Alexandra hugged her legs as she rocked herself back and forth on her favourite chair. She sat alone in her one-bedroom apartment, surrounded by silent darkness as Ella's lifeless eyes haunted her. The eyes that were once so gentle and filled with all the kindness the world had to offer are now cold and void of any form of life.
Her head dropped to her knees as the burning sting in her eyes grew. She knew she did not know the young teenager that well, but one thing was for sure, she did not deserve it. Ella was so young and barely had enough time to enjoy her life and all the wonders this world had to offer.
It only made Alexandra wonder why. Why had Ella decided to work at such a place? What was her story? A sharp pain sliced through her heart as a thought infiltrated her mind;
It was all her fault.
She was the one that told Ella to go, that everything would be okay. She gave her hope, and Diablo took it.
