Chapter 10 - Chapter 10

"Hey, are you alright?" Castiel asked Logan as they highlighted the bus.

"Uh? Oh, yeah, yeah." Logan was lost, answering Castiel's question only after a momentary silence.

It was as if he had difficulty processing things.

"You've been acting strange since the weekend, but it seemed to have increased this morning, there's no way you are going to tell me you're alright and I'll believe you." Castiel didn't buy his words.

They've been friends since they were young, so he knew almost all there was to know about Logan.

"Don't worry about it for now. I'll tell you when the time is right." Logan sighed, clearly not certain if it was right to tell Castiel about what he was experiencing.

If things went on like this, he was sure that he might lose his sanity.

'I need to find Daphne, maybe she knows something.' He thought to himself.

"Whatever it is, just know I'll be here for you just like always." Castiel said. He knew Logan, since he was stubborn about this issue, it meant it was inappropriate for him to tell him now. No matter how much he pressures him, Logan won't tell him about what he's going through, so he decided to let the matter go, for now.

When the trio got to Logan's house, they saw a car parked outside the house.

"Dad's back." Stephanie said excitedly as she ran into the building.

Logan smiled slightly before following behind, accompanied by Castiel.

When they entered the building, they saw Stephanie in her father's arms.

"How have you been doing, boys?" Mr. Smith asked when the duo stepped into the house.

"Fine, sir." Castiel was the first to reply.

"Good to hear." Mr. Smith smiled before fixing his gaze on Logan, "What happened to your cell phone?"

"It fell." Logan replied, as he replied, he experienced a flashback once again, this time, he was suspended in the air by a creature, and after the creature threw him to the ground, it stepped on his phone as it tried to escape.

From how the creature looked, it was a wolf, but it was clearly walking on two legs. It stood over two meters tall, with blue hair and blue eyes.

Just as his body was about to hit the ground, he saw himself being held by a man. It was none other than the man he saw with Daphne.

After the man dropped him, this time, he heard part of what they were saying.

'This is why I told you to take care of it immediately, but you clearly didn't listen to me.'

This was all he heard, and it was from the man reprimanding Daphne. The flashback ended after this statement.

It was very fast, and before the others around could notice anything was wrong with Logan, he had already regained his senses.

'I was attacked... by a wolf?' Logan asked himself in shock.

He still found it hard to believe it was a wolf since wolves don't stand on two legs. But the appearance of the creature was definitely that of a wolf.

He was once again stuck in a confused state, with too many questions but no answers.

His father's return will make things even more difficult for him. If his dream was what happened the previous night, it meant those close to him might be in danger. He obviously had no control over what was happening, and he could be said to be extremely dangerous right now. After all, there's a chance that he killed eight people the previous night.

Logan tried to stay calm in front of his father and friend, but he could barely keep himself calm. He suddenly thought of something Castiel told him some days ago, werewolves.

The chances of this being the highest possibility were very high. First of all, he was attacked by a wolf that could stand on its hind legs and was very large. After that, he dreamt of attacking some people, his hands had large claws and were also hairy just like that of the wolf that attacked him. The next day, the news of those men being attacked by a wolf came out.

Three eyewitnesses claimed to see a large wolf with brown fur and slight blue marks on its body run past them. Those were the men who were being attacked by the group of eight.

Connecting the dots, it started to make small sense to him, but he still had a question he wanted to be answered. At the time he was dropped, according to his vision, he heard sounds of fighting before a whimpering sound from the wolf which went silent soon after. This meant that it fought with something, or someone who killed or at the very least, defeated it. There were only two people present at that time, Daphne and the man beside her. The man was holding onto him, which meant Daphne was the one who attacked the wolf.

'If she killed the wolf, that would make her a wolf hunter. Doesn't that mean she would try to kill me?' Fear suddenly crept into the mind of Logan.

He quickly decided the best thing to do was to avoid Daphne. Since Castiel found a place to read about werewolves, he would also check it out. Maybe he could get an idea of what was happening to him.

For some reason, he couldn't help but look at himself. When Castiel told him about werewolves, he didn't even think about it twice since he didn't believe in such things, but as things stand, he didn't even know what to do anymore.

Mr. Smith didn't pursue the issue of Logan's destroyed phone, it was already damaged and there was nothing they could do about it.

He stayed with them for a few hours before leaving for work.

Logan was sure the reason his father returned this early was because of the wolf attack in the main part of town. This was the reason he traveled the last time, so it meant it would definitely draw him back once he heard about it.

Like always, he would be staying out throughout the night. This made Logan heave a sigh of relief.

Castiel decided to sleep over at his place today which Logan wanted to protest about, but his father had already agreed to it, so there was nothing he could do about it.

Later that night, Logan started his research on werewolves on his computer. He was afraid to fall asleep, because of the fear of attacking those around him.
