"Hehe, so you checking her out too. Pretty hot right." The person behind Druak said as he put his arm on his shoulder.
Druak turned around, swiping the person's hand off his shoulder. "No, I was just wondering who she was." Druak said in an annoyed tone. He felt rather insulted by what the person had said to him.
Now getting a better look at the person Druak could tell that this person was probably a combat oriented mage. He came to this conclusion due to the fact that all the accessories on the person were magic items that increased the strength of casted spells, this also meant that this person was very rich. The boy before Druak was around the same height as him and had brown short spiked hair and as he approached Druak he had a giant grin on his face.
As the boy looked at Druak he then turned his face at the girl Druak was previously looking at and said. "Sureee…. She's way out of your league anyway." The boy then proceeded to smack Druak on the shoulder and approach the red haired girl, striding forward confidently. However just as he stood in front of her, she stared at him, a fiery aura escaping her figure. He suddenly twisted back around and walked away, only able to hold his head down in fear.
"Well, that looks like it went well." Druak said pleased to see this person get karma for what he had just said.
Just as the boy was about to respond Druak had already walked off and was in front of his instructor Arden Adder.
"You humans are so weird. Why'd you let that human insult your status without doing anything." Astra appeared out of thin air and said.
"There's no point in fighting over such things…. I'll never be able to do anything if I fight over every little thing like that." Druak whispered.
Astra pulled a confused face as this kind of insult could start a life and death fight if it happened in her clan. This made Astra more curious about other differences humans had compared to her race so she decided to stay and observe everything that was going on.
Druak tried to ignore the small dragon that was floating around him but occasionally darted his eyes to see what Astra was doing. As was walking he ended up glancing at Astra, causing him to unintentually walk into someone.
*Thud* "Ow! Watch where you're going!" An aggressive voice said.
Before Druak was an enormous hulk of a man that seemed to be a teacher. He was covered in muscles and had curly red hair that went down to his shoulders and was covered in animal skin, probably from some kind of wolf monster.
"Sorry, sir. I wasn't paying attention. Won't happen again." Druak said, bowing his head. Druak didn't want to risk getting on the teacher's bad side so he wanted to resolve the situation quickly and get to his exam.
"Sir. Why did you call me sir, I'm the same age as you." The man said, now bursting into laughter.
Druak tried to hide his surprise but still ended up showing it, as his eyes had widened significantly.
"My apologies. I didn't mean to mistake you for a teacher…."Druak stopped speaking as he tried to think of a way to change the topic. "So what's your name and which class do you plan on taking."
Trying to control his laughter, the large man held his chest and whipped a tear from his eye. He then proceeded to stand up straight and put his hand on his chest, which was the traditional salute of most kingdoms. "My name is Oscar. Oscar Hound and I'm going to join the combat class." Oscar said, resolved to be admitted into the academy.
"Well, it's a pleasure to meet you." Druak responded, unintentionally extending his hand out almost as if as a sign of respect. Druak knew this name, it was the name of a great knight that died in his past life. Druak didn't know much about him but every story he heard about Oscar was admirable, so this was the least amount of respect he could give after meeting him.
Oscar seemed rather confused at Druaks actions but still extended his hand to shake Druaks. "So what's your name." Oscar asked with a smile on his face.
"Oh yeah forgot to say. I'm Druak nice to meet you." He responded with a smile.
Both of them seemed to get along rather well and continued speaking as they waited for Ardin Adder. It seemed as though they would be on the same team, which Druak was pleased with as he already knew what kind of person Oscar was. However he also remained slightly untrustworthy as there might have been some kind of lies speak in his past life about Oscar's bravery.
30 minutes later
As Druak was speaking to Oscar, he heard the voice of his examiner.
"It's a pleasure to meet all of you. I will be your examiner for this test." As he said those words he began to approach the 2 female students and grab their hands. Ardin seemed to be more interested in the female students, rather than the actual exam. The female students started blushing as Ardin was quite handsome and was also a very renowned noble.
Oscar however was not very happy about this and showed it by shouting."Disgusting. A 60 year old man trying to flirt with teenagers." Due to his high stage his appearance looked barely over 20 , causing many to mistake him for a mage that was much younger.
These words coursed Ardins face to turn bright red in anger. He hated when people spoke about his age and tried to hide it from the public using his family's power. This was due to him being known for flirting with his students.
As Ardin turned around and stared at Oscar his face lost its colour and he said. " Oh, it's Sir Oscar Hound, my apologies for not noticing you. It's a pleasure to have such a high ranked noble in my group. I look forward to seeing your results." Ardin's entire aura changed from one of pride and anger to one of submissive and docile.
'It seems Oscar's a high ranking noble. Guess that makes sense with how well he did in my past life.'
Druak wasn't bothered much about the ranks of nobles and only really cared about their actions. In his past life, he had seen both good and bad nobles so he knew that he couldn't judge them just because they were nobles, this didn't mean that he liked nobles. He just knew that if he met one he wouldn't automatically hate them.
"Can you just start already." Oscar said in an annoyed tone.
"Yes, sorry my apologies."Ardin said, glancing at Druak who was next to Oscar. He didn't respond much so Druak assumed that nothing was said about him. Sighing in relief Druak walked to the side and sat on the floor, crossing his legs to listen to Ardin's explanation of the exam.
