After eating until I felt like I was ready to burst, I gathered all of my groceries and began making my way up the stairs to my room. On my way up, I heard a commotion and then heard or saw a pair of footsteps going down the stairs, and when I glanced up, two kids were racing down. There were two of them: a girl and a boy. The girl, I assumed, was a Ruldi since she had horns and a tail, but her skin was human, and the boy appeared to be a normal human. I was on the steps as the kids ran down towards me when the small girl stumbled and fell.
It would have been a long way down for the little girl if she fell from that height; it would have been about 50 steps before she came to a halt, which would be extremely dangerous for a child her age, and she might just die if she fell; when I calculated all of this, I debated whether I should save her. 'This would not benefit me,' I reasoned, but then I realized my earlier opinion and felt a bit sorry since everything in my life had made me into a cold uncaring monster. All of these ideas raced through my mind in a matter of milliseconds, and I eventually decided to save the girl.
I opted to save the little child because it was the proper thing to do, not because it would benefit me.
I dropped the bags in my hands and grabbed the girl in the middle of the drop. I wrapped her in a protective hug, covering her head with my hand. We both tumbled, and I rolled down the steps until my back smacked on an apartment wall. When the folks inside saw the young kid in my hands, they tried to help me up. But I dismissed them and focused on the small child on my chest. She shivered and clutched my hood as if her life depended on it. When I saw this, I smiled and softly stated, "You're safe now kiddo."
She stared at my face with teary eyes when she heard me. She murmured, trembling, "Thank you, big bwther." When I heard the small girl, I nearly burst out laughing. But I restrained myself and stood up, putting the girl down. At the same moment, the small boy approached us and inquired in a worried tone, "A-are you alright Arinn?" The little girl nodded enthusiastically. I scolded them lightly in a serious tone, "Kids, don't run on the stairs or this will happen again," their heads down while they nodded slowly.
After I scolded them, another pair of footsteps walked right up to us. When I looked at the person approaching us, I noticed a gorgeous female. That appeared to be my age, she had argent-colored hair with black streaks in between, a set of horns on her head with a shining white light going through them, and a sharp tail like Arinn and beautiful ruby blue eyes. "Arinn, are you okay?" Are you hurt somewhere? " she inquired. "Big swster, I'm all wight," Arinn told her everything with a smile. I was startled when she told her sister everything in full without a single lie, not even about her own mistake.
When I saw that innocent kid, my cold lips moved up into a small smile. Arinn's sister thanked me with a deep bow after hearing everything. "Thank you for saving my little sister," she added gratefully. "No need to bother about me," I remarked as I started to gather up my groceries, which were thrown everywhere. Arinn's sister nealed down with me to pick them up, "let me assist you, this is the least I can do to repay you for saving my sister," she said. I didn't refuse her assistance, but I also didn't say anything; after gathering everything, I rose and began heading upstairs.
When I was about to reach the top of the steps on that floor, I heard a sweet voice say from behind me, "I am Aimee." "Steven," I said without looking back. "See you around Steven," Amiee called, but I didn't respond as I continued up the stairs to my room. When Steven was out of sight, Aimee gazed at the steps Steven had just walked up, a faint flush on her cheeks for some reason she didn't understand. "Steven huh," she mumbled to herself, "I'll remember it.". Steven, on the other hand, had arrived at the top floor and he unlocked his door. Whilst seated on his sofa in his living room, he placed all of the glossaries on the table.
following the placement of all glossaries I entered my room and sat at the study table. As I sat down, I considered what I should do next because I still have roughly two years until I can join the army. So, what should I do for the next two years? I questioned myself. I have a lot of money and other things I didn't know what to do with. I went through my storage device and looked over everything. I had roughly 100 million in cash. I didn't sure what to do with it because it was so large, even I could tell. But I quickly discovered several books about mana.
As I removed them from my storage device. I was taken aback to discover seven big volumes on Advanced Mana management, spells, and other topics. My eyes nearly glowed with excitement when I saw them. I wanted to learn more about mana and discover new methods to develop and utilize it. As a result, I took the first book from the stack and opened it.
