Somewhere inside the academy, several men and women in standard blue military uniforms, with the words "WMO" written on them, sat around a relatively large round table.
The atmosphere was quite intense as no one made a single noise until a bald man with a deep scar on his left cheek, which showed his naked jawbone, spoke, "May I know the reason for this meeting?"
Dead silence fell on the hall as everyone looked at each other, waiting for who would speak first.
The atmosphere was now getting a bit weird, until a female soldier spoke up, "Sir, the reason we called this mission was because of the fight between a pureblood and a normal student."
"So what about it?" The scarred man said nonchalantly.
"Sir, pardon my rudeness, but I think this is not right. We should stop the fight now that it is early.
Kai Boulder won't lose, and the same could be said for Ethan Hawk, and you and I know that the pureblood could go to any extent for the sake of their pride, so if by chance, Kai happens to lose, what do you think would happen to Ethan Hawk?" Another soldier said.
Since the beginning of the new era, the purebloods portrayed themselves as the strongest among humans, and their pride was as large as the size of a planet. In the past, when a normal civilian won a fight, they wouldn't even know how they found themselves in the land of death the next day. Only a few who are as strong as them can go toe to toe with them.
All the military soldiers looked at the scared man, expecting him to say something.
The man heaved a loud audible breath before he pressed a free button on his seat handle and a screen came through the table.
All the soldiers focused on the screen The screen displayed footage of Ethan's feat at the assessment and the fight between him and Heina's minions.
After the screen turned blank again, the scared man spoke again, "You all saw that, right? The flame's ability is already powerful, but the way he used it was more deadly and pure than any other flame I have seen.
And we all know that the Grand Commander is looking for talents, and Ethan Hawk is, clearly, one, so the military would ensure his safety. But if the pure blood does anything strange to him, Captain Ruku will pay them a visit. "

All the students flocked toward the largest training hall that the academy has to offer. They chatted among themselves and described how Ethan would lose.
No one among the students really thought he would win, and due to the fact that this was a fight involving a pureblood, the academy issued a free day for the students. That was just the level of confidence they had in the pure-blood's winning.
Amid the mist of the crowded students, Helen stood, looking up at a screen that displayed the image of Ethan and Kai. She clutched at her uniform, wrinkling it.
"This is all my fault; I should have told him not to interfere," she said, and tears started forming in her eyes before they slowly trailed down her cheeks. "I should have just taken the beating. After all, I am quite used to it already. " Helen wiped the tears off her face, and she was about to head towards the hall where the fight would happen, but the voice she had come to hate resounded in her ears.
"How are you, Helen?"
Helen didn't turn around; she paused, her lips together, and her small fist clenched to the point where it started digging into her palm.
Helen used all her will to control her emotions. She knew she couldn't fight this person. Even if she tried, the outcome would still be the same. After a while, she turned around, and she saw Heina and her two friends standing beside her.
Heina flashed an arrogant smile before saying, "Helen, would you like to accompany us to the fight arena so that we could watch your boyfriend get his ass kicked?" Heina sounded like a friend. If a passer-by saw them, they would think the two were friends.
Helen stared at Heina up and down, as if she was a piece of trash, and swiftly turned around before walking away.
Heina's smile vanished, and her face darkened.
"Bitch, you dare to walk away from me." A sharp water ball began to form, making a bubbling sound, and she raised her hands.
Quincy and Shasha quickly held her hand after seeing what she was about to do.
"Look at that bitch! Who gave her permission to walk out on me?" Heina said, trying to wiggle her hands that were held behind her by her friend's grip.
" Don't embarrass yourself more than this; everybody is already staring at you," Shasha yelled in Heina's ear.
Heina regained her composure and looked at the student who had surrounded her in a circle.
"What are you all looking at?" Heina yelled at them, and they all scurried away from the vicinity like scared cats.
Because of the way Heina flaunts herself as Kai's girlfriend, many of the students give her respect, and some female students try to get on her good side. This respect wasn't exclusive to Kai alone; it was also exclusive to other purebloods.
"Come on, let's go watch that ass hole get his ass kicked," Heina said and stridden away. Shasha and Quincy looked at her back and shook their heads before following her.
Oblivious to all this commotion, Ethan walked into the large hall packed with several students on both sides. He walked calmly with his head held high. Well, the same could not be said for the noisy crowd of students, who looked like they would pounce on him any moment from now if not for the metal barricades holding them back.
"Boo"
"Boo"
"Boo"
Every step he took, the booing continued.
"You dare go against a demi-god."
"You are dead meat."
"Walking corps."
Despite all their screaming and taunting, Ethan walked calmly until he got to the middle of the arena, where a wide flat metal platform similar to a sumo ring stood, and the instructor, Wu, stood there in a standard white and black referee uniform.
Wu Chen flashed a smile at Ethan, and the latter nodded as well. From what he could tell, Wu Chen wasn't a bad person. He looked friendly, not only to him alone but to the other students as well. But from how he talked and advised him outside the training dojo, it was clear that he had a history with pure blood.
The next person to walk in was Kai, with, of course, Heina behind.
"Ka!"
"Kai!"
"Kai!"
Kai's name resounded all over the hall, and it would be a lie if it didn't make Ethan a bit jealous.
After some time, Kai and Ethanol stood facing each other. The referee stood in the middle, separating them, and he made a countdown, signaling the start of the fight.
