As soon as I noticed the gun was aimed at my head, I quickly uttered, "I'm sorry, dude." I just had a question, and I apologized as well. The only basis for the question was curiosity. "As soon as I said so, the gun pointed at my head moved away." As I said this, A.J calmed down a little more, and then he said with a scoff, "This batter will be the last time I show mercy once." Following that, he grinned and continued, "And see, outside of my room at 7 a.m. tomorrow we will go to register you as a hunter partner." As he finished speaking, he left my room and began to make his way to his, but I quickly ran to the door and questioned, "Which one is your room?"
While walking, he said without turning, "Downstairs apartment number 1953." I entered my room as soon as I heard this, locking it from the inside while I tried to remember his room number.
It was almost one in the morning when I glanced at the clock in the living room. I moved toward my bed as I observed this and prepared to fall asleep with my nightmares. I had the same nightmare of the day of the skyfall as soon as I drifted off to sleep, but I soon woke up. I looked at the time and realised it was about 5:30, so I got up, did some light stretching, and then took a shower. It was around 6:30 am when I finished, and I still had time, so I went to the refrigerator and got some cereal to eat for breakfast.
When 6:40 rolled around, I felt a familiar presence outside my door. I opened it, and there was a lovely girl named Aimee standing. Her school uniform was on. It was a shirt with a tie and a skirt. She looked adorable in it. I looked her over and jokingly said, "Good morning." You can either knock on the door or just walk right in. I can provide you with the password. " Aimee merely pouted and responded, "I assumed you were asleep and thought I could surprise you by waking you up." Before she could finish, I interrupted, "But you realized that you didn't know the code to my apartment?"
She then lightly punched my chest while pouting angrily. When I noticed this, I laughed, gave her my apartment's password, and added her fingerprint to the door. It was almost seven when we finished everything, so we moved out and I escorted her while making my way to A.J's apartment.
So Aimee questioned me, "So how do you know A'J anyway?" as we were making our way downstairs. "As far as I can tell, he is a detective." She asked I assumed that A.J must have told people that he was an investigator rather than a bounty hunter when I heard this, so I made up a lie: "Ya, A.J offered me a job as his partner and I took it." I said, after hearing this Aimee asked, "So are you going to work as an investigator too?" when I heard what she had asked. I was about to commit suicide from the guilt of lying to her when I looked into her eyes and saw the innocence there, but I said, "Ya, I will." This is when we arrived in front of AJ's apartment.
AJ was shocked to see me and Aimee together when he came out of his apartment, but he soon collected himself and said, "Good morning, you two," followed by, "Steven, are you ready to go?" I nodded in response as the three of us started to make our way downstairs and out of the building soon
We both walked with her to the bus stop and chatted with each other while waiting for Aimee's school bus. She kissed me on the cheek and got on the bus as soon as it arrived. However, AJ's shocked face could be seen when I turned around. He questioned, "You moved here three days ago and you are dating her?" AJ frowned as soon as he heard my response, so I just gave a sheepish smile and said, "I think I'm just more handsome than you."
We moved to the building's parking lot after grumbling for a while, and I soon found myself in front of a hover car. I looked at AJ with a question in my eyes, and he said, "This was my father's car." His parents had given him this car just before they passed away, and he loved it. "I modified the car and added new things to it, including this," he continued, "when I became a hunter." After saying this, he pushed a button on the car key, which caused the vehicle to change colors and display the number plate "Black Phantom." I had to take a step back and gasp in awe when I saw it.
AJ grinned and looked dejected when he saw how I reacted, and I could tell how much he had altered the car when I entered it. It contained a few COP radios, gun holders, and radars. A short while later, AJ donned a hood to conceal his face, sat in the driver's seat, and turned the ignition. We didn't hear a sound at first, but we soon began to move. AJ instructed me to put on a mask as we were in the air. To ensure that no one could see my face, he gave me a mask. The black mask clung to my face like it was glued there when I put it on. As we made our way to the bottom of the closest
Before we arrived at a fairly large structure that was almost 50 stories high, AJ informed me of all the guidelines that bounty hunters adhered to. I could register as a bounty hunter with this organization because it was the closest one. As I entered, I was giddy with anticipation because this would be a totally new experience for me.
