"Here we are."
I stay in the car without getting out. Looking around the building, it hasn't changed much but it's only outside the gate I can see.
I'll still have to drive in if I'm to see the main Mansion.
"Wait here."
I get off the car and walk up to the gate which is heavily guarded.
I press the doorbell and hear a vibration inside.
The current owner didn't change much on the outside, I see.
A man comes to the gate and speaks through the intercom.
"Can I help you?"
"I'm here to see the house owner."
"He's not in right now."
"When do you think he will be back?"
"Tomorrow at the latest. What's your name please so I can tell him about your coming?"
"Akeelah. Akeelah Rose."
"Okay ma'am."
I turn and go back into the car.
I'll be back again tomorrow. I'm not giving up on my home just yet.
I can totally understand why the house is sold already.
But I have to admit, it must have been very expensive leaving it to my uncles.
The Rose Garden as widely called is the number 1 desired house in the entire country.
I'll be back again tomorrow, for now let's go back to the office. Won't be entirely uncomfortable to sleep on that wide couch in the office for tonight but by tomorrow, I'll have acquired my place.
If I had planned better, since when Anna called the first time, I should have been planning my leave so I won't be so homeless now.
In two days, I'll move in.
Wait a minute, why should I sleep at the office when the Group has an hotel?
"Rose Hotels please."
"You don't have to say please ma'am. It's your car."
"Oh."
We don't share another word until we get to the hotel.
"I'll go park the car. Call me tomorrow morning ma'am and I'll be here to drive you whatever time it is."
"I'll keep it in mind."
I get down an a porter takes my bag from the trunk of the car and takes it after me.
I get to the reception and meet three women. With these three, I can see why our once so popular hotel became so unpopular.
"I'd like a room."
One attends to me while doing something under the counter while the other two are chatting and applying makeup at the same time. They make women look so cheap.
The one attending to me looks at me from up to down and concludes that I'm not worth a good room.
"What kind of room do you have?"
"The Classic room and the Civilian room." She says offhandedly
"No Presidential or Executive suite?" I ask her, baffled
Now, the one who is attending to me is worse than the other two.
"Not for you ma'am. Do you think you can afford it?" She looks at me like a fly, the same way Andrè used to look at me and that just fuels my anger.
I whip out my phone from my bag and call Eve.
"Fire the three girls at the reception desk of the Hotel tonight. I want them changed in the next minute." I bark into the phone and end the call
The three girls look at me shocked and the one attending to me just stands there with her mouth agape.
Almost immediately, the Hotel Director appears and bows immediately he sees me. He asks security to throw the girls out.
