A desert eagle pistol was pointed directly at Caesar's forehead. This thing packed enough punch to shatter Caesar's head like a watermelon.
"But I won't do it. This is way too easy, and I am not planning to give you mercy," Boban said as he holstered the gun back at his own stomach.
"Don't lie, Boban. You only consumed that Miracle drug so you could fit more junk food in your stomach," Caesar ridiculed.
Boban's face immediately turned sour as Caesar's teasing even garnered a few snickers from the Capo gang's Miracled. He could not believe that Caesar still had the audacity to make fun of him.
This was supposed to be the time when he would be cowering in fear. He should be begging for his life, crying and sobbing to let him go, Boban thought.
It was 6 against 1. And those 6 were Miracled while Caesar was only a normal human without any powers. No matter how strong he was physically and no matter how good he was at fighting, there was no way he could defeat all of them.
So, why then did it seem like this was just a normal day in Caesar's life. Why did he seem completely confident that he would come out of this unscatheed?
Forget it, Boban told himself. This was just a mind trick that Caesar was trying to pull to get even a little bit of advantage in this situation. If I don't believe him, then his tricks won't work.
"You need to be taught a lesson!" Boban said as he raised his hand and slapped Caesar.
But Boban's hands transformed into something more flat and bigger. His hand looked more like a frying pan rather than a hand. This was his power. He can consume and transform a part of his body into that item.
His stomach was filled with weapons and his favorite torturing items that he borrowed from his dungeon. He would use this to make Caesar plead for his life, then and only then would he kill Caesar.
SMACK
Boban's slap landed right smack in the middle of Caesar's cheeks. It sent Caesar's body floundering to the side as if he was a ragdoll.
Even Boban was surprised that his slap landed. He thought that Caesar would try and dodge his attack at the very least, but the kid didn't even look at his slapping hand as if he didn't see it.
"HAHAHA!" Boban laughed. There was only one reason why this was happening. He was finally stronger than Caesar.
He had always heard about a radical change in the physical abilities of whoever consumed a Miracle drug, but he didn't think it would be this huge of a jump.
As an obese person, his physical abilites were even worse than teenagers. But thanks to this Miracle drug, Caesar's reaction didn't even recognize my slap before it hit him like a mallet, Boban thought.
The five Miracled in the back watched Caesar get slapped like he was a paper mache.
"I thought he was strong. I thought I sensed Miracle power from him, but he's not even exuding a pinch of it right now," the man with the many eyes said.
"It's only natural. There's no way someone younger than me would be strong," the goth-man uttered.
"Damn! I wanted to move my body after fighting that electric girl. Why do we even have to be here?" the barbaric girl with the 1 tonne mallet said.
"We are here because this guy was a part of the group that killed Zaturn. He was one of the culprits who set our club on fire. Do you remember what I taught you?" Kopra said with a stern voice, as if he was a parent criticizing his children.
The four Miracled shuddered.
"Suppress anyone who defies us. If we show even one window of weakness, the vultures around us will sweep down and kill us all. That's why we'll use the full extent of our power even when dealing with a normal human."
Those were the words that Kopra taught them from a while ago. If Zaturn had followed this rule, he wouldn't have died. He got killed because he didn't use the full extent of the Capo gang's powers.
"Okay, Boss. I get it. I'll rough him up!" she said as she ran towards Caesar and swung her mallet at him.
The barbaric girl was instructed to injure him, not kill him. The whole point of this plan was to torture Caesar and get his ingredients for the pure Joy. Dead men don't talk.
But the barbaric woman was bored. She wanted to fight, especially when the electric girl got her gears going. She wanted to assure herself that she could defeat anyone.
So, when she swung her mallet, she swung it with the intention of killing Caesar. Her back muscles tensed up as she used all of her physical powers to smash Caesar's head into smithereens.
If he was hiding his powers, he would subconsciously use this power to save himself, she thought. Nobody was willing to die just to keep their power a secret.
The black 1 tonne mallet swung directly towards Caesar's head. It continued with such force and velocity that it would be too late to change it. Caesar would die.
But Caesar didn't move. His injured head only looked downcast, as if he had accepted his fate. Even when the mallet could rip his head away from his neck, he still didn't dodge. He didn't even look up.
Come on show me, the barbaric girl thought. But nothing changed. The mallet touched Caesar's head but he still didn't do anything.
This is bad, she panicked. He will die from this.
So she changed the weight of the mallet into something almost weightless. But the change came too late and Caesar was still hit with the 1 tonne weight.
Caesar's body was thrown up, like he was just given an uppercut from the world's greatest boxer. But thankfully, his head was still intact. He'll only suffer a little bit of brain injury, but he won't die.
He was now just barely clinging to life. His jaw was shattered, blood was oozing from his ears, and he could barely even open his eyes from his inflamed cheekbones. He was in a state just before death.
"He's really just a normal person!" she exclaimed.
"That's enough. You were trying to kill him," Kopra shouted. "Get the recipe first before you kill him.
The barbaric girl walked up to Caesar and saw that he was out cold. She tried kicking him, but his muscles didn't even reflexively protect himself. If it weren't for the slight heave of his chest, she would have thought that he died.
"Hey kid, tell me the recipe and we can kill you without pain, without further pain."
Caesar slightly opened his eyes, but he didn't say anything. He just looked at her.
"Come on, kid. This is not worth your life!" she kicked him again in frustration, and Caesar coughed up blood.
"Hey! Only I get to torture him! I will get you the recipe, just let me do my work!" Boban snapped. He was afraid that Caesar would die before he exacted his revenge.
"If physical pain won't do you in, how about some emotional pain?" Boban took another thing out of his stomach. This time, it was something small, just a little bit bigger than a fingernail.
"Do you remember this? This is your own bomb–the bomb that you planted in my house! And I used it against you in the carriage. How does it feel, Caesar? To get a taste of your own medicine!"
Caesar opened his eyes and saw his own bomb in Boban's hands. It was the same bomb that he planted.
"And to make things better, I have already moved all my treasures away from my mansion. Even if you don't give me the bomb locations, I would still keep my money. Why do you think I got the courage to kill you?"
Caesar smiled. He already knew about the relocation of Boban's treasures from his double-agents, Boban's bodyguards. But that was not the reason why he smiled.
Caesar smiled because every winning condition that he wanted was finally fulfilled. Now was the time to attack.
Caesar quickly made a grab for the bomb in Boban's hands. Boban was caught off guard. Caesar's movements were too fast for his eyes to see, and all he could process was a blur.
Caesar hid his strength for this exact moment. He swiped the little bomb from Boban's hands with ease. And without any hesitation, Caesar threw the bomb behind Boban, towards the 5 Miracled.
By the time this happened, Boban finally got ahold of himself. He looked back and shouted a warning for the 5 Miracled.
"Look out! That's a bomb! Don't let it touch the ground or it will kill all of you!" Boban shouted.
Although Caesar's strength was high enough to throw the bomb at high speeds, it was still not enough to catch the Miracled off guard.
Just as the bomb was going to collide with the woman-chef, a black shadow underneath her feet suddenly sprang up into action and caught the bomb in its 'hands.'
The bomb gently landed on the shadow hand, which was decelerated enough for it to not explode.
Boban heaved a sigh of relief. He was going to ridicule Caesar for his pathetic attempt to kill the Miracled when he finally noticed something weird.
The bomb's color had changed. The original bomb was colored brown, but the one that Caesar threw and landed in the shadow was colored green. A bad feeling came up in Boban's stomach.
Caesar smiled. At the same time, the bomb exploded–but this was not a strong explosion nor one that was accompanied by high pressure and extreme heat.
No, the bomb released a green powder that spread like smoke. The person that was closest to the bomb, the woman-chef, could not help but exhale the powder.
COUGH
She immediately started coughing blood. As a healer, she knew she was fucked. She was poisoned.
