Druaks eyes fluttered open. His body was in so much pain that he could help but wince, this was almost as bad as when he got poisoned.
The loud ringing of the explosion still resounded within his ears as he gradually tried lifting himself up.
'F**k that hurts.' Druak was covered in burns and the one on his back seemed to cause the greatest amount of pain, it was an incredibly sharp pain. His face scrunched up as he tried to lift himself with what little strength he had left.
After eventually managing to sit up, the first thing he did was to check to make sure the skeleton was destroyed.'Damn it.' Druak slammed his fist into the rocks, causing blood to drip from his fist.
It seemed as though the skeleton had escaped from the blast, luckily it didn't go away completely unharmed. It seemed Druak had managed to greatly wound the skeleton as Druak could see the skeletal arm of the creature on the ground along with some rib bones.
Despite managing to greatly wound such a fearsome creature Druak was still furious at himself.'I'm such an idiot, I should have used more dura crystals even if it meant I had to die. I should have never asked for help.'
"AAAAHH!!!" Druak yelled in frustration. He knew what that creature could do and it was now roaming free.
Druak couldn't handle it anymore he had to do something. He leapt to his feet and was about to charge straight to find the Necron crystal to increase his mana core, he knew the only way to beat that thing was for him to get stronger.
But before he could move even a single step, excruciating pains pulsated throughout his body causing him to drop almost instantly straight back to the floor.
As he dropped to the floor he slowly lowered his body to the ground, laying his back against the cold hard floor he let out a short*huff*.
'I can't even move, I'm such an idiot. Why didn't I think that ominous voices offer more. Isacc might not even be alive.' Druak began criticising everything he had done since that point, realising he had only been thinking about himself getting stronger and lost track of everything else..
'Maybe I should have stayed at the village instead of trying to change who I am...No I need to change... To get stronger, so when the time comes I can take my REVENGE.'
"First, I need to stop myself from bleeding out." Druak said as a sharp pain caused him to wince.
Druak managed to push through the pain and get back to his feet. He then began to tear apart his cloth shirt revealing the burns, bruises and multiple other injuries he had accumulated.
He then began to grab the smallest-sized dura crystal and started to crush it down into fine dust. As long as dura crystals weren't in contact with mana they wouldn't explode so he made sure no mana escaped his body.
Once he made the crystals into a fine enough dust he wrapped it in some cloth and looked for something to stop him from biting his tongue. As he searched around he noticed a nearby twig that seemed clean enough to use and put it inside his mouth, chewing down on it.
He then grabbed a pinch of dura crystal dust and put it onto a piece of cloth he ripped off.
'Here goes nothing.' Druak quickly wraps the cloth around the wound on his chest.
*Tssss* "Argh!!" The smell of burning flesh entered Druaks nostrils as the dura dust began to slowly burn his wounds shut. 'Damn that hurt. I still have to do that with all the other wounds, this is gonna be fun.' He then repeats this process with all the large wounds around his body.
'That hurt like hell but at least I won't die from blood loss now.' Druak had been feeling incredibly weak and tired after everything he went through and was constantly trying to keep his eyes open.
'I can't sleep here, I need to get moving and find somewhere safe to set up camp.'Druak knew the risks of staying in this place, especially with the remanence of all this dark mana.
Slowly Druak began to stumble through the mountainous path as he tried to find out where exactly he ended up.
The pain from his wounds was so excruciating that he sometimes couldn't even stand and ended up just collapsing back to the floor. However, after all contact falling and getting back up he finally reaches a high enough peak for him to see where he was.
As he looked from atop the peak his face contorted in anger. Before him was the ritual site where all the villagers had died. He didn't realise just how close he actually was to it.
He looked down at all the devastation that was caused and began to inspect the ritual site to make sure no knights or anything else that could be dangerous was around after noticing the location was safe he gradually stumbled down the mountain towards the ritual site.
'The least I can do is pay respect to them.'Druak was finally down the mountain and looked at the piles of corpses lying around the ritual site. He was disgusted at the fact that they were left there as if they meant nothing.
He knew the being that possessed him was horrible but he at least expected the knights to give them the traditional send off.
Druak couldn't just leave them here. He looked at the bodies and made up his mind. He began to collect wood and twigs bringing them towards the ritual site, this had taken him hours to do but it was his fault that they died so he believed he should at least give them a proper send off.
Once he believed he had collected enough wood he gradually moved all the bodies to one specific location. Due to his injuries, he stumbled and fell a great deal of times but he eventually managed to put all the bodies together.
"Humm uh hum." He began to hum a song that was used to send off brave warriors after a battle, this was one of the four kingdoms' most respectable send offs and would typically only be done for knights or nobility.
Druak slowly knelt down and lit a small fire onto a torch he then threw the torch into the twigs he collected.
"I will make that creature pay for what he has done, just you wait." Druak rose from the ground with anger in his eyes but at the same time determination. However, due to his anger he hadn't noticed something....a small fiery aura seemed to surround his body just for a second before it disappeared.
As Druak walked away a shadowy silhouette could be seen just behind a small rock formation, watching Druak as he slowly walked away.
"Interesting." The shadowy figure disappeared as if they were never there.
