Chapter 32 - Training inside a VR 2

Ethan put all his brain cells to work; he tried to make the sword he had just held. Then, after a while, the sword started to take shape slowly, and soon it took the shape of a sword. Although the sword didn't look like the one Rowena made, it was still durable.

Ethan started spinning the sword around his back as if he was freestyling with the sword.

"Good, good. I never expected it to be this fast," Rowena said, and he added, "Now try making different things with the flame. It should be easy now, but just and additional info, try using the same method you used with the sword."

After hearing what Rowena said, Ethan gave Rowena a little distance and started spinning the sword around; soon the sword turned into a stream of flame before it started taking shape.

The stream of flame now looked like a streak of flame, and Ethan began to spin it even faster before he hit the ground and a bang sound resounded.

"a spear? Impressive. It seems like you are quite the talented one; to master this in this short amount of time, you are really talented," Rowena mumbled to himself in a surprised tone.

"If I could remember, back in the dark gale, it took me months to master this skill, and he had already mastered it in a day and to such control. Truly frightening."

"Alright, I will let you master the feeling. It would be a lot easier for you to master it," Rowena said, and he moved back a little.

"I can't stop thinking about that cliff. Well, there is only one word to describe it: a blessing in disguise, "Ethan thought; he soon made two daggers out of the flame, dispersing the spear, and he started cutting the air.

Then, after using the dagger for a while, Ethan turned the dagger into a bow.

Rowena had a smile as he saw Ethan pulling the bow string as if he was testing it.

"It seems like all hope is not lost. The draconian empire would once again rise to its fullest, "Rowena thought with a wide smile.

Ethan pulled the flamy bow, aiming at a nearby tree before he released it and a flamy arrow materialized in the air. The arrow flew at a relatively fast pace, and immediately, as it made contact with the tree, a boom sound resounded.

The smoke covering the trees cleared, revealing a burnt tree that was now engulfed in flames.

"This is great," Ethan looked at the bow in his hands with admiration.

"Why haven't I seen anyone use the flame ability like this?" Ethan asked.

As far as he had seen, the draconian race made use of flashy attacks and sometimes made different flame skills, but he had never seen any of them make a weapon out of the flame.

" Everything I am teaching you is in the legendary dragon book," Rowena said.

"Dragon Book?" Ethan muttered, trying to see if he had heard about it, but alas, nothing came to his head.

"It is a legendary book that contains all the skills I formed, and it is usually passed down from emperor to emperor," Rowena said, after noticing Ethan's confused expression.

The more he looked at the bow and the new things he could do with the flame, the more his desire for strength intensified, and this wanted to make him thank his brothers for throwing him off that cliff, but that didn't mean he had forgiven them. In fact, he already had things he would do and install for them.

"Alright, why don't we spar for a little bit?" Rowena suggested with a smile, pulling Ethan out of his trance.

"Or you mean a beat down?" Ethan said with a bitter smile.

For the next few hours, they trained, and during this period, Ethan made use of his new flame skills, but the outcome was still the same.

The next day, after the lesson, he went to the canteen and filled his plates with chicken breast and green veggies sprinkled on them and started digging into them.

Noah, Ileus, and Helen stared at Ethan as he continued gobbling his meal.

They have never seen him eat like this in the short amount of time they have spent here.

"Dude, are you OK?" Noah asked.

"I... OK," Ethan said with a mouthful of chicken.

After he scuffled with Kai and his girlfriend, Ethan told Helen to sit with them so that he would be able to keep an eye on Helen.

Although Noah and Ileus always teased him about them being in a relationship, he still kept his word.

He didn't know what he was doing, but he guessed it was probably because of his past.

During these last few days, Ethan had noticed some students stalking him and Helen, but they hadn't acted yet. That's why he didn't approach them either.

Ethan hastily finished his food, and he rushed out of the canteen.

"Where is he going?" Noah asked while staring at Ethan's back.

"I think he is going to play that Be game," Ileus replied.

" How did you know?" Noah asked again.

Ileus stared at Noah as if he was looking at a kid, and he said, "Of course, you wouldn't know. After all, you are not always around, and by the way, where the hell do you go to always ? "

Noah didn't respond to his question; instead, he said, "I know the VR could be used for training, but this is an obsession. Is he training for something? "

Helen, who had been quiet this entire time, finally spoke, "It is because of his upcoming duel against a pure blood."

"What?"

Immediately, Ethan entered his dorm room. He first went to take a shower because he was planning on spending the entire night inside the VR.

After his bath, he entered the pod,and the sweet feminine voice welcomed him.

[Welcome to Earth 2]

This time, Ethan shuffled through the terrain displayed on the screen, attempting to become acquainted with as many fighting terrains as possible.

He made swipes with his hands until he came to a halt at the photo of icy terrain.

"I have always wondered which is stronger between water and fire, and this is the best place for it," Ethan mumbled to himself before he made a tap, and the next moment, his figure disappeared from the black space.

Ethan appeared in a valley with a huge snowy mountain on both sides. The surface was also covered with huge ice sheets, which were a bit slippery, and thick fog could be seen all over the air, making the place a bit blurry.

The entire valley felt cold and chilly, akin to being inside a freezer. And one noticeable thing about the valley was the water beneath the icy surface, which was transparent and could reflect a person's image.

Isn't this a virtual reality? Why is it so cold? " Ethan said as he rubbed his palms together.

At the same time, outside the pod, Noah and Ileus stood, watching Ethan through the transparent pod.

"We should leave him for now; when he gets out, we will confront him," Noah said to Ileus, and the latter nodded his head.

Inside the VR

Ethan walked slowly across the slippery ice sheets. Some spots on the icy ground had huge craters with cold water filled with several ice cubes that could be seen floating on top of them.

"How am I supposed to train here if this place is this fragile?" Ethan said, and he stomped the ground.

Immediately after he did that, cracks began to appear on the ice sheets.

"Huff," Ethan exclaimed, taking a deep breath, "the last thing I'd want is to turn into an ice-blo-"

Ethan stopped midway when he noticed cracks crawling like a spider web underneath the ice surface at a relatively fast pace. The crack crawled towards Ethan, surrounding him.

Ethan held his breath as he looked at the sight in front of him.

The crack now looked like it would shatter if Ethan moved even a single muscle.
