Chapter 3 - Beastform!

The spell ended up lasting for a whole minute but his excitement didn't die out at all as he went on to try out the other part of the druid spell on the grass under his feet. As soon as he casted it he saw a few small flowers started popping up one after the other between the grass.

He just couldn't get enough of it and tried to remember the other spells he could cast at his level. This was the first time he had ever created a druid so it took him a bit to remember what he had available for this class.

"I should also have weak element control, right? So earth, wind, fire, and water control." He raised his hand and pointed it at the water, willing it to move in his mind. He could feel his energy slowly being drained once again as the dark water of the lake started to churn slightly, making visible ripples visible on the surface. Seeing the effect he frowned slightly before he started to put more and more energy until finally a small ball of water the size of a basketball rose out of the lake and floated around completely under his control.

He played around with the water for a few minutes before realizing he was a bit thirsty and suddenly a lightbulb seemed to light up above his head. The water sphere slowly moved towards him until it was just a few inches above his head. He then started to concentrate as he imagined a small tornado-like tail forming and moving straight into his mouth. As the energy in his body started leaving a bit faster, the tail was actually formed as it started moving slowly towards him. Seeing his success he quickly opened his mouth however right when he did he suddenly lost control of the water above him falling straight into his mouth and down his throat. The large man opened his eyes wide before starting to cough uncontrollably choking on the water that had gone down the wrong pipe.

"Cough cough cough.. that was a bad cough cough… a a bad idea! cough cough" He stood there coughing for a full minute before he finally felt comfortable again. Casting spells aren't as easy as he thought. He can't break concentration on any of the things he is doing at one time or he loses control over the whole spell! Making the water float was as if he was making circles in the air with one hand and when he started making the tornado it was as if he was also trying to make squares in the air with his left all at once. He could do it for a little but any lapse in concentration and he lost control over everything!

As he was choking he had remembered the last two spells he had at his level. The first one was lesser heal but he had nothing to use it on and he wasn't going to hurt himself so he gave up on that and focused on the last one, the spell he was the most excited about! Beast form!!

Unfortunately he had given his character a big nerf by writing down that he could only turn into dinosaurs and prehistoric animals, trying to stay to the theme of the prehistoric druid he had created. Fortunately though he still had plenty of choices so it wasn't too bad.

If he remembered correctly the first level shapeshift only allowed him to turn into tiny sized creatures so he thought back to the big list of creatures he had written that his druid should be allowed to turn into and easily made his choice.

The Pterosaur! It was a flying dinosaur that looked to be a mix of a bird, a bat, and a lizard all at the same time. Not many people knew but there were Pterosaurs of almost every size and he chose one of the smaller versions of it. The real reason he chose it though was because it could fly!

He was excited but a little nervous as well as this spell would completely change his body. He chose to close his eyes and started to concentrate as he pictured the small animal in his mind willing himself to turn. As the energy started leaving his body he started to feel it changing quickly, his skin, bones, arms, every single part of him changing. It didn't even take 10 seconds before he felt the spell completely stop. The amount of primal energy he ended up using almost all that he still had left! He even started feeling dizzy making him realize there were consequences for overusing the primal energy in his body.

He slowly opened his eyes quickly noticing the differences. His vision was the very first thing he noticed as his eyes were now sitting on the sides of his head instead of the front. His size was also very small compared to before, he was able to instantly tell due to how close the ground seemed to his face. Fortunately it might be because of his druid class since even though his body was completely different he didn't feel too uncomfortable. He felt as if he could move his limbs as if this was his original body in the first place!

The small pterosaur looked at its own body for a few seconds before letting out a smile in his mind. The small creature then did a short run with his little feet and as soon as he flapped his wings his small body quickly rose off the ground. It only took a few flaps before he started rising quickly into the air.

"WOOOOOOOOO!!!!!" Feeling the wind brushing across his face and the scene quickly changing as he flew higher and higher he couldn't help but let out a scream in excitement. He noticed that he seemed to be able to use his normal voice even in his beast form which surprised him a little but his mind was quickly brought back to what he was doing, He was flying!

The small pterosaur flew further and further from the ground until he felt like his small wings could no longer take him any higher as if there was an invisible ceiling he couldn't cross. Even though he was so high up he found he was still incredibly far from the top, he could see the roots even more clearly but he still couldn't see the ceiling! He then looked down onto the ground and saw the vast land spread out beneath him.

As he was looking down from high up he started to feel all nervousness and stress he was feeling before being all washed away and his thinking became clearer.

'Oh right, I also have a druid passive which raises my affinity to beasts by a tier as well… though I had changed it to only raise the affinity to prehistoric beasts and dinos though, but that should be enough to protect me in this place though right? The animals that are hostile should be brought down to neutral so they shouldn't attack me on sight if I mean no harm I think. Where are the animals anyway? I haven't seen any yet even being this high up in the air… And isn't this land a little too big? Maybe I exaggerated a bit on the numbers when I wrote down it was around 400 thousand square kilometers? Well it's better anyways since all this land now belongs to me right? hahaha! everything the light touches is mine!" The small bird started to make spins and flips in the air as his happiness was translated into his movements

.

He flew a bit more enjoying the wind on his body when he suddenly stopped in place. He feltl there was something wrong! As a druid he was very connected to not only nature but this place especially! So he quickly realized what the problem was. Something or someone entered this place from the outside!

"Shouldn't this place be underground? How was it found so fast?" He thought to himself while frowning.

After thinking about what to do for a second he ultimately decided to go towards the anomaly. This is his land! Who dares come here without his permission! He's got a powerful and scary body now and is no longer who he was before! No matter who it is they will definitely get intimidated just looking at him! And ... And if they don't, then well he doesn't mind being a good host and making some friends as well…. However, If they are hostile …. Well this land is huge and he can fly away so there should be too much danger….

Turning his small body in mid air he flew as fast as his small body would carry him towards the place where his guests had just entered.
