Chapter 3 - Chapter Three:

My mom called, wanting to know what I'd been up to and made me wonder, not for the first time in my life if she had bionic eyes. To think I believed in the mouse taking your teeth only a few years ago! That was until I caught my mom in the act. She even made my sister believe that all babies come through the tummy until Abby had to tell her that she must stop lying. Already, she knew they came out of the vagina. Now that was not a thought to have while speaking to my mother after the day before and this morning. Mothers read minds too. She wanted to see me that weekend so I said I would see her and very quickly ended the call.

At school I walked straight into Sam and to start your day how you end it, is not cool. She put her hands on my chest to stop herself falling and lingered for a bit. I on the other hand, had tried to move quickly away before I couldn't help myself again. Sam was somehow very distant in her ways, only saying quickly that what happened yesterday was safe with her. Well, that was a relief and I moved away to my friends who had seen what happened and were making all kinds of sounds. Her blush was clear when she walked off.

'Jordi, you devil you!'

'Hooking up with your sister's friend and a senior! How cool is that!'

'I just spoke with her guys!' I tried lying.

'Yes, we saw that just now with her hands on you, feeling you up.'

It would be really nice to know she did that, but I would not admit it openly.

She almost fell guys; what do you expect? She was breaking her fall, guess you guys don't know how to, no wonder you all look so ugly from falling on your faces all the time.'

We all laughed aloud which made Sam turn this time giving me a very dirty look. I had to explain.

'Sam wait-up!'

She turned and looked very upset.

'Look, I just told them you were breaking your fall and said they are ugly from all that falling on their faces, because they do not stick their hands out in time.'

She laughed which made me blush and when she stopped suddenly and moved close to me, I could feel her breath on my now hot, red ear as she asked:

'Who was breaking a fall, Jordi? I wasn't.'

Wow, that put a stupid smile on my face. Make it a stupid grin that lasted the whole day. My sister came to me later in a temper of note.

'Jordi, please run after your own friends and leave mine alone at school. Yes, deny it! I saw you running after Sam this morning you stupid fool.'

Not even that killed my mood.

'I am stupid and grossed-out! Who wants your friends? Go away Abby. I do not want my friends to see you with me either, how embarrassing!

The girls were having a sleep-over that night and it sucked big time because I was grounded.

I wished my friends could come over too, but daddy's princess got whatever she asked by snapping her fingers. Not that she realised it, but I did. I couldn't play on my bloody X-Box, nor chat with my friends. I knew my dad wouldn't be home early, so I went to the game shop on the military base. The girls decided to come there too, which made me decide to go back home rather to take myself away from her friends. One in particular.

It sucked having to make changes because of my sister. They were tipsy and I wondered where they'd got the alcohol from. It must be from the bar at the game shop. My guess was that one of the young military guys thought to do the girls a favour, hoping to get lucky too. At least I now have one on Abby. If I thought Sam is quiet when she was sober, being drunk made her even more so. The other three friends became very expressive, which was kind of upsetting to watch. I walked home very upset and vowed that dad would know about his precious daughter. The girls were very rowdy and I guess if my friends had been here, they would have enjoyed the attention, but not me. My thoughts were consumed with one girl only and what she had said, which I know I didn't imagine. I locked my door and heard a clear voice telling the girls to leave me alone. They were not impressed at all and told her to play mother hen somewhere else to which Abby said:

'You guys, eeew … that is my brother!'

Laughingly they replied to her saying that I was the only guy they could practice on, and the 'eeew' seemed to echo again. I heard Abby say that she was going to sleep the shit off before they're caught by dad. After a while the house was quiet, so I decided to get a cold drink and tiptoed to the kitchen when I heard someone say:

'Thank goodness it is you!'

I turned and walked into a wall. Sam, laughing her heart out, tried to keep quiet with her finger on her lips which made me stare at it for a very long time. Until she broke the spell.

'Come, your sister brags that you can make food. Make us something to eat! I am hungry!'

I made pan toast and we ate in silence for a while.

'Why did you lock your door on the girls? They just wanted to have a little bit of fun tonight.'

'My sister's friends are just annoying Sam.'

'Present company included?' she asked with a frown.

'Of course not! Why would you think that?'

I asked with sweat running down my back. She came around the counter and put her plate in the sink, walked up to me and took my drink out of my hands, took a sip and gave it back with a kiss on my cheek and a thank you. Looking straight into my eyes, she took another long sip that dripped slightly from her lips. She licked it away slowly. Or was it just my brain making everything move in slow motion? How could a drop of juice make me so…? Do that to me?

Before I could put it into words, she kissed me on my lips, waiting for a reaction. I kissed her back. Her hands came to my head, her fingers moved in my hair, and everything stood still. Our breath could be felt mixing, and I could smell and taste the sweetness. She kissed me with an open mouth and shyly licked over my lips. I opened my mouth and just the tip of her tongue touched mine before we came to our senses with the impact of the kiss. It felt as if both of us had just run a marathon. All I could do, was stare, and just like that she disappeared from view. Wow!

What had just happened here? Did it happen, or was I hallucinating? I went to sleep with the disappointing thought that it might not be real. If it was true, then this was most definitely a kiss to remember and to top it, my first. My mother came to fetch me early the next day and I left without making sure if it was really a dream or not. My hope that it was not a dream. However, did not sustain me for the weekend. I told my mother that I kissed a girl and her first reaction was to guess that it was one of Abby's friends. I gawked at her.

'Yes Ma, it was a great first kiss, but I do not know if I have dreamt it or if it really happened.'

I sat there with a big grin on my face and pride clearly visible, with internal warnings that it could be my hormones playing a trick on me. Mom smiled at me with love in her eyes.

'Jordi, I cannot believe that your voice broke again and every time you come to me, you've changed a bit more.'

'Well stop highlighting it Ma! It is very embarrassing".

"Well am sorry that I cannot see the change every day. Are you sure you don't want to come live here with me and your grandparents?'

'Not now Ma, but I do miss you sometimes.'

She playfully tapped me on my head.

'Only sometimes Jordi?'

'Yes,' I said, making her laugh at my straightforward honesty.
