Chapter 4 - Chapter Three

Csilla Merikh, too beautiful to be real, they say. Just ravishing. A breath of fresh air. Sight for sore eyes. The newspaper headlines screamed her name after her first movie graced the big screen. Hitman By Choice, her first movie clashed against the most famous actor of the time, Lucian Anderson's most recent movie Soul Fighter ever since the new year. At the moment, they were still exchanging first and second place on the charts as more people watched and reviewed the two works of art, unable to decide which one they liked more. Edward Barnes, a producer, and director from Barnes Studio had the bright idea of putting the two side by side in an action-packed movie with a dash of romance under a futuristic theme. Once the rumor of the movie got out, the media ran with it, and almost every person that was up to date with the two immediately made trends about it. The excitement was truly amazing, that was for sure.

Csilla was brought in early by her agent, a tall, thin elderly woman with high, sharp cheekbones and a ballerina bun so tight her face seemed to be pulled back against her skull. She stood firmly, a proud aura about her, and watched her young star keenly to ensure nothing was out of place. After a while of studying the script, the director, Mr. Barnes entered the circle, two well-dressed men striding acutely behind him. She looked up from her script, quite worried because she immediately picked up their scents. Werewolves. Who knew the most famous actor out there was an alpha wolf? She certainly was not expecting that. His agent was also one but of lesser ranks than Mr. Anderson. She took an unnoticed deep breath and forced a blinding smile stretching forth her hand to greet her partner in the film. The alpha froze in his tracks the moment she looked up, which worried her greatly. Did they know? What would happen to her if they find out? Would she be kicked out of showbiz? None of that wavered her fake smile but it bothered her greatly. Lucian physically shook himself back to the present taking cautious steps toward her. Csilla held her breath as he shook her hand, not bothering to smile as he took his seat. She stared down at her script to avoid looking at the beautiful man. She has seen his movies but they did him no justice compared to the real thing. He was dazzling and...his scent. Her heartbeat remained to beat at its usual slow steady rhythm, but her mind was electrified. That hunger...to taste his sweet blood. The young star has never encountered another being with such an ecstatic scent. She suddenly felt hungry and tempted to take a bite, even if it was just a taste of his blood. What am I thinking? Csilla tried not to think about the addictive smell of her male filming partner and tried to memorize her lines.

"Alright. I know the two of you are aware of each other's existence so there is no need for further introduction." Mr. Barnes took a seat in a chair facing the group. "I'm also sure that both of you have been through the first page of the script. This section is further down in the movie, but I want to observe how good the chemistry between the two of you would be."

"Wait, we have to method act some parts of this scene. Why?" Csilla questioned, not looking up from her script.

Barnes shrugged, leaning back in his chair. "That's where I'll get to experience what I've heard about you, Ms. Merikh."

Despite the dizzying scent of Mr. Anderson, Csilla was rather excited to begin acting. She needed to taste his nectarous blood. She got to her feet, gesturing for her counterpart to follow suit. Lucian glared at her before getting to his feet, facing Csilla, his script at the ready.

"Alright, pretend like we don't exist. And, action.."

Lucian instantly fell into character, standing with his chest forward and a smirk on his pretty face that caused her inner thighs to dampen. What the hell? "So, you're telling me that you escaped from the most secured secret agency in the entire universe? You expect me to believe that?"

Csilla frowned, hands on her hips, her eyes like daggers took a step toward him, getting up on her toes because he was so tall. "Yes, and I don't fucking care if you believe me or not. I was their most prized possession..." her face fell. She stepped back, looking down at the floor, a single tear rolling down her cheek. "Somehow, that shit comes with a price. A price I was forced to pay."

She turned away from him, taking a step forward only to be pulled back by him until she was almost touching his chest with her face. How the hell was he so bloody tall? Being this close, she had to hold her breath so his tempting scent didn't overwhelm her. Somehow, she noticed that he was also fighting to keep himself in character. Did he feel the same as she did?

"Hey," Lucian grabbed her shoulders, shaking her slightly. "Where do you think you're going?"

"Okay, it's time to get into method acting. Show me what you got," Barnes interrupted excitedly. He was definitely loving what he saw.

"Let me go!" Csilla powered out of his grip, landing a firm punch to his lower abdomen as soon as her legs hit the floor before racing away, stopping halfway to look back at him doubled over on the floor holding his stomach. "Don't you dare follow me because I won't hesitate to kill you."

Her voice like silver bells became hard and deadly. The threat seemed so genuine that most of the cast and other members froze to take in her performance to see if she was being serious. They couldn't tell. She was a natural.

"Wonderful! I love it!" Barnes applauded loudly, the others following in slight confusion. This wasn't real? "You two are perfect."

William walked over to Lucian who was forcing himself to get up and not let the onlookers know that she crushed his guts, and possibly cracked a rib with that punch.

"Hey, Mr. Barnes, I'm gonna have a word with Lucian. I promise I'll bring your star back," William announced, leading his boss from the eyes of the set and into a vacant dress room. He locked the door and helped Lucian to sit on one of the overstuffed couches nearby. "Holy shit, are you alright, Luce?"
