Chapter 5 - Chapter 5

'What was that?' Logan held his head in confusion, trying to comprehend the vision he saw a few seconds ago.

He was still in the middle of thinking about what happened when the bell rang to signify the beginning of classes.

Throughout the time he spent in class, he was unable to focus since he was trying to recall what he saw. The flashback was brief, so he had a difficult time understanding it. All he knew was that he saw Daphne, a strange middle-aged man, and himself lying on the ground, in a pool of blood.

What was worth taking note of was that it was the exact place he woke up the next morning, so it was quite strange.

Daphne didn't glance at him throughout their time in school and left as soon as the bell rang.

Logan rushed after her as she stepped out. Even though he wasn't a hundred percent certain of his thoughts, he knew he had to at least try to ask her about it.

Castiel didn't even get the time to ask what was happening before Logan rushed out.

"Fine, I'll wait for you at Steph's school." He yelled before standing up.

Outside the school.

Daphne was walking when Logan approached.

"Hello, please wait." Logan called out.

'Will she think I'm delusional?' Logan thought to himself.

Approaching someone and asking them if they saw you in the middle of the night was quite strange, especially when you and the person don't even speak to each other.

If this was a random vision that entered his head, then it wouldn't mean much, all he had to do was apologize to her and then head out to pick up his younger sister from school. However, if she were to say she was present there, then he could ask her what happened to him.

"Can I help you?" Daphne turned around and asked, a little blandly.

"Sorry, but I don't know how to put it." Logan apologized before even speaking, "Okay, did you by any chance see me lying in the woods on Friday night?"

"No." Daphne replied after his question.

Logan froze, unsure of what to do. He was already cursing himself for even asking her in the first place. A random vision came to him and he suddenly approached the girl he wasn't even speaking with to ask if she was in the woods in the night.

"Anything else?" Daphne asked when she saw him frozen.

"No, no. Sorry for disturbing you." Logan shook his head before turning around.

He was still perplexed by the incident. A person can't just randomly lose a night's memory.

'Could I truly have been attacked by a bear?' He stood motionless on the spot as Daphne walked away.

After a while, he turned around to leave but froze soon after. He perceived a familiar scent not too far away from him and he turned in that direction. He saw no one, but he was certain that the scent was coming from behind the woods.

'Hmm, I'll have to go pick up Steph first.' He said to himself before turning around.

Behind a large tree, Daphne could be seen hiding.

"He transformed? Even sooner than expected. His senses have already been heightened to this level already. It's almost the same as a Mid stage Rank One Beta." Daphne muttered while looking at Logan's disappearing figure.

"This is bad. I'll have to report to dad. A blood moon will be coming soon, if he's not apprehended before then…" She froze before sighing.

This was not a small matter. Logan was supposed to be dead, however, he not only survived but he was turned as well. From the looks of things, she could ascertain that he had no idea of what happened that night, he might get some flashbacks, but it was blurry hence he approached her to confirm if his memory was correct.

Daphne's figure suddenly moved at a speed impossible to keep up with the human eye. If people were here, they would all think she disappeared.

Deep in the woods in Dixon Town, a large building was situated there, made from wood.

Daphne soon came rushing in and stopped running when she got to the door of the building.

"Dad, we have a problem." She said as she walked into the house.

"What's wrong?" The voice of a middle-aged man came from her back as the man's figure appeared behind her.

Daphne went on to tell him about Logan's situation.

"Impossible. He shouldn't be able to turn. There's no logical explanation to it." The middle-aged man refused to believe what he was hearing.

He is way older than Daphne, so he knew things she didn't.

"I saw him, and from what I can tell, his senses have already been heightened. If I'm not mistaken, he should already be in the Middle stage of Rank One." Daphne replied.

"When you changed, it took you almost two years to get to that stage. And that's with my training, now, you're saying there might be a rogue werewolf who might be able to transcend the ranks quickly?" The middle-aged man was shocked by what he was hearing.

"I can't say. All I know is that he caught my scent from a distance of almost five hundred meters. I'm a Rank Four vampire, I can hide easily from Rank Two werewolves, but the fact that he caught my scent so easily is insane." Daphne replied.

"Hmm, I'll look into the matter. But first things first, a blood moon is coming. What do you think we do with him?" The middle-aged man asked.

"Should we take him to the organization? They know what to do with people like him." Daphne asked.

"Hmm, I'll report the matter to the organization first. Keep me updated. I trust you'll keep him in control while I'm gone." The middle-aged man sighed, "They're not going to believe this either. While you're at it, try to search up his family history, maybe they have a connection to werewolves."

"Okay." Daphne nodded.

The middle-aged man didn't stay any longer, leaving as soon as they finished their discussion. The organization had a branch in Riverside County, unfortunately, it was not in Dixon Town.
