Alpha Mark led her along the corridor till they reached a staircase, then stairs up and to the left. The first door on the left was his office as the door sign informed and they both went in.
His office was quite big but very plain, with a desk, a few shelves, two gray couches and a small coffee table between them. She noticed a paper mess on the desk as well as some child photos. There was one big window and the walls were white. Bare and uninviting.
"Sit." He pointed in the direction of the couch.
Opal sat down covering herself with the jacket as best as she could. She felt uncomfortable. She hated his presence as well as the fact that her outfit was rather skimpy. Alpha Mark must have noticed that and threw in her direction a T-shirt he had taken out of a bag next to the desk and turned around.
"You can wear it."
Opal Put the T-shirt on, it was clean but it had his smell. This piece of clothing was big enough to look like a dress on her.
For a moment Mark looked at the Omega without words, but then sighed heavily and sat down.
"What's going on with you today? First you are challenging me, then that young warrior."
"Sir, I'm sorry for the inconvenience caused. It won't happen again. So much I can swear." Opal gave the reply trying to make her expression indifferent.
"Stop it Opal. Answer my question. The truth, Omega." His tone was firm and so was his countenance.
"The truth, well Tom has beaten me a few days back and today he stopped me while I was about to go home. He was pushy and rude. He threatened to give me a lesson. I got pissed and fought back." Opal looked him straight in his amber eyes.
"Why haven't you told me about this?" he frowned.
"Why should I? It's not the first time I'm walking around with a bruised face. Till now nobody cared. Neither did you sir." Opal leaned forward. "The truth is I hate the way I was forced to live, I hate this place, I hate these people who look down on me for no reason." Opal felt like all the anger she had suppressed inside her was now overflowing, and there was nothing she could do anymore. It was like a huge dam had been broken. "Wolves are pack members and not many want to be alone however I was unwillingly living separated from all of you. I always had to deal with bullies, loneliness and fear." She stopped for a moment, she had to collect herself or else she will be a crying mess. Alpha Mark reached his hand for her as if he wanted to comfort her. Opal leaned back.
"I'm a big girl now, I need nobody to defend me." She straightened her chin up. "As you have seen I have my ways to prevent others from hurting me, if I want to."
"I've seen it, I must admit it was impressive. In my whole life I have seen only one person who could do that. Ryer was a great hunter and warrior."
"He trained me." Opal mentioned it proudly. "He taught me everything about hunting."
"I'm impressed." He folded his hands. "I understand it was hard for you to live like that yet can be changed. You can become a legal pack member. I'll see to it"
His reassuring look and faked generosity creeped her out.
"No need, I don't want to be in debt to someone I hate the most." Fuck she said it, she said it loud and clear. She held his gaze breathing in and out steadily.
He looked surprised, shocked and then angry. He gritted his teeth and then his full wave of pheromones hit her along with his words.
"You hate me most? Because of treachery your dear mother and father committed so many pack members died in the fight along with my own parents." He raised himself from the opposite couch and was now towering over her.
"That is why you have ordered my parents to be executed and sent me with my sick grandma to live a miserable life in a hut without basic things such as running water or electricity." Opal stood up facing him with all this anger in her eyes and clenching her fists. She was breathing heavily, he was doing it again. Using his pheromones to put her in place. It was way worse than before. Opal was weakened by rush shifting and the whole thing with Tom.
"Stop it, it hurts." She leaned forward against Alpha Mark's chest, unable to resist it anymore. She felt his arms around her as he said quietly next to her ear.
"Your life could be easier and so much better if you were an obedient Omega and followed your pack's Alpha." Having said that he lowered his face and kissed Opal. She was so shocked that it took her awhile to realize his tongue forcing its way into her mouth as his hand was entangled in her hair. She pushed him back and instantly hit the couch behind her. She was scared and confused. Opal managed to get up quickly and run straight to the door. Alpha Mark didn't follow her, he remained in place as she slammed the door behind her. Opal felt tears rolling down her cheeks. She wiped them and stormed out of the pack's house to meet curious looks of the few people remaining there.
Jayden saw Opal rushing out in distress, wearing another Alpha's T- shirt, bare foot and covered by Mark's pheromones. Something in him was howling, his Mate looked so fragile, so vulnerable. He walked up to her.
"Come here Opal, I'll give you a ride home." He said calmly. She turned her head at him, she was visibly in deep shock.
"What happened, Opal." Jayden asked worriedly, trying to catch her hand.
She backed off.
"Don't touch me you fucking Alpha, none of you." She turned around and then shifted leaving a torn T- shirt behind.
Alpha Mark couldn't move for a moment. What has he done?! That Omega was a child barely eighteen. Was he so pent up? Fuck, he actually kissed her, he would go even further feeling the hardness in his pants. He sat down covering his face in his hands. That Omega was a pain in the ass, he watched her growing and changing from a child into a beautiful woman. Recently he hated her and couldn't stop thinking about what if. She has woken up the worst part of him, he wanted to dominate that Omega. Maybe it's good she was leaving, it would be for the better, both for him and her.
