Chapter 2 - Magic

"This…" As he put his hands on his face he saw the reflection doing the exact same thing. He wanted to believe something was wrong with his eyes but he couldn't even if he tried. His real body was the complete opposite from this.

His soft and pale white skin was now a dark tanned skin. His short and plump body was now an at least 6'8 monster of a body with huge bulging muscles. His harmless beta face had turned into a scary omega male with a sharp look. Even he felt a bit scared looking at the eyes of his own reflection. Even his short black hair was now a long and thick dreadlocks that were tied back in a large ponytail using some kind of vine.

He got up off the ground in a daze before carefully looking around paying more attention to the details. The large thick forest with strange trees that looked to be from the prehistoric age. The clothes he was wearing were made of plants and animal fur with bones and strange trinkets as decorations. The large tree at the center of the island he was on had a door and windows, it was definitely a house. As he looked up into the sky he could vaguely see huge roots behind the blue sky as if it holding up the world. Even the sun when he looked carefully he found that it was actually A large flower bulb shining brightly that was hanging down from the roots.

Gulp…

"No way, right? Things like this happen in novels all the time, but never for real right? No, No, there has to be something I'm missing, what am I forgetting? I clearly remember going to my friends house and then I ran across the street …. Then … Wait why don't I remember reaching the other side of the road? .. ... Did I make it to the other side??!! Did I get hit by a car?! No, was it a truck? Truck-kun? Truck-kun WHY!????'' After coming to this realization he started to have a small panic attack.

No normal person would be fine with learning they died right? He still had friends and family and was even looking forward to starting college next year! Even if he might not have been at the top of the food chain when it came to the social hierarchy since he was a bit of a nerd, he was still happy. What better time to live as a weak beta male than the 21s century? He had the internet and all the good jobs depended on intellect rather than brawn. There was even the police that had the job to keep him safe but who will protect him here??!

Fortunately there was no other person in this place to witness the scene of a monster of a man lying on the ground while holding his legs to his chest. He was cradling himself back and forth breathing heavily. If it wasn't for the last bit of dignity he still had he might have his thumb in his mouth. This little episode ended up lasting almost thirty minutes!

After half an hour passed he finally started calming down as he started to take long and slow deep breaths. He then wiped the tear streaks off his face and sat back up onto the ground. He actually did remember something else during his small episode. He remembered being in a completely white place and a small cute child looking up at him with a big smile. Strangely enough though he couldn't remember any other feature on the child's face at all, only the big smile he had as he looked straight up at him. Maybe that was his actual dream? However this memory was of no use to him right now so immediately discarded into the back of his mind.

"So this is really happening. I have transmigrated into my RPG character I created. Doesn't this mean I'm also in the RPG world? If I am then it means the outside is full of danger and not something I can deal with right now…. Wait, wouldn't I be able to deal with it in the future? If I really am in my RPG character's body doesn't that mean I can get stronger? Wait doesn't that mean I would also have my powers as well?! ... I remember that at the last level of druid I could get the spell Plane shift! Wouldn't I be able to go back to my world then?" As those thoughts appeared into his mind he couldn't help but get excited again but forcibly calmed down realizing he was getting way ahead of himself.

"Max level is way too far. I don't even know if I can even use magic in the first place… At first level I had chosen a few druid spells.. what were they again? … Right, I remember. I had the normal druid magic every druid which can make small plants grow and even tell the weather for the next day. Lets try the weather prediction."

He took a deep breath and put out one of his hands as he started concentrating on what he wanted to do and after a few seconds he suddenly felt as if he had used up some kind of energy inside his body which he strangely hadn't noticed before. Now that he new of its existence he could clearly tell it was there which made him think it was a bit odd that he hadn't felt it before.

'This energy should be primal power which druids use to cast their magic.'' He thought quietly while still concentrating. After a few more seconds the energy stopped being pulled out of his body which meant the spell had been completed. It was then that small yellow orb with a few moving clouds appeared right above his hands.

"I-I can cast magic! I can cast magic! hahahaha!" He shouted before letting out a loud laugh in excitement.

"Imagine if those isekai nerds could see me now! They would kill to be in my place!'' As he thought back to his friends he couldn't help but feel a little bit lonely and sad but he quickly shook his head getting rid the depressing thoughts and concentrated back to the amazing scene floating right above his hands.
