Chapter 49 - Chapter 49

Chapter 49:

"Holy cow!!!"

Mark was ecstatic when he saw the black and purple ring in Steve's hand.

It was the legendary Void Ring, a top-tier artifact from the Equivalent Exchange mod.

Crafted by combining a Black Hole Band, the Gem of Eternal Density, and two Red Matter, this incredible item was even more powerful than its individual parts.

In the game, the Black Hole Band could absorb all sorts of dropped items, and its right-click function could instantly destroy any liquid.

The Gem of Eternal Density, on the other hand, could convert and compress items that Steve was carrying.

Any item with an EMC value {The energy system in Equivalent Exchange uses set EMC values for most items} would be transformed into iron ingots, gold ingots, diamonds, and eventually into the valuable materials of the Equivalent Exchange mod, like Dark Matter and Red Matter.

Both the Black Hole Band and the Gem of Eternal Density could be stored in the player's backpack and in the Alchemy Bag.

With these two items, players would prepare a special Alchemy Bag and go on crazy mining sprees with a Red Matter Hammer or a Catalytic Lens. They never had to worry about running out of inventory space. Everything they collected, whether it was dirt, gravel, cobblestone, coal, gold ingots, lapis lazuli, or even drops from defeated monsters, would be quickly turned into Red Matter.

When they got back home, players would throw all the Red Matter into the Transmutation Table, converting it into EMC values that could be exchanged for any materials they wanted. With enough time, they could empty out the entire underground world.

The Black Hole Band and the Gem of Eternal Density were already super powerful, but the Void Ring was even better.

According to the game's lore, Red Matter was so dense that it could tear apart the fabric of space-time itself.

The Void Ring was created when the player mastered Red Matter, forcefully combining the powers of the Black Hole Band and the Gem of Eternal Density within the End dimension. This gave the ring the incredible ability to control the Void.

It could do more than just absorb, break down, and reconstruct matter. The Void Ring could destroy liquids and even take control of living beings, allowing the wearer to teleport wherever they looked.

Mark never expected to get such an amazing item. His luck seemed unreal.

The Equivalent Exchange mod had a ton of valuable items besides the Transmutation Table, like the Evertide Amulet, Volcanite Amulet, Watch of Flowing Time, Destruction Catalyst, Catalytic Lens, Life Stone, Soul Stone, and a bunch of rings. On a survival server, having any of these items would make the game much easier and could potentially wreak havoc.

But even among all those awesome items, the Void Ring was the best one Mark could have gotten.

Equivalent Exchange was all about "EMC value," and most of its artifacts needed these values to work. But Mark hadn't unlocked the Equivalent Exchange mod yet, so he didn't have the Klein Star, which was needed to store energy, or the Transmutation Table. So how could he get the EMC values he needed to use these artifacts properly?

Luckily, the Void Ring didn't need EMC values. Plus, it had the amazing ability to break down and reconstruct all sorts of things, from cobblestone and rotten flesh to coal, cacti, apples, and wooden planks. Putting the Void Ring into the Alchemy Bag turned the bag into a devouring black hole. Useless junk went in, and valuable resources, including gold, diamonds, Dark Matter, and even Red Matter, came pouring out.

For Mark, being able to turn trash into valuable resources like diamonds was amazing. But the fact that he could also convert items into Red Matter meant he could craft other powerful items, like a Red Matter Pickaxe. This was a game-changer.

Overwhelmed with excitement, Mark thought about how lucky he had been in Asgard. The first Lucky Block had already given him an incredible item. He decided to open another one, eager to see what other treasures he could find.

Once again, a familiar white light flashed, and a shimmering, dazzling sphere that looked like an Ender Pearl appeared.

"Could it be... the Extremely Primordial Pearl?" Mark gasped in disbelief.

He could now craft the Extremely Primordial Pearl himself, since it was part of the Avaritia mod, but the materials needed—End Stone, Ender Pearls, and Neutronium Ingots—were incredibly hard to get. The Extremely Primordial Pearl was a weapon of mass destruction. Its force field was like a collapsing black hole, pulling things in and dealing void damage. Even the Quantum Suit from the Industrial Craft mod couldn't withstand it and would be ripped to shreds.

Seeing the Extremely Primordial Pearl in Steve's hand, Mark felt like he was in heaven, a place of unimaginable wonders. Opening these Lucky Blocks had been incredibly fortunate.

"I'm starting to love this place," Mark confessed, gazing into the distance. He admired the beauty of Asgard, but a sense of worry crept in as he remembered the threat of the fire giant Surtur. "Maybe I should craft a Divine Blade to defeat Hela and save Asgard."

Determined, Mark added the creation of a Divine Grade Sword to his to-do list, believing it would be enough to protect the realm. Filled with excitement, gratitude, and determination, he opened another Lucky Block.

The white light flashed again, and Steve's hand now held a brown wooden segment covered in sharp spikes.

"Thorns?" Mark recognized the item, although compared to the previous two artifacts, it seemed rather ordinary. It was from the Twilight Forest mod.

But Mark was still happy. After all, not every Lucky Block could give him the best prize. And he knew how powerful Thorns could be in the right hands,

so it was far from useless.
