Chapter 6 - THINGS WERE GETTING REALLY CREEPY

One of the girls stepped out and with hands crossed and a vicious look on her face, she eyed Rainé from head to toe as if scanning her. Rainé just stood there as if nailed to the spot as her head was working rapidly in order to devise a plan to get out of this situation.

"I guess innocent looks don't give much lately. Just look at her innocent-like face, who would have thought that she had mastered the art of seduction so well." One of the girls spoke in a jeering tone and the rest of them snickered but stopped suddenly as if their little laughter was fake. Their faces turned frigid in an instant as they continued glaring at Rainé as if they were trying to pry holes into her soul.

Rainé didn't utter a single word, she was about to come up with something when all of a sudden, she felt that surging pain in her chest again.

She clutched her fists tightly and her eyes closed shut as she cringed lightly.

'No, not now... this cannot happen now.' Her breathing became rapid in an instant and she felt like all the air was being forced out of her lungs. That pain she felt every night, that pain that knocked her senseless with each passing millisecond was resurging deep in her and she felt that her insides were a soon-to-be erupting volcano. She could already feel the hot larva balls spewing up inside her.

The girls just stared at her like she was crazy and then they looked at each other with the same questions popping up in their minds and their earlier actions took a big full stop as they stared at Rainé dumbfoundedly.

"Hey girl, stop pretending, we're not buying it." One of the girls with crimson red hair finally voiced out and the rest of them just nodded their heads rapidly as if trying so hard to believe that Rainé's behavior was just an act of pretense.

Two girls immediately held Rainé's arms and then quickly hurled her out of the restaurant before someone caught them. The usually busy streets of X city was quiet today and they could only thank their stars as this was the perfect way for them to carry out their plan.

Shortly afterward, they found a dark alley and they ruthlessly threw her face down on the wet and cold floor. A sharp pain washed through her being as she felt the impact of the cold floor and she hissed sharply. She felt utterly helpless as she couldn't fight back and whatever was happening around her seemed like a little prick from a needle as her whole body had turned numb instantly.

The girl with crimson red hair picked up a stick from the floor and was about to lunge it at her when she stopped momentarily. A huge smile rose to her heavily painted face and she quickly whipped around to face the girls.

One hand was on her waist while the other was gently twirling the stick and the smile on her face grew wider.

"Girls, why don't we destroy her pretty face, huh? Then she wouldn't be able to deceive more handsome men with that innocent face of hers." She asked and the rest of the girls immediately joined her in a huge grin. They were all gloating about their plan when...

Pak! Pak!

They all heard a faint sound like a stone thrown on a zinc roof. Although it was still too early to give wild thoughts still, their hearts began to beat erratically as they all stood frozen to the stop with their eyes widened, almost bulging out of their heads.

Pak! Pak!

There came the sound again and this time they all began to panic but they still couldn't move as they had no clue as to where the sound was coming from. They couldn't see anyone but yet, they were hearing sounds? Things were starting to get really creepy. They looked at the girl on the floor who barely had her eyes open as if she was going to die at any moment and their fear only intensified to the next level.

"Tsk, tsk...such frivolous acts, I hope Karma slaps you all in the face before I do." They all heard a chilling voice coming from behind them and thick beads of sweat immediately formed on their forehead. They all turned in the direction of the voice and their hearts fell into their stomach. They stepped back slowly like frightened rabbits and their bodies shivered involuntarily.

In a distance, they could vividly see a man leisurely sitting with eyes intently staring at them. His light brown hair rested lightly on his forehead and the corner of his lips raised into a faint yet bone-chilling smile.

Their eyes almost bulged out of their sockets when they figured out who he was. It was him. The cause of all their actions.
