Chapter 10 - The journey begins

The four Dragon princes were currently seated at a round table.

The atmosphere was quite tense, to the extent that a pin drop would echo.

Lewis, seated at the side, glared at Ethan with a mixture of shock, fear, and hatred.

Ethan was minding his own business, as usual, and Liam was quite cautious in front of Ethan.

He didn't mock Ethan the way he usually did; he dared not act arrogant after the confrontation.

Kane stared at Ethan. He'd been doing it the whole time, trying to figure out just what was different about Ethan. His eyes suddenly squinted as he saw a glimpse of Ethan's tattoo.

Kane had beaten Ethan on several occasions, so he knew just what Ethan's body looked like. He also noticed Ethan's now-defined muscles, and now the whole thought just seemed confusing.

"Just what are you hiding? What happened to you? "

The large double doors soon opened wide, and Aldric walked through them. He entered and took his usual spot beside the large seat.

"I am not going to beat around the bush," Aldric said. "The reason I called you here is for your next mission briefing."

"A new mission?" Kane asked as the eldest brother.

"Yes, I won't lie to you. This mission will be a lot harder than the rest, so I advise you to pay attention. " He looked at everybody's faces present in the room and saw no reaction.

"Your next mission is to become a powerhouse on the planet you will be assigned to. Why? I know you would want to know, so let me say it is just expanding our influence over the other planets, so it would be easy to keep them in check. "

"Won't that make us look like the VILIANS?" Liam asked.

Ethan rolled his eyes after hearing what Liam said.

"It is not, Liam. There is nothing like good or bad in politics. Aldric said, and holographic planets appeared in his hands.

There was planet Earth, a black planet, a green planet, and lastly, a red-crimson-shaped planet.

Aldric made a swipe with his hand, and the planet floated to the princes.

Planet Earth went to Ethan, the green planet went to Lewis, the strange black-looking planet went to Liam, and the crimson-shaped planet went to Kane.

"The planet in front of you will be your base of operation. Earth, as you know, is the human planet. The black-colored planet is the vampires' home. The green-colored planet belongs to the elves, and lastly, the demon planet. "

"Demons are a bit stronger. They are on par with the Draconian race. That is the reason, Kane. You will be going there since you are the strongest of all the princes. "

Kane had a smug expression on his face after hearing what Aldric said.

Although Aldric acknowledged Kane, he was unsure because there was another person now, and he wondered if those two fought, who would win?

"Are you there?" Ethan asked inwardly.

"I am here," Rowena answered.

"Do you know about Earth?"

"Yes, why won't I know?"

"Ok, can you tell me more about Earth?" Ethan was not ready for his bragging, so he went straight to the point.

"If I could remember, Earth was developed, but not to this extent, so I can't give you a clear explanation. For now, maybe when we get there, I will provide more information."

"You just had my hopes up for nothing." Ethan thought he could get a head start. He made a mental note to not be over-dependent on this dragon.

"You will be departing any moment from now, so pack your things up," Aldric warned.

Although he said to pack your things up, it was not necessary because the world has advanced and people now have access to spatial rings, which can store anything depending on the space.

If the spatial ring were of a high grade, one could even wear and swap clothes at once, and naturally, all the princes had high-tier spatial rings.

"Oh, before I forget, we will be using a spaceship, not the portals," Aldric said before leaving the room.

Out in space...

A square-shaped spaceship approached the blue planet slowly. The ship was relatively small since it was a one-man ship.

Ethan sat in the control room staring out through the space window, not like he was doing anything as the ship was on autopilot.

The other princes were also sent to their assigned planets separately. The reason for this? He didn't know, but he had a vague guess that Aldric was trying to make them familiar with space.

They were told earlier that Earth has a division of the military called space soldiers, and this was why Ethan was moving at a slow pace, akin to a snail.

Andric recently heard from his spies that Earth's space soldiers had tightened their security recently, yet he still sent them through space. Aldric said it was another mission to sneak past the soldiers. This difficulty was present on the other planets they were assigned to.

Ethan saw a huge cruise-like shaped station near Earth. The ship looked like the ones used in the ocean, but this one was made of strong black metal. The W.M.O logo, outlined with blue lights, was inscribed in the middle.

A few smaller ships with the same logo patrolled around the planet in a circle.

"That is tight security. I wonder why the security is this tight. Are they expecting something? " Ethan thought, and he pressed the camouflaged button on the control pad, and the spaceship became invisible.

Ethan wouldn't want these space soldiers to notice anything weird That is why the ship is currently moving like a snail.

When a gap was left open by the patrolling ships, Ethan zoomed through it. He could see another group of smaller ships still patrolling around in circles.

This was the second layer of security. This second measure was put in place as a final security measure. Or is it?

He used the same strategy and went through the same gap. "This is easy," Ethan thought with a smile, and now he could see Earth, but he still didn't pick up the pace because the space station was still close by.

The last thing he wants to do is have a space battle. Although it will be fun, he still needs to avoid it.

The Draconian race's hierarchical structure was a bit different from other planets'. They believed in sending heirs to the throne on dangerous missions. It could be a matter of life and death. Nobody knew who made these rules, but they have been followed for centuries. Well, this present mission will take a long time to complete, maybe a decade. Nobody can tell.

The ship slowly entered Earth's atmosphere.
