Chapter 11 - Blame

Back in Korea, the Country was peaceful. Though they heard of the so-called "terrorism" in France, it was not something that had made them tremble. After all, they did experience much worse up close Six years ago.

The murders by Union Agents, Battles between Clan Leaders and Union Elders; Werewolf Warriors, and even a Satellite Attack. They've just experienced that much terror.

What they do know in those experiences, however, was that all of those were done by one group of beings, living in the shadows of history; Nobles. At the very least, that's what they were taught to believe, as much as they were deceived to believe.

Humans… gullible as ever.

They never learn in their history of incompetence and foolishness.

Humanity has placed the blame on their saviors, and now, they're as ignorant as they ever were despite knowing a glimmer of those hidden truths.

Even in Six Years, the emergence of the knowledge that beings of higher power existed was still sensational. The popularity of the topic has not waned at all.

In all media; Television, Radio, Newspapers— They were still talked about as much.

And now…

['How do we know that those Nobles did not caused this incident as well?' said a person on the Television.]

['Well, I think it's a little unfair to pin it on them when we don't even have a full extent of knowledge on what actually happened.' said his companion.]

['Exactly. Once again, we knew nothing whatsoever. Despite our best and brightest's great effort, we haven't been able to determine what kind of bomb, where it was placed, how it came to be in the Sacré-Cœur, or even when it was placed there. Truth is, no one even knew about the extended floors. Now, tell me… do these pesky Nobles have not had the power to manipulate our minds? Had they not had the ability to bend the laws of nature? To move faster than the blink of an eye? YES!' replied the guy.]

…such was an example of the world today.

Using the remote, Takeo turned the Television off.

"Getting tired of those idiots, eh?" Asked Tao. He entered the room, as he just came from below.

"Somewhat." Takeo replied. "Any update?"

"Nothing much. Just that the signal was intended to lure us. I don't know if it's to kill us or what since the blast was too weak. And Frankenstein's still off the grid. Also, aside from the knowledge we gained about the Core's existence and a more complex strangled line of events, we know absolutely nothing of Frankenstein's whereabouts from that visit." Tao sighed.

"It's that bad, huh? Don't worry, we'll get through this."

"I hope so." Tao replied.

Suddenly, they sensed a disturbance in the air. Tao and Takeo immediately posed their heads as if trying to sense something. A second later, Tao faced the main doors, and Takeo stood up from his seat.

"Feel that?"

"Yeah."

"Let's meet whoever this is."

Takeo and Tao instantly disappeared from the room. They're next seen swiftly moving through the rooftops, along with the wind and the night sky.

Then, they halted. Stopped as they seemed to have reached their destination. In front of them was someone they haven't met before, but could otherwise recognize.
