Ethan initially believed that abilities could not be used because of the way the arena was constructed.
This made him use combat, which he was not entirely good at.
After hearing what the latter said, Ethan made flames which expanded slowly from his shoulder to his hands, and his hands became coated with flames, making him appear like a hand of flame.
"Come on, let's do this!" Ethan ran forward, and he threw a fist.
Seeing the sudden blow, Blocky tried shielding his face. However, instead of the punch colliding with his face, he felt a kick on his stomach, and Blocky was sent flying out of the ring. But before anyone could see, Blocky slid in between the ropes, and he was now standing again.
Ethan didn't give Blocky breathing space as he made several punches with his hands coated in flames, and it resulted in Blocky getting hit several times, making him continually crash to the ground.
Gritting his teeth, Blocky hardened the metal on his hand even more and sent out a punch, making Ethan take a step back from the punch.
After the punch from Blocky, Ethan closed the gap again, and he sent a dropkick, making Blocky almost fall out of the ring, but, thankfully, he held the ring rope, supporting himself.
"Ah..." Blocky clenched his teeth together, and he held the rope and pulled himself up.
"He is much stronger than I expected, but not enough to entirely defeat me. I still have one more trick," Blocky said, and he clasped his hands together. Then, hard liquid metal started creeping from his legs. It moved at a slow pace and soon reached his stomach and extended upward until it covered his hands and then his neck, leaving only his face.
After the completion of the transformation, Blocky now looked like a robot with a sturdy black exterior.
"Now let's get serious," Blocky said, clasping his hands together, and he charged at Ethan.
Seeing this, Ethan quickly leaped to the side, but before he could gain his balance, another punch came. Seeing the punch, he twisted himself backward and used his hands to support himself from falling.
Ethan could tell the punch carried force because he felt the breeze on his face.
After getting a safe distance from Blocky, he made a huge fireball and hauled it at Blocky.
"Fuck! How on Earth is my metal melting?" Blocky thought while shielding himself with his hands.
The flame grew hotter, making the rate at which Blocky's hands were melting accelerate, and it became more intense.
" I can't keep up with this!" Blocky shouted and jumped out of the spot, making the flame stop assaulting him.
Ethan was planning to use his new skill, "Dragon Spark," but he decided against it since it could mislead people to think it is lightning, and that would have caused a huge problem for him.
Blocky soon spun his legs and delivered a kick. However, Ethan was close to him, so he pushed his foot backwards, causing Blocky to fall out of the ring.
When he fell, everyone in the hall turned and looked at Blocky, who was now sitting on the ground.
Seeing everyone staring at him, Blocky smacked the ground before standing up.
"So he is one of the aces among the normal students, huh?" Wu Chen, the instructor, said after watching their fight for a while, "He is not that bad."
Blocky soon returned to the ring. His face was sunken, his laugh lines were now deep, and his nose was now flaring upward.
Blocky took a fighting stance again, and he said, "Is that all you got? "Come on, show me what you are made of!"
Ethan was staring in Blocky's direction, but it was actually behind him.
At one of the rings, Ethan could see the red-haired girl from earlier, tossing Helen around the ring like she was a doll. Ethan could tell by looking at her state that she was in no situation to fight again. Helen's legs wobbled as she tried to stand up again, but alas, she fell back onto the ring again.
The red bruises on her face were visible; her lips were bleeding, and slap marks could be seen all over her cheeks.
"Am I too weak for him? Why is he zoning off during a fight?" Blocky thought while staring at Ethan, who was standing like a tree.
"Helen, are you OK? Did I hit you hard?" the red-haired girl said with a smirk.
"Come on, let me help you up," The red-haired girl extended her hand. Helen grabbed it and tried to stand up. However, the red-haired girl let go of Helen's hand, making her fall on her butt. "Help yourself, bitch!" The girl sneered and condensed a water ball. The water ball grew thicker and sharper until it was now as sharp as the tip of a blade. The girl smirked and whispered, "This is going to hurt. Better brace yourself," she said and threw the water ball at Helen.
The ball spiraled through the air, making time move slower. Helen closed her eyes and awaited her fate.
"It's just a water ball. It won't hurt much, but it is also as sharp as a knife. What if it pierced me? " Helen shut her eyes tightly, and she clenched her fists. " I will make you pay. I will make you pay. I will make you pay," the voice repeatedly echoed in Helen's mind.
When the ball was a few meters away from Helen's face, a hand suddenly slapped the ball away.
"It should have hit me by now, right?" Helen asked herself, and her eyes twitched slightly, and they opened.
And Ethan was seen, standing directly in front of her. She nearly teared up after seeing him.
Ethan glanced at Helen and looked at the red-haired girl.
"So this is a new way of bullying, huh?" Ethan glared at her with a cold gaze.
" This is none of your business; I would advise you to step out of the way if you do not..."
"If not, what?" Ethan said.
"You will find out soon," the girl said and dashed at Ethan.
Seeing her, Ethan withheld his strength and held her hand before he pushed her backwards, making her fall.
"You dare touch me with your filthy hands!! I would make you pay for the rest of your days in this academy," she said, and her small nostrils flared up.
"And how are you going to do that?" Ethan tilted his head to the side.
" Hahahaa!! look behind you," she said with a smirk.
Ethan turned around, and he saw a huge, bulky figure with a level 8 shown on his metal handband.
