Chapter 44:
The prompt immediately grabbed Mark's attention, and he looked down curiously.
Among the fallen Asgardian soldiers, one corpse stood out. While the others were holding swords, this one was gripping a spear.
Mark had tried interacting with the swords earlier, but nothing happened.
After thinking for a moment, Mark started examining the bodies of the Asgardian soldiers.
It didn't take long for him to find another soldier holding a battle axe. Wanting to test his theory, Mark reached down and touched the weapon.
Instantly, an electronic sound rang in his ears.

Mark realized what was going on.
He continued searching among the fallen soldiers, carefully touching any new weapons he found. Soon, the system's voice announced another discovery.

With the new module acquired, Mark left the underground space feeling satisfied.
Steve's ability was incredibly useful. He had carefully collected and replaced the excavated blocks, leaving no trace of their digging.
As Mark left the Asgard treasury, the commotion caused by the Frost Giants had died down.
This was the Asgardians' home turf, after all, and the Frost Giants were no match for the powerful Asgardian warriors.
Taking advantage of the lull in the fighting, Mark skillfully wielded the Hellish Cleaver, killing two Frost Giants and pretending to help out.
But just as the last of the Frost Giants were defeated and the Asgardian warriors breathed a collective sigh of relief, a chilling roar echoed from a distance. Suddenly, a brilliant light filled half the sky above Asgard, startling everyone. All eyes turned towards the source of the commotion.
They saw the Bifrost Bridge palace spinning rapidly.
Normally, the Bifrost Bridge would activate briefly, creating a space-time tunnel that allowed people to travel to other planets via a beam of light.
But if the Bifrost Bridge stayed active, the powerful energy beam would continuously bombard the surface of other planets.
Over time, this energy could break through a planet's crust and shatter its core, turning the Bifrost Bridge into a weapon of mass destruction capable of destroying entire worlds.
Loki knew this in the original story, so he used the ancient Winter Casket to freeze the Bifrost Bridge in its active state, intending to destroy Jotunheim.
But that was the original plot.
Now, did Loki even have the ancient Winter Casket?
Mark had just been studying that artifact a moment ago, even unlocking a Thermal Expansion module from it. So how was Loki keeping the Bifrost Bridge active?
These questions intrigued Mark.
He flew straight towards the Bifrost Bridge.
Although the Ender Hand couldn't control living beings, Mark simply used his sword and rode it like a flying vehicle. He quickly reached the Bifrost Bridge.
The nearby teleportation gate spun wildly, giving off an eerie aura.
From the top of the gate, an incredible beam of energy shot into the void, undoubtedly connecting to Jotunheim through a spacetime tunnel.
Meanwhile, Thor and Loki...
The two brothers were locked in a dramatic sibling rivalry.
While Loki was clearly no match for Thor, the latter seemed injured, clutching his lower back as he dodged Loki's attacks with a small knife.
"I never wanted the throne!"
Gritting his teeth, Loki stabbed at Thor, shouting, "I just want to be treated the same as you!"
"This is foolish, Loki!"
Thor stepped back. "I know everything is my fault, little brother. Can't you..."
"Who's your little brother?"
Loki became even more agitated. But before he could finish his sentence, a sudden gust of wind blew, and a door-like blade flew towards him.
Startled, Loki quickly ducked, covering his head in a pathetic display.
The blade narrowly missed his scalp, hitting the teleportation gate behind him. It struck something with a loud bang, and the object burst into flames.
"Oh..."
Mark, who had just arrived, was momentarily stunned.
"..."
Thor turned his head and glanced at Mark.
"Cough, it's nothing." Mark coughed awkwardly, changing the subject. "By the way, what's going on with you? You got your powers back, right? Can't you even beat Loki?"
"He ambushed me."
Thor wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed, and he immediately fell for Mark's misleading question. "I was trying to reason with him, but he stole Heimdall's sword and activated the Bifrost Bridge. I got stabbed trying to save Heimdall."
"Did he stab you in the back?"
Noticing Thor's pained expression and how he was holding his lower back, Mark couldn't resist making a sarcastic comment. "Do you think Loki is jealous of Jane Foster? Why else would he keep attacking you from behind?"
"Huh?" Thor was taken aback. But in the next moment, there was a sudden jolt behind him, and more bursts of fire erupted from the teleportation area, indicating some kind of overload.
Thor realized he couldn't waste any more time.
He wanted to get Heimdall's sword back from the teleportation area, but Loki's interference had filled the place with chaotic energy currents, making it impossible to reach.
After hesitating, Thor made up his mind and raised his mighty hammer, Mjolnir, high in the air.
But just then, someone grabbed his wrist.
Confused, Thor turned to find Mark holding him back. Realizing the urgency, Thor tried to explain to Mark that they needed to destroy the Bifrost Bridge immediately.
Before Thor could speak, Mark interrupted.
"So, you want to destroy the Bifrost Bridge. But honestly, your Mjolnir isn't the right tool for the job." Mark smiled faintly, and Steve, holding a pickaxe, appeared behind h
im.
"Step aside and let the professionals handle this."
