Lorenzo was a man capable of predicting the unpredictable, he was someone that could easily make up any scenario in his head which made it nearly impossible for him to get surprised or caught off guard. But there were few occasions where he would face challenges he did not expect, but of course, he was nonchalant towards them, it made him appear emotionless.
Maria did not know it, but her words had broken a record.
Did it leave him surprised? Angry? Hurt?
Not even he knew what he was feeling as he stood there on the front lawn, right where Maria left him, the morning sun gracing his stale features with its warmth.
"Enzo?" Sofia's voice infiltrated his ears like a knife to the throat, his left eye twitched unwillingly, "What are you doing standing here? Come inside, I have this cool-"
"I am not in the mood, Sofia," his words left his lips like a corpse leaving the morgue, lifeless.
