On the third floor of the newly Long-Fall Pass Trading Center. A middle-aged woman walked with a satisfying smile on her face into a big lavish room.
The room was fully lavish with expensive materials. From the smallest thing to the biggest thing was quality. She walked with small steps and touched each of the items with a deep shiny glow in her brown eyes.
"Finally, I achieved my dream. Let's see who dares to look down on me." She whispered.
She raised her shoulder and puffed her chest out and walked toward the most beautiful chair in the room and sat slowly. "This feels good."
"My life with the long-Fall Pass is over. I need to enjoy my life. Humph!" She snorted and made herself a cup of tea and sipped it slowly.
"After the small boy had left. I will have everything for myself. I will buy all the most expensive things in this world." She continued to fantasize about everything she would buy with the newly acquired wealth.
The beast parts and elixir they brought along on this trip were enough for them to last a long period. If other stores had the materials, they won't have to worry for over a year.
Long-Fall Pass was surrounded by gigantic forests with millions of monster beasts. It was fertile soil and an unexplored location for men. Many resources are hidden deep within the forest, waiting to be mined.
In terms of beasts parts and elixir materials. If the Long-Fall city boasted second place. No one in the surrounding city both far and near dared take first.
"What are you doing?" Raymond asked, barging into the room without knocking.
Meyla frowned and opened her eyes. "Can't you knock?" Her voice raised an octave.
"Why would I knock? It's not like this is your bedroom or sort." He sneered.
"But this is now my office."
"Oh! I don't know." He looked at her in disdain.
"Don't get delusional. But I can see why though."
He sat on one of the cushions and took a fruit from the numerous fruits placed on the small table at the center of the room.
Meyla opened her mouth to refute but closed it slowly and a deep glint appeared in her eyes with an evil smile.
"Are we done today?"
"Why ask me? I'm not your subordinate." He bit into the apple and savored the taste slowly, closing his eyes. 'If we could have this fruit in Long-Fall it would be the best.'
"Let's get going?" Donald barged into the room with a thick book in his hand.
He raised his head and saw Raymond and Meyla enjoying themselves. Meyla was sipping her tea with a satisfying smile while Raymond closed his eyes eating an apple.
"You two are enjoying yourself when the work has yet to be done."
"You need to relax. We've completed his highness order. And besides, our sales for today were beyond our imagination. Even his highness would praise us."
Donald shook his head. "I'm not his highness. But I would warn you not to get complacent."
"Tsk! Why are you so scared of the prince? He's not even here." She snorted. 'I won't let anyone take away my riches this time around.'
'If you know what I know. You would fear his highness.' Donald thought.
"It's getting late. Let's get going."
"You're a mood wrecker."
In the Bloom hotel, a young man sat beside the window with many empty bottles of wine. The room ricked with wine. Though the room was full of wine, the face of the young man didn't show any form of drunkenness.
'It's been long since I drank to this extent.' He thought with a wry smile on his face.
Whenever he was depressed or stuck in his research in his previous life. He drank to cool his head. He wanted to avoid excessive drinking in this life. But it seems fate has another plan for him.
With his mouth touching wine, he knew wouldn't be able to avoid it again in this life. He was a chronic drinker. He learned how to drink from the age of ten from his father.
That was the only good thing he learned from his father. Others may see it as a bad thing but Al Casendra took it as a good thing. It serves as a connection between him and his dad.
He took another swig of wine from the wine jar and belched loudly, using the back of his palm to rub his mouth.
Outside the door, a middle-aged man stood straight like a pole without blinking. Only the heavens knew how long he had been standing.
"Can I see the young man?" Sienna came out of the room and asked.
She had been stuck in her room all day. She waited for a response from the young man but none came. Not that she was complaining about the free food and safety, but she wanted to know the decision of the young man on the ruin and the ancient skill.
"No!" Kako responded without looking at her.
Sienna shook her head dejectedly and returned to her room. Kako didn't budge from his position. After a couple of minutes, a series of footsteps echoed from the end of the corridor.
Raymond, Meyla, and Donald appeared with satisfying smiles on their faces. Seeing Kako in front of Al Casendra's room. The smile on their faces disappeared.
"What's going on?" Donald asked.
"Nothing," Kako responded with a cold voice.
Hmm!
The three looked at each and felt something was amiss.
"Can we see his highness?"
"You have to wait till tomorrow. Highness won't meet anyone for now."
"Oh!" Raymond's mouth was slightly aghast.
The three didn't utter a word and left for their rooms. Before Meyla entered her room. She took a last glance at Al Casendra with a curious look. 'Is this good or bad?' She thought and closed her door.
Deep in the night, a group of black men dashed toward a particular direction with light steps not making a sound. Among them were many wind mages using their magic to move swiftly.
"We are almost there. We're to steal their goods and leave the building intact." A cranky voice whispered.
In another location, another group of men blends with the cover of the night. They were covered in dark robes with a small dagger hung on their waist.
"We kill everyone except for one middle-aged man." A voice whispered.
"Are you ready?"
