As Kaito walked to the edges of the heavens, he looked around the empty area. He never descended to earth that much, only a few times. He saw a void under the skinny clouds. Tenshi tapped on his shoulder. "I believe that you'll succeed. Besides, demons are weaker than gods. I'm sure you'll destroy that beast and send it back to the depths of hell." Tenshi reassured. He put his other hand out in the air. It was an awkward silence after his statement. "Well then, I'll be going now." Kaito said as he releases out of Tenshi's hands.
Tenshi smiled like a proud parent.
Kaito jumped down the endless void as he looked above, everything falling away from him. His long brown hair, floating up in the sky. He closed his eyes, and smiled. He was going down at such speed. He could feel the air gushing upwards. Kaito let out a quick breath, then he looked down at the huge-sized sphere. He could see the oceans and the lands. He quickly looked up again, and furthermore closed his eyes. Waiting for him to land.
He then crashed in the middle of a temple. He didn't feel any pain but he did feel the hard floor right below him. People looked in shock. The temple he landed in was his temple, made by an emperor long ago. He opened his eyes, and saw the bright blue sky. As he looked around, he saw a statue, made in honor for him. "Is this.. my temple?" Kaito stood up.
There was a lady with tears running down her chin, she looked shocked. "Is it the god of water, Kaito?" She ran to the god and hugged him hard. "Are you here to save us?" She cried in his garments profusely. Kaito answered, "Don't worry, I'll go and defeat whatever is threatening this world." The lady smiled in happiness. She then let go of Kaito's garment and ran with tears following her path.
Kaito stood there, shook. The other people in the temple ran with the lady. "I don't know if they're happy, scared, or just shocked." Kaito questioned.
Kaito scurried out of the temple to look for the terrorizing demon. He looked through fields, lands, and villages all across Japan.
"Why didn't I ask them about where the demon was murdering people?" Kaito sighed in regret. He was in the middle of a suspiciously quiet town. Not really what you call 'peaceful', rather odd. "Hello? Anybody?" Kaito yelled. He was pretty concerned. The village was near the temple he landed on, but he didn't seem to find it for whatever circumstance at the time. Kaito looked through the awfully uncanny village. He peaked through windows and saw mortals shaking in fear. It was also nighttime. Kaito didn't know why they were awake.
"This is extremely weird." He muttered to himself once more.
Kaito walked across the village, looking for anything out of the ordinary. Just by seeing at how strange this village was, gave him goosebumps up on his spine. A god getting goosebumps was of course, the least godly thing any heavenly deity would experience.
The water god saw a shadow beneath walls. A very suspicious one indeed. He quietly tip-toed to get a better view of it. He took slow breaths. The supposed 'shadow' became clearer to him. It wasn't no shadow... It was a demon!
It was a dark-looking demon that lurked through the village. It was big and had many scales. It could be comparable to a mini-size dinosaur. It had extremely sharp teeth, and nails sharper than blades. It was no ordinary demon. Probably one of the supreme. It stared at the deity with eyes of a serial killer. Kaito gazed back. He took some steps backward as the monster stepped forward.
"I'm going to devour you next, god of the waters and oceans" The monster slurped loudly.
"Well let's see then, I'll be the one to devour you with my sword first ." Kaito responded .
They both stared at each other, ready to kill. Kaito knew that no demon would be stronger than him. Supreme or not. His eyes were glowing with blue. He was in some sort of 'battle mode'. He took out his sword, it had a sparkling light cyan handle, same color as his kimono, and golden edges. He pointed it at the demon, and commenced the fight.
The demon used it's hands to smack the god. Of course, he dodged it. Kaito stabbed the monster in the back, sprinkling blood. It gave the demon an unregenerable wound. The special sword, when pierced, blocked any regeneration from happening. Kaito smiled with confidence. But he knew that he wouldn't be able to bring the beast back to hell. He was only going to either distract it or knock it out until the god of death came.
It was a long battle, the god suffered some minor wounds but it would heal on its own. "You're just a lonesome demon, I'll be sure to rip you apart and send you back to where you came from!" Kaito stated.
The demon had several scars on it's back and couldn't really move quite well. But it still ravaged on. Kaito also knew that this would be a bit of a nuisance. Keeping the demon from the others would still be kind of challenging.
"Everyone! Get out of here!" He screamed to the ones remaining. "You aren't going to survive in the midst of this battle! You should flee far from here! There are shelters beyond Yukachi Hill!"
The remaining individuals ran with screams and shouts. The demon looked back and tried to chase them. "Hey, you aren't going anywhere. This is our battle, we must finish it." Kaito leaped. He slashed onto the demon as the monster attempted to scratch off his head. Kaito was still smiling with confidence. "You're going to lose either ways, so I suggest you should give up trying. It'll be much easier for me." Kaito slashed again.
The demon collapsed after receiving dozens of scars and strikes. "You really aren't all the strong, aren't you?" Kaito stared at the fallen enemy. Kaito healed his wounds and waited patiently for the god of death to come.
"I wonder when he will descend." Kaito mumbled. "I never knew why he was so despised. I didn't even know him as a living being before the meeting. The only thing I heard was just his name, 'Shinjiro'. What did he do? What made him this way? Why did people hate him so much? Just so many unanswered questions.."
Kaito heard footsteps behind him. Someone grabbed his shoulder. Who was this person?
