Chapter 17 - Aretha’s Tea

Thea stopped dead in her tracks the minute she stepped inside the Clubhouse pavilion. An intense wave of desire slammed into her. She scanned the area hoping to find its source. Her eyes widened when she understood what and who was emitting such strong emotions.

She quickly ran out of the place holding her laughter. When she was a good meter away, she laughed so hard that there were tears in her eyes.

She felt a couple of her crew mates join her. They too were having such a good time. All because their leader, the male who formed RagTag MC, the same male who swore never to feel any affection other than the need to screw, was with a woman and a baby.

A woman she might add, looked like she wanted to wring his neck.

Has the mighty fallen?

'I'm still mighty,' huffed Jin. He was communicating with Tea, Thea's dragon. 'She is my mate, of course, I would want her,' he said defensively.

'And?' Tea replied, the last two sounds of the two letters were dragged like it was empathizing something. 'You want me to tell me what? Did I even say something? And why do you sound so defensive?'

All she got was another huff. Tea was ecstatic, seeing Jin in such a mood was something she always wanted to happen. She was about to say something when she sensed another presence in Jin's realm.

One was a baby that still has no shifter side, another was a little western dragon. However, there was another being in the realm that was not quite there, but IT was. She had never met this being. Both of them lived for a long time, yet this was the first time she had felt this kind of power.

Feminine, deadly, omniscient, and could destroy the world.

A shiver ran through her when it brushed against Tea. It was not a threatening kind of approach but it did show her what this being was capable of.

'Do not worry,' it said. There was a lightness in its voice. It was like she was being assured of its presence. 'For the only white dragon in the land, you have found a home that you belong to.' The compliment surprised Tea, women often insult her, yet this one felt that she would kill if one unkind word were uttered against her.

'Who are you?' Tea asked.

'You will know me. All in due time,' she replied, then vanished.

'Jin, that was unnerving,' Tea said. She sat beside Jin and looked at the sleeping children. While their bodies were busy playing and fussing in the normal realm, here they were sleeping with Jin.

'She cares for these kids,' Jin replied, as he looked at the last place where the being disappeared to.

'She is…'

'I know.'

"So, who is the chick?" Thea asked. She was still trying to figure out who the being and the woman were. But her gut instinct was telling her that they were one and the same.

"Don't know," Biscuits said. He was lying on the ground after laughing his ass off. "Kayla, the little girl in purple shoes, named her Angel." He threw Thea a grin before he continued. "She was the one who slammed Mocha on the ground."

"Hey!" the latter protested.

Two more men started walking away when Biscuits started talking about Angel. Thea tilted her head indicating the two he nodded in response.

"Really?!" exclaimed Thea. "She did?! Those two are heavy!"

Biscuits only nodded, then stood up. "Can you imagine a woman this tall," putting his hand on the middle of his chest palm facing down, "taking down two of our most powerful enforcers? Their defense was that they were caught off guard, but I have doubts with that." He looked at the two men walking back to the pavilion.

"Wanna test her out yourself?" asked Thea. She only got a glimpse of the woman, her black hair was in a ponytail and she was wearing Pyr's patch. Aretha's mind wanted to see how well she could do.

"Ugh, Thea, please don't," Mocha requested. "Pyr had already staked claim to her, which pretty much says she is off-limits."

"Don't worry, Mo. She may be off-limits to you guys, but not for me," she replied. "And besides, I need to forget the live show I was forced to witness, Ugh! Humans," she added.

"Live show?" the man asked, as both started walking back to the pavilion.

Thea nodded before explaining. "Prez must have pissed some chick off. The girl has some connections to the local gang, and sent these uncouth people to Prez…"

"Ah, so that was what he was talking about," was all Mocha could say.

Thea raised an eyebrow, asking what happened.

By the time they arrived back in the pavilion, she was definitely intrigued.

She was not the kind of woman Pyr would usually associate with. For the last five years, Thea had never seen him with a woman. So the sudden interest in this particular woman was worth mulling over.

Oh, Jin and Tea have talked, and from the way Tea has told her, the woman was Jin's mate. Prez, by the looks of it, was still trying to process things. But at the same time, just to pacify his beast, he had to be with her.

Talk about stress.

Aretha quickly searched for the woman once she was inside the pavilion. She was expecting that she would stand out in the crowd, but she was wrong. Most especially when she crept up beside her and offered a glass of orange juice to her, and quietly said, "Thank you."

Thea had never been caught off guard. Her reflexes were so good that it took three years for the crew to learn never to mess with her even when she sleeps.

Yet this woman did it with ease which speaks volumes about her ability.

She was about to reply to her, but she was gone, leaving not even a scent or a trace of energy to follow.

Memory or not, the woman they call "Angel" was dangerous…and it starts with the capital letter D.
