Josh stopped walking momentarily and once again turned to face the guy, he gave the guy a glance and an awkward side smile before he saluted him and continued walking away from him with Tom.
When Josh turned back around he scoffed lightly before stoping with a heavy sigh, he shook his head before looking up at the sky as he continued walking, he was observing the clouds and the beautiful shades of blue lighting up the sky.
Tom was walking by his side, he had been watching and observing both Josh and the guy rather closely throughout their conversation.
He also let out a quick sigh as he was walking away beside Josh, as Josh wasn't looking where he was going and was instead looking at clouds and birds and whatnot, Tom made sure to check around so that Josh wouldn't bump into anyone or trip, a couple of times Josh was about to walk into different things such as a post and Tom tried to direct him away but Josh still walked into it and this finally led to him having to look back down from the sky.
The guy, however, was stood rooted on the spot and only looked away from them once they'd gone out of his sight, he also let out a sigh before he ruffled his own hair with an exasperated expression plastered on his face. He cursed under his breath and then shook his head, let go of his hair and turned around and walked away in the opposite direction of Josh and Tom.
Josh rubbed the spots which had been hit, the spots included his leg and hip, but soon he let go and sighed once again, he looked at Tom and smiled warmly at him.
"So what now?" Tom asked him when he noticed Josh looking at him.
"Well, we have another seminar at eleven am until twelve am, and it's a few minutes past ten am right now, since we've just come out form a lecture." Tom said as he checked his watch briefly and looked back up into Josh's face. "So that means we have just a little under an hour to do something. We could go to a nearby cafe for a cup of coffee or something before the next class? Or maybe the new bookstore that opened? Anything else is fine too of course."
"We have quite a while don't we? We could do all of those things couldn't we?" Josh replied with a bright smile.
"Well yes, if we hurry." Tom replied with a light nod as he turned away from Josh and started walking at a faster pace in the direction they were originally headed.
"Hey, is that a dig at last time? I swear it only took me over an hour to finish that large cappuccino because I was reading at the time!" Josh said in an exasperated tone as he quickly followed after Tom with a helpless smile on his face.
"I'd beg to differ," replied Tom a few steps ahead of him, "if you were why did I only see you with both your hands on the cup as you sipped the cold coffee slowly?" Asked Tom with a devilishly handsome smirk on his face.
"It was because I had finished reading at that point!" Josh called out again in an aggrieved tone with a smile still on his face.
"Yeah, yeah." Replied Tom as he waved his hand and closed his eyes briefly as Josh caught up to him and started to slow down and walk at a normal pace beside Tom.
"So where are we going again?" Asked Josh as he looked over at Tom through the corners of his eyes. Josh then proceeded to put his hands in his pockets and subconsciously bent forwards a bit so that he was at the same height and eye level as Tom.
Tom looked back at him looking somewhat unimpressed with Josh's actions and then proceeded to reply, "Well, the cafe's closer so we could either go there first, since it's on the way, or we could go there last since it'd be on the way back to campus." He stated mater of factly, "Either way, that would mean we would go to the bookstore either straight before that or after that, as the bookstore is only a block away from the cafe."
He then looked at Josh once again and continued after seeing Josh's face contort in what Tom could only guess was confusion, "Then if you'd like to do something else too that'd have to be before or after we go to the cafe, do you understand?"
Tom was smiling as he finished talking, he couldn't help but find the look on Josh's face funny, Tom was biting his lower lip somewhat roughly to stop himself from laughing, his lips twisted up at the corners slightly in his struggle and Josh in his confused state saw it.
Josh who had been completely silent throughout these few minuets finally opened his mouth and with a betrayed expression on his face and a slight pout on his lips said, "Hey, you're not trying to pull something on me are you?" He sighed exasperatedly after he'd finished speaking.
"No, of course not. I think your brain is though, are we really in the same grade?" Tom questioned sarcastically with a grin on his lips.
Josh smiled at this and lightly punched Tom on the shoulder playfully. Tom was pushed forward slightly and at that moment Josh heard a noise, something he could only describe as a sort of snapping sound.
He quickly moved his hand away from Tom and instead placed it on his ear carefully, he then pressed down on his ear as he wondered what that sound was. "…Hey did you hear that?" He asked finally as he looked back up at Tom.
"Hm? Did you say something?" Tom asked as he looked back at Josh with a blank expression on his face. "You good man?" He added seeing Josh's expression.
"No, it's nothing… oh, sorry man. Guess I pushed you a bit hard, that's my bad." Josh replied as he let go of his ear, he pondered the thought that perhaps there was never a noise in the first place. He thought perhaps he really did have something wrong with him.
