"What's his name?"
Those words that left Lorenzo's lips were like a bucket of ice water dumped on Maria's head. Her eyes moved in all directions in some lame attempt to avoid the question, but she couldn't evade his impatient waiting eyes.
Maria released a tired sigh but then, a thought came to her mind, "if what you say is true, then what were you doing with Sofia?" she asked, trying to change the topic, but at the same time, she needed answers.
His words were smooth and direct, "She was admitting her feelings for me, and I guess she got carried away and wanted to try seducing me," the way he said it so easily took Maria off guard.
Maria blinked rapidly, a weird sensation in her chest as she uttered her next words quietly, "And do you have feelings for her?"
