Right at the entrance into the venue, there's a flower archway. It's obviously done with a woman's beautiful touch.
And by the flowers stand two men in black suits with earpods in their ears. They scream bouncers. They hold hands at us and tell us to stop.
"It's strictly by invitation. Gentlemen, where are yours?"
Aaron dips his hands into his tuxedo and brings out his invitation. He is let in and it's my turn.
"Where's yours sir?"
"He just showed you." I answer them arrogantly
Who are they to hold me back with those hands? I give them a disgusted look.
"Where is your invitation card sir? You don't want to be thrown out" The bouncer on the left says, loudly and not so nicely
So I'm a party crasher now?
"Chill men. He's with me." Aaron speaks for me
I was just about to lash out at them and leave
They both give me a once-over and let me into the party.
Forget that the archway is beautiful, I'm going to be teaching the host a lesson. One he or she won't ever forget.

Damn them.
I am still fuming when Aaron bumps me in the waist.
"I found my target for tonight."
"Obviously a woman. Who is it this time?"
"Over there. In red."
I turn to look there and I see why Aaron has his eyes on her.
At least from the back as I can see, she has a stunning body. Seems to have all the right curves in the right places.
Her hair is packed up in a rough bun with a few hair tendrils falling down the side of her face, accentuating the sharp curves of her face. She is in a red dinner gown with a low back and sleeveless.
It's a cool night so I understand.
Then she turns around.

"Are you sure it's her you're referring to?" I ask Aaron who still has his eyes fixated on her
"Yes. She's so enchanting and mysterious. You know that's exactly my type." He glances at me and winks at me
"Well, sorry to burst your bubble but she's probably here to find herself a sugar daddy. Or anybody who can support her lifestyle."
He scrunches up his face and turns to look at me.
"What makes you say that?"
"She's my ex-wife. And one thing she loves, is money." I explain with my usual bored and uninterested face
He looks at me, back to her and back to me again.
"Did you give her four billion for alimony then?"
"What? 4 Billion? Am I crazy? As a matter of fact, she was too ashamed to take anything from me." I gloat
"Well, she bought this entire compound from me for four billion. You have even forgotten this Mansion belonged to me."
"It belonged to you? You didn't tell me? I've wanted to come here in forever."
"You never had time to visit. And your ex-wife bought the entire place from me just a few days ago."
4 Billion? That's a huge amount.
Where did Akeelah come across that kind of money?
And where did her sudden wealth come from?
This woman continues to amaze me.
