"Maria?" Her name left the bastard's lips making the muscles in Lorenzo's jaw tighten along with his grip on Maria's waist. The way her name left his lips so smoothly, made Lorenzo want to cut off his tongue. But more importantly, how did he know her name?
"It's you," Maria stuttered, blinking severally as though to be sure he was actually here and not just a hallucination. Unfortunately for her, he was.
"I never thought I'd get a chance to see you again after you-"
"Yes, it's a miracle that we are meeting again," the abruptness of Maria's interruption made the devil narrow his eyes, they slid over to Lorenzo who had been watching their exchange silently.
He smiled as he got the hint of what was going on, "Indeed it is," the music started and his eyes became suggestive, "Mind having a dance with me."
This was where Lorenzo stepped in, his voice cold and eyes wild, "Yes, she would."
