The moment Zaturn saw a glimpse of the pill, he immediately knew what it was. Of course he did. He had also worked his ass off for years just to afford a Miracle drug from the black market.
His Miracle power, Sonic boom, was only an Original-class Miracle drug, which was not good enough to battle against the best, but it was enough against someone from the same class.
This power was not his first choice. He wanted something better, a power that controlled an aspect of nature.
The basic elements; water, fire, ground, and air was one of the strongest powers inside the Original-class Miracle drugs. These were basic powers, but once mastered, could cause untold destruction.
But there were other aspects of nature that were much stronger. There was ice, magnetism, gravity, and others that were all classified under the Unique-class Miracle drugs. These were powers that dominated the Unique class because their powers were naturally occurring.
But even in the Unique class, one of the most powerful and most destructive natural forces was not ice nor gravity. It was lightning.
Therefore what Zaturn was seeing right now could only be the effect of a Unique-class Miracle drug. He saw Rola's body start to produce sparks, as if her skin was creating friction against the air.
But how could that be possible? Rola was a country-bumpkin who had not even seen the outside world. She probably hasn't even stepped foot outside of this town.
How, then, could she have a Unique-class Miracle drug, much less one of the most powerful Unique-class powers out there? How could she have one of the most sought-after powers, powers that even the Krabers would do anything to acquire?
But what he was seeing right now was real, whether he liked it or not. Rola's body continued to produce sparks and buzzes as if she was in the middle of a huge thunderstorm.
He could feel immense Miracle power flowing out of her body, wild and uncontrollable like a hungry lion that had just come out of its cage in decades.
This feeling, the invisible feeling that Miracle powers produce was something only a Miracled could feel. This was how Miracled distinguished how strong each other were. They based it on how intense their Miracle power was leaking out.
Right now, Rola was undergoing a change. Her whole body was changing. Her blood was boiling, her tendons were being stretched and cut, and her bones were being deep-fried under the intense electrical heat produced by the undissolved pill in her body.
After Rola finished absorbing all of the power from the Miracle drug, there were three possibilities. One possibility and the most probable possibility was spontaneous explosion.
That would mean that Rola's body was not able to handle the raw power from the drug, resulting in her whole body exploding. This was the one Zaturn hoped for, but judging from the sparks producing from her body, this possibility would not happen.
The second possibility with the lowest chance of happening, was an exponential growth in raw power. This was one of the rarest cases that can happen, and only geniuses and people with talent have a chance of this happening.
The Miracle drug in their body would explode, but their body would be able to take all of that energy and convert it into their own.
They would get a tremendous power boost, much more than the normal boost that a person gets from consuming a Miracle drug.
One of the symptoms of this happening was the Miracle power building up, like a lit up fuse, ready to explode at any minute. Everyone around them, normal people and Miracled alike, would feel an intense power brewing.
Zaturn's face was filled with fear and trepidation. An Original-class Miracled like him would stand no chance against a Unique-class Miracled. Even if they were newly blessed with power. That was how powerful a Unique-class power was.
Rola's power continued to build and build until they all felt a tingly sensation in their skin, like tiny strands of electricity playing the game of 'catch me if you can' with their body.
Zaturn stepped back. He was getting ready to escape as soon as possible. He didn't want to wait until a new powerhouse was born right under his nose.
But the build-up came to a climax. It was too late, Zaturn thought. He quickly bent down on his knees and covered his face, expecting an explosion of pure Miracle power to come his way.
But nothing happened.
The build up dissipated, sizzling out as the Miracle power in the air started to die down. Zaturn looked at Rola, with her eyes closed and her Miracle power back to nothing. He smiled.
He was lucky. There was a third possibility. The power could build up inside the person's body and explode internally. But this would not explode the body nor would it give tremendous strength.
No. It would only make the person pass out from overexertion. Rola, the only person that could have dealt with him with her power, was out cold laying on the ground.
"HAHAHA!" Zaturn laughed. He was truly lucky this day. He avoided death twice, all because of his luck. The heavens must truly love me, he thought.
Zaturn walked up to Rola with a haughty expression. He hid the fact that he was still afraid that Rola would open her eyes as if this was a horror book.
"You had me worried there. You were the only one who could have defeated me. You have to blame your luck. I won, and it's time for me to reap the rewards."
Zaturn looked down at Rola's unguarded body. The fact that this person, who had the power to kill him, was now lying on the ground helpless, was something that made him more excited.
He was going to enjoy this, he thought.
SPARK
But then, he suddenly heard a familiar spark, an electrical spark similar to the one that Rola produced. He immediately looked down to see if Rola was awake, but she wasn't.
Before he could even process this information, he heard someone speak behind him.
"Who said she's the only one?"
Zaturn turned around to see Caesar, the tiny, feeble, and annoying kid. Except, he was no longer ordinary.
There were blue sparks of lighting all over Caesar's body. It was much more powerful and more intense than the one Rola produced, as if this was the stronger version.
He looked up at Caesar's eyes and saw it lit up with electric lines zipping around his cornea. He looked like a lightning god, in control of his domain with a powerful lightning pet crawling around his body.
"H-how is this possible…" was the only words Zaturn could muster.
Everyone knew how hard it was to obtain a Unique-class Miracle drug. Not even the Krabers could acquire one at any time they wanted. They could throw all of their money around, and they still would not get a single Unique-class drug if they were not lucky.
One of the most defining characteristics of a Unique-class Miracle drug was its uniqueness. It was said that a single drug of this class would only have a handful of duplicates all around the world.
Needless to say, it was basically impossible to find the same Unique-class Miracle drug. You would have to scour the entire world to find it, if it isn't already consumed by others or lost in the big wide world.
Now, Zaturn was supposed to believe that one of the most powerful Unique-class Miracle drugs was consumed by not only Rola, but also Caesar?
This was beyond the realms of logic. The odds of this happening were slim to none. It would be more probable for pigs to fly before this would happen. Yet it did.
"Surprised?" Caesar said, familiarizing himself with his lightning powers by tossing around a lighting bolt from his hands.
"This can't be happening!" he would have accepted his fate if he was up against the Krabers who had the financial backing, but he was up against a bunch of nobodies.
Zaturn opened up his mouth and released his most powerful sonic attack yet. This was the perfect shot as Caesar was in mid-range, and he wouldn't be able to dodge out of this one.
But Caesar didn't even flinch. He looked at the Zaturn with a look of ridicule.
Zaturn saw this and his anger rose up to another level. He charged up his sonic power more, building it up in his throat. This was dangerous, but he had to do this to destroy Caesar once and for all.
And Caesar stood still. He let him prepare.
"DIEEE!" Zaturn screamed as he bellowed out a low-pitched scream that sent visible shockwaves in the air. If Caesar was hit with this, his body would instantly disintegrate.
Caesar smiled, and the lighting around his body started to zip around more and more, like they were agitated. A millisecond later, Caesar was no longer in Zaturn's sight.
Zaturn felt a chill in his body as he heard sparks behind him. He didn't dare look back.
"Since you'll die, let me tell you a story…" Caesar said as he whispered into Zaturn's ears.
Whatever Zaturn heard took the redness out of his blood. His face immediately became pale as if he was a ghost. He looked back at Caesar with a horrified face.
"You…all this time…No! Don't do this! Kopra, stop or else the Capo gang will–"
Caesar didn't let him finish his sentence as he shot a lightning bolt out of his hands and onto the despairing Zaturn. His whole body was immediately electrocuted, with his internal organs burnt into smithereens.
His body was still wet with vinegar, a liquid conductive to electricity.
