So you were already done?"
"Yeah, man, I was so caught up in the music that I forgot we were three," Noah said, embarrassed. Then he added, "Have you seen Ileus?"
"No, I haven't. Why do you ask?" Ethan asked.
" He didn't come to the dorm room last night, or is it me that didn't notice him?" Noah contemplated.
"Maybe he is already on the training ground," Ethan said as he rushed inside the shower room, slamming the door behind him.
After having his bath, he came out and saw a folded black uniform kept neatly on his bed. When he woke up this morning, he didn't notice it, but when he saw Noah putting on his own, he put on his own too.
The uniform was stretchy and had the military logo on it; he was about to ask Noah about the uniform. However, an announcement resounded again, "You have 2 minutes; if you exceed this limit, you shall be punished according to the military rule."
Hearing the announcement, they both looked at each other before dashing out of the room.
One minute and some seconds later, they arrived at the familiar field where the assessment took place.
They both quickly joined the line and stood upright. Unlucky students who came late were told to perform 500 push-ups; if it was from the old era, it would have been tiresome to do the push-ups, but now with abilities, they have enhanced strength, stamina, and agility, so it was possible. However, it was not easy either.
After that little commotion, the instructor, a middle-aged man with a skinny frame, walked to the front; then he told the students to sing the national anthem.
After the discovery of crystal, Earth's governing authority was handed to the military. The normal civilian leaders were corrupt, and they engaged in several illegal businesses and inhuman activities just to keep their position; they were the epitome of selfishness, so the public held a referendum and voted out the democratic government and voted in the military, allowing the military to rule to this day.
Although the military was not entirely pure, they still had the world at heart, so the public supported them, unlike the selfish politicians.
A tragic disaster caused the Earth's population to decline as a result of some failed experiments.
In the first years after the discovery of the beast crystals, human scientists tried to experiment with different things on the beast crystal, and by accident, an explosion occurred in one of the labs; it resulted in the deaths of over a billion people, and it also caused many cities to become barren land.
furthermore, it also turned the earth's largest desert into an ocean; since then, they carried out their experiments courteously.
At first, the world leaders wanted to stop the experiment entirely because of the significant decrease in the human population; however, the scientists finally made a breakthrough in their experiments, and soon, they discovered the first ability.
Furthermore, due to the explosion and other factors, the military came up with the idea of merging all the countries into one, and they made all the remaining countries into regions with a high-ranking general as the head of state, and all of them reported to the grand commander, the highest authority and also the world leader.
Additionally, they made new rules, a new constitution, new punishment methods, and a new anthem that is used all over the world.
The military didn't use force as many expected; instead, they acted more civilized.
…
After the world anthem, the instructor cleared his throat, and with a stern expression, he said, "Your first exercise for this morning will be a race; your aim should be the Finnish line because it would come with some perks and benefits."
If you make it to the top 20, you would unlock some special privileges; these privileges would be graded based on your position in the race; and also, the race would be held once a week for all students, but if you miss it, let me say you don't want to know. "
After the instructor gave his instructions, Ethan saw the crowd parting for a group of people. They all had their heads held high with an arrogant gaze; they looked at the other students as if they were trash.
Seeing their display, Ethan couldn't help asking, "Who are they?"
With a calm and collected look, Noah answered, "They are pure-bloods."
