Chapter 43:
The Asgard Treasury was known for being super secure, with guards patrolling and a magically protected door that ordinary people couldn't open.
Inside, there was a powerful guardian called the Destroyer, making it one of the most heavily guarded places in Asgard.
But Loki's mischief had drawn the guards away to fight the Frost Giants, and Loki had sent the Destroyer to Earth. This allowed Mark to temporarily capture the Destroyer using a weaker version of the Chibaku Tensei technique.
Now, about that magically protected door...
Just kidding.
Could a door really stop a Minecraft player?
When Mark realized he couldn't open the door, he simply had Steve dig a tunnel next to it.
With a Silk Touch pickaxe, Mark could remove and replace blocks without causing any damage. He had promised Frigga that he wouldn't destroy anything in the treasury.
Asgard was basically a modder's paradise for Mark.
As soon as he stepped into the treasury, his mind was flooded with system notifications.

[System Prompt: New mod features detected, granting research and download permissions.]
...
The constant alerts echoed in Mark's mind, urging him to act quickly.
Seeing this, Mark dropped all pretense of politeness.
He already had access, so it was time to start exploring and experimenting.
"Let's see..."
Mark casually strolled through the treasury, examining and picking up every treasure he came across.
Some items were replicas, like the prototype of the Infinity Gauntlet with a few gemstones embedded in it. It was believed that even in his younger days, Odin had thought about collecting the Infinity Stones.
Mark guessed that when Odin got the Soul Stone, he understood the importance of love and peace through the sacrifice of his loved one, which led to his rebellion against Hela.
That's why Odin hid the Tesseract on Earth, specifically in Norway.
Anyway, the treasury was full of amazing things. By touching various strange stones and bottles, Mark unlocked about seventy-five percent of the mod permissions.
Finally, when he reached out and touched the Eternal Flame, the notification he was waiting for finally came.
[System Prompt: Acquired the 'Intense' attribute of the 'Eternal Flame'; you have obtained 25% of the download permissions for the new mod.]
[System Prompt: Acquired the attributes 'Frigid,' 'Intense,' 'Storm,' and 'Geomechanics'; you have obtained the download permission for a new mod.]
[System Prompt: Download of the Thermal Expansion mod initiated.]
"...Huh?"
Mark was surprised when he heard the system's announcement. "Thermal Expansion? Are you serious?"
He had heard of the Thermal Expansion mod before. He vaguely remembered it being used for building machines, a so-called tech mod. But Mark wasn't interested in building machines, so he didn't know much about it.
All he knew was that some influential industrialists jokingly called it a preschool tech tool mod.
Mark couldn't believe that in a magical place like Asgard, he would find four artifacts in a row, only to end up with a tech-focused module.
He would have even preferred a module about plant magic!
"Well, at least I can get a lucky block out of it."
Taking a deep breath, Mark decided not to let this disappointing module get him down. "There's so much cool stuff here. I'll just touch a few more things. Even if I just get a lucky block, it'll be worth it."
With that in mind, Mark continued to explore the treasury.
After touching various strange objects, he successfully unlocked another module.
[System Prompt: You have mastered the attributes of 'Bloody Mary,' 'Nature's Blessing,' 'Thunderclap,' 'Fiery Flames,' 'Holy Shield,' 'Devil's Power,' and more. You have obtained download permission for a new module.]
[System Prompt: Download of the Tinker's Construct Expansion Module has begun.]
"Hmm?"
Mark finally breathed a sigh of relief.
Compared to that weird tech module, at least he understood the Tinker's Construct expansion module. After all, the Tinker's Construct guide had explained everything clearly.
As long as there was a good tutorial, Mark could follow it, even if he wasn't that interested in crafting.
With the Tinker's Construct expansion module unlocked, Mark was basically done with the treasury. There wasn't much left to discover.
But just as Mark was about to leave, something suddenly occurred to him.
"Hmm? Wait a minute..."
He instinctively looked down at the ground, remembering the scene from Thor: Ragnarok where Hela smashed the floor. "There's something down there, right?"
Mark focused, and Steve took out a pickaxe and started digging.
Soon, they had dug a one-meter square hole, and Mark jumped in.
This underground space was much larger than the treasury above, feeling like a tomb or something similar, maybe built by Odin or Hela.
In the center, a bunch of Asgardian warriors' bones lay silent, as if waiting to be resurrected someday. Not far away, a giant stone coffin held the motionless form of Fenrir, a massive wolf as tall as a two-story building, its empty eye sockets showing it was lifeless.
Mark's eyes were immediately drawn to the giant wolf.
It was Fenrir, the wolf from Norse mythology.
Without hesitation, he walked over to Fenrir and reached out to touch it, hoping to trigger a new module.
Even though Fenrir looked scary, it was still just a wolf, and to Mark's surprise, it didn't feel unpleasant to touch. But to his disappointment, there didn't seem to be a new module associated with Fenrir.
Not wanting to give up, Mark turned his attention to the bodies of the Asgardian soldiers.
But even after touching the corpses, he got nothing.
Just as Mark was about to give up, he accidentally touched the weapons these soldiers were carrying, and suddenly, a system notification sounded.
[System Prompt: You have studied the structure of the 'Asgardian Spear.' You have
obtained 12% of the download permissions for a new module.]
