In a massive forest, an oval structure stood. The long trees surrounded the metal structure, forming a large circle.
Although Earth had gone through scientific evolution, the military still made time to preserve the wild lands of the blue planet.
They seemed to be the most considerate of all the other factions. At least that is what they show the public. But no one knew how they worked on the inside.
The huge metal structure looked out of place in contrast to the green, lush trees. If one looked closely from a birds-eye perspective, one would be able to see the large, spacious field behind the academy.
Several students who were done with their assessments sat around the green field chatting among themselves, while some stared at a certain blue-haired boy who was casually walking towards the front.
"Is that the Gate, kid?" a figure said while looking at a large screen, which currently displayed the assessment field.
"Yes, he is the one," another cloaked figure, right beside him, answered.
"He is said to be one of the aces of the younger generation," the cloaked figure added.
"What is so special about him?" The first figure asked.
On the screen, Noah could be seen charging at the flying bots.
"The question should be, what's so special about their family?" The cloaked figure replied.
Currently, Noah was dashing in between the flying bots while sending out metal spikes, just like Blocky did.
The bots shot lasers at him, but he deflected them, making them hit the other robots.
Looking closely, everyone noticed he moved out of the way before the robots could even fire a shot.
Seeing him now made Ethan confused. He shifted his gaze to Ileus beside him, and he saw the latter with a surprised look.
Ethan asked, "What is it? "
He is using my ability," Ileus said in a surprised tone, as if he couldn't believe it.
"I thought as much, but didn't he just use a metal ability?"
Their eyes widened again at what they saw next.
At the same time, inside the surveillance room,
"wait, isn't that the water's ability?" The figure said in a surprised tone.
The figure continued, "Did he just make use of two abilities?"
"No, he made use of three. The cloaked figure answered: "First, it was the ability known as predict; second, it was the metal ability, which you know is controlled by the military; and lastly, the water ability," the cloaked figure answered. One might figure out based on the way the figure spoke that it was a man.
What kind of ability is that? " The man said, amazed.
Ethan, Ileus, and all the other students were surprised at what they were seeing.
Noah made several sharp water spikes, with edges like a knife, in the air, but that wasn't the issue here. They had seen him use two abilities, or at least that is what they thought. It was something unheard of. Every person can only have one ability. That's the norm, but Noah was using two abilities at once, which left them surprised.
Blocky looked at Ileus and then at Noah, and shivers went through his spine.
He made a mental note not to offend this person. He knew who his opponent was and who was not, and clearly, Noah wasn't his opponent. In fact, he would like to become friends with Noah.
Noah then made a click with his hands and all the spikes shot at the bots, piercing them, and they burst out through the bots. And they stopped moving.
Just like that, the test was over at 1 minute on the dot.
After his test, all the students scattered for him to walk through.
The instructor instantly took note of Noah's name after the test.
One of the reasons why they made trained military personnel, who had experienced real battle and bloodshed, was for the main purpose of spotting talent, and he had spotted a total of three, including Noah.
To be honest, he felt he was limiting Noah by positioning him at the same level as the other two.
The difference between Noah and the rest was as clear as day.
Ethan was glad that, at least, he was on Noah's good side. He will never underestimate humans again. If a level 7 ability user can do this, what about those purebloods whose abilities have passed the 10 mark?
Before coming to Earth, Aldric gave him a warning not to offend the pureblood family, no matter what.
Well, he can't predict the future. But if by chance, they try messing with him on his path to greatness, he wouldn't mind repaying the favour. Of course, he won't invoke their wrath for now, except that he wants to be squashed like an ant.
"Nice one, bro," Ileus now looked at Noah in a different light. They say respect is given to those who deserve it and clearly, Noah deserves his.
As usual, Ethan wanted to ask questions, but unfortunately, he heard his name.
"Ethan Hawk!!" The instructor's loud voice reverberated.
Before coming to Earth, Ethan had changed his surname to Hawk. The idea was suggested by Aldric, and Ethan knew better not to ask questions.
The latter always seemed to know what he was doing and, by the way, the name seemed cool, so he adopted it.
Like the rest of the previous students, the robots attacked first. Ethan didn't stand there either. He ran in a zig-zag form in between the flying bots, avoiding all their lasers shot at him.
Ever since he merged with the ancient dragon, he grew more confident. Why wouldn't he? When he had one of the strongest beings in him.
So far, he has avoided all the bots' attacks. After a while, he went for the attack.
He knew if he wanted to accomplish his goals in this world, then it would be the academy.
Pointing his finger out like a gun, he fired 2 flame bullets that looked like they came out of his fingers.
The flame bullets moved as if they were actual bullets and penetrated the first robots.
When everybody thought it would end there, the bullets burst out of the first robot and then penetrated the second and the third.
Just like that, he killed three flying bots.
Ethan blew the smoke that was now coming out of his fingertips, in a grandeur manner.
Seeing what Ethan had done, all the remaining robots pointed their lasers at him.
